"Chaos Eye, guide me!" Fowad shouted.
The world slowed for Fowad as his Chaos Eye revealed the true fiend among the copies. With precision, he lunged, his blade slicing through its core. The fiend let out a haunting wail as Foxy and Zoom delivered the final, coordinated blow.
Zoom used his lightning and Foxy used her claws to finish the battle.
The dark tendrils binding the tamers dissipated. Fowad knelt beside them, checking their pulses. Both were alive but unconscious, their breathing steady.
"Foxy, lead the way out," Fowad said, lifting one of the tamers onto his back while Zoom carried the other.
The journey back through the caverns was slow but uneventful. The oppressive whispers were gone, leaving only the faint sound of dripping water.
