Earlier, upon noticing Kate deeply absorbed in her phone, chatting intently with someone unknown, Ivy felt a twinge of jealousy. But now, all her ill feelings had dissipated.
"Why didn't I see any notification when you logged in? Last time, I spotted it immediately—" Ivy quickly clasped her hands over her mouth. Oh no, she had let something slip.
Kate chose not to pursue the topic further and simply said, "It's late. Let's sleep."
Ivy glanced at the time—it wasn't even ten o'clock.
Ever since she started rooming with Kate, Ivy's internal clock had nearly reset to her childhood schedule; she seldom stayed up late now. After a week of such a healthy lifestyle, she found herself brimming with energy each day.
"Do you keep such early hours even when you're at home?" Ivy couldn't help but ask.
Kate replied, "Not when I have night shoots."
So, apart from work, her routine was as disciplined as that of someone much older.
