Chapter 17 - the most Powerful being in the multiverse

The Robertson brothers, Theodore and Mateo, along with their loyal companion, Jasther, stood amidst the ruins of the Mermaid Queen Alora's domain. The battle had been fierce, but their determination and strength had prevailed. With Alora defeated, they set their sights on their next destination: their abandoned homeland.

As their ship cut through the vast expanse of space, an unsettling darkness began to creep into their path. It was not just the absence of light, but a palpable, oppressive force that seemed to drain the very essence of their being. The black aura grew thicker, more suffocating, as they ventured deeper into the unknown.

"What is this darkness?" Mateo asked, his voice tinged with unease.

Theodore, ever vigilant, tightened his grip on his black sword, a gift from the demon Artorius. "It's not just darkness. It's a presence. Something powerful."

Jasther, scanning the ship's instruments, nodded in agreement. "This aura… it's unlike anything we've encountered. It's blocking our path, and it's getting stronger."

Determined to push through, they steered their ship forward, but the aura resisted, pressing down on them with an almost tangible weight. The ship's hull groaned under the strain, and the trio could feel the immense pressure bearing down on them.

After what felt like an eternity, they finally broke through the barrier. The ship lurched forward, free from the oppressive aura, and they found themselves face to face with the source of the darkness. Floating before them was a being of unimaginable power, its form shifting and changing, as if it were made of the very fabric of the multiverse itself.

Theodore, Mateo, and Jasther stared in awe and terror. They had no idea what this being was, but they could feel its power radiating off it in waves. It was more powerful than all the gods they had faced combined.

The being's eyes, if they could be called that, locked onto the trio. It opened its mouth, and a voice echoed in their minds, a voice that seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere at once.

"You have come far, mortals. But your journey ends here."

Before they could react, the being's mouth opened wider, and a vortex of energy erupted from it, engulfing the ship and its occupants. They felt themselves being pulled into the vortex, their bodies and minds stretched to their limits. Then, everything went black.

When they awoke, they found themselves on an unknown planet. The sky was a swirling mass of colors, and the ground beneath them was a strange, shifting landscape. They could feel the presence of the being all around them, watching, waiting.

Theodore was the first to rise, his black sword still clutched in his hand. "Where are we?" he muttered, looking around.

Mateo groaned as he sat up, rubbing his head. "I don't know, but it feels… different. Like we're not in our universe anymore."

Jasther stood, his eyes scanning the horizon. "We're not. This place… it's beyond the multiverse. We're in the realm of that being."

As they gathered their bearings, the ground beneath them began to tremble. The being's voice echoed in their minds once more.

"You have proven yourselves worthy adversaries. But now, you must face the ultimate test. Survive, and you may earn the right to challenge me."

Theodore tightened his grip on his sword, his eyes blazing with determination. "We will survive. And we will defeat you."

With that, the trio set off into the unknown, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. They knew that their journey would be fraught with danger, but they also knew that they had each other. And together, they would overcome any obstacle, even if it meant facing the most powerful being in the whole multiverse.

As they ventured deeper into the strange landscape, they were suddenly confronted by a figure unlike any they had seen before. A half-elf, half-horse creature, wielding a shield and sword, emerged from the shadows. His eyes glowed with a fierce intensity, and his presence exuded power.

Without warning, the creature attacked. His movements were swift and precise, his strikes powerful and relentless. The trio fought back with all their might, but the creature was formidable, his strength and skill surpassing anything they had encountered.

The battle raged on, each side pushing the other to their limits. Theodore's lava powers flared, Mateo's demon-enhanced abilities surged, and Jasther's strategic mind worked overtime to find an opening. Finally, after a grueling struggle, they managed to overpower the creature.

As the half-elf, half-horse warrior lay defeated, he looked up at them with a mixture of respect and warning. "You are strong," he said, his voice strained. "But know this: on this planet, everyone is as strong as I am. Some, the magic knights, are even more powerful. Be careful, and show respect, for you will need it to survive here."

Theodore, Mateo, and Jasther nodded, understanding the gravity of his words. They helped the warrior to his feet, acknowledging his strength and valor. With newfound respect for their surroundings and the challenges ahead, they prepared to continue their journey, knowing that their greatest test was yet to come.
