Chapter 30 - Deborah and her pack of Vampires at Hollow Creek Town.30.

The night had fallen, casting an eerie silence over the abandoned prison yard. The old, crooked buildings loomed like specters in the moonlight, their crumbling walls holding countless secrets of the past. Deborah stood at the center of her pack, her presence commanding as she addressed her followers. "This will be our base for the time being," she announced, her voice steady and resolved. We will manage here while we plan and strategize. We've let Tamara get ahead of us, and it has cost us dearly. But I promise you all, we will return stronger than ever. The pack murmured in agreement, their faces reflecting determination mixed with the remnants of despair. Deborah gestured for them to move inside the dilapidated structure. Now, let's clean this place up. We need to make it suitable for our plans. As they settled into their temporary refuge, Rachel, one of Deborah's most loyal and formidable followers, stepped forward. Her dark eyes burned with intensity as she spoke. Look at us, limited to the ashes of what we once were. We used to dine like princes and princesses, kings and queens. Now we're reduced to this. Tamara must pay for this! Deborah met Rachel's gaze, a small smile forming on her lips. Don't worry yourself, Rachel. I can feel your pain. But the past is behind us now. We must focus on the future. She paused, surveying her pack. There's a small town nearby. We can expand our numbers from there. Which town? One of the followers asked, curious. "It's called Hollow Creek," Deborah replied, her voice dripping with confidence. From there, we will work on infiltrating the local government. That's what Tamara has succeeded in achieving in Uptown, and we must do the same. The pack listened intently as Deborah laid out her plan. We will place our members in significant roles within the government. Once we have established ourselves, we will strategize our attack. Tamara will not see us coming, and we will strike when she least expects it. Deborah's smile widened, a wicked gleam in her eyes. We must get back at Tamara for everything she has taken from us. Our time will come, and when it does, we will reclaim our rightful place in this world. As her followers nodded in agreement, the air thickened with anticipation. They understood the gravity of the mission ahead. United by a common goal, they began to discuss their next steps, igniting the spark of revenge that would guide them in the darkness.

On the other hand, Mrs Charlton and her team stormed the Chivay Orange Juice Factory.  The FBI commences their investigation. At the Chivay Orange Juice Factory, it looked like any normal business from the outside, workers in uniforms going about their duties, machinery humming in the background. As the FBI officials entered, they were greeted by Mr. Allison, the factory manager. His hands trembled slightly as he wiped the sweat from his brow, nervously eyeing the badges flashed before him. Mr. Allison, Mrs. Charlton said firmly, we're here under the authority of the FBI. We have a search warrant for this facility. We need you to cooperate fully. Mr. Allison swallowed hard, glancing around as if hoping someone would intervene. "I… I've been running this place for a year," he stammered, but I don't really know who owns it. I've only spoken to the owner once, through one of her bodyguards. Mrs Charlton raised an eyebrow. Her? He nodded slowly. Yes. A woman. The bodyguard... was strange, pale, always around at night. I think he might be a vampire. His voice lowered. I didn't know what was happening at first, but then I was told about a secret door. No one was allowed to open it, by direct orders from the owner, Deborah. The FBI agents stiffened at the mention of Deborah's name. "Where is this door?" Mrs. Charlton demanded. With shaking hands, Mr. Allison gestured for them to follow. He led them through the factory, past the workers who were oblivious to the dark truth lurking behind their daily routines. Eventually, they arrive at a heavy metal door, tucked away in a corner of the facility, hidden from plain view. This is it, Mr. Allison whispered. "I've never been allowed to go inside." Mrs Charlton nodded at her team. "Get this door open." With a few hard strikes, the door was broken open, revealing a hidden hall beyond. As the agents stepped inside, their faces paled. The sight before them was beyond anything they could have imagined. Blood was everywhere, large containers of blood, but no bodies were found. It seemed like after they were done with their victims they disposed their bodies.air was thick with the stench of death. Mrs Charlton, muttered to herself, this is human blood. I wondered where they had dumped the bodies. She took photos of the grim discovery. Mrs. Charlton turned to an agent. Call for backup. We need ambulances here immediately.  Mrs. Charlton commanded, her voice steady despite the horror before them. Agents moved swiftly, photographing the grotesque scene. Bloodstained every corner of the room, dripping from tubes and splattered across the cold, sterile floor. Medical equipment lay scattered, clearly used for draining the victims. Mrs Charlton took a deep breath, turning to Mr Allison, who stood trembling, his face drained of color. "How long has this been happening?" she asked, Mr Alison, the factory manager, replied, his voice trembling. I think... for about a year now. I'm truly sorry for my silence. It's just that my life and that  of my family were threatened by those... monsters. Please believe me, I had nothing to do with this. Mrs. Charlton sighed, her eyes scanning the factory floor. I understand, Mr. Alison. But for now, this place is shut down until further notice. No one is stepping foot in here until further notice. Mrs Charlton said and left, while her team rounded up and locked up the Factory.

Selena's judgement and Execution

The scene shifts back to the vampire facility. The atmosphere in the judgment room was tense and thick with anticipation as Tamara stood before the panel of judges. The room, lit by dim overhead lights, felt heavy with the weight of the decision they were about to make. Selena sat in a chair at the center, hands bound, her expression a mixture of defiance and fear. Tamara faced the panel with a mix of stern and neutral expressions as they prepared to deliver their verdict. She took a deep breath, ready to confront the traitor who had jeopardized everything they'd worked for.

Judge 1: (adjusting his glasses) Selena, you stand accused of treason against what we stand for, peaceful coexistence of our kind and humans and thereby giving out vital information to someone who is seen as a threat to our new way of life. The evidence presented has shown your betrayal. How do you plead?

Selena: (sneering) If it means I can be free again, I plead guilty. Do you think you can hold me here? I was never one of you!

Judge 2: (frowning) You may not see it, but you have the opportunity to choose a different path. The consequences of your actions are severe. Tamara: (stepping forward) You had a chance to be a part of something greater, to help bridge the gap between our kind and humans. Instead, you choose to align yourself with someone who only wants to see us destroyed. Selena rolled her eyes, her bravado flickering.

Judge 3: Asked Tamara, "Do you wish to add anything before we proceed with the judgment?"

"Tamara: "Yes. I trusted you, Selena. You were given a role that could have changed lives for the better. But you threw it all away for what? A fleeting sense of belonging? The judges exchanged glances, then turned back to Selena.

Judge 1: We have reached our decision. For your betrayal and the threat you posed to our community, we hereby sentence you to death. Tomorrow at dawn, you will be stripped of all protection and exposed to the sunlight until you are reduced to ash. Selena's expression hardened as she processed the verdict. Tamara felt a pang of sadness but steeled herself against it. Selena, (laughing bitterly) You think this will stop; you think with all this everything will stop? Laughing out loud in a wicked and sorrowful manner. Deborah will take revenge on me. Tamara stepped closer, her voice low and firm. Tamara: I gave you a means of livelihood to make you more responsible and useful to your society rather than being the bloody, sucky monster Deborah wants you to be. And how do you repay me? Betrayal?  Selena's bravery faltered for a moment as Tamara's words sank in, revealing a flicker of regret. Selena: "I was scared, Tamara. Deborah made promises I thought were real. Tamara, you chose fear over loyalty, and now you will face the consequences. You had a chance to help us all, but you decided to serve the very darkness we fight against.

Judge 2: (interrupting) Enough. Take her away. As the guards led Selena out, Tamara felt a sense of loss mixed with the heavy burden of leadership. She knew she had to be strong for her people, but the weight of betrayal was not something she would easily forget. Tamara (whispering to herself) I won't let your betrayal tear us apart, Selena. Not now, not ever. With that, she turned back to the panel, ready to discuss the next steps in ensuring the safety of their community.
