Chapter 6: Snake Girl Appears!

Layla Nessro, when she opened her eyes again, was in the mansion where she grew up and lived her entire life. He noticed that they appeared in the garden, and his father and stepmother were waiting for them.

Layla saw her father's crying eyes red and knew that he had cried because of his sudden disappearance.

Joski Nessro was relieved to see a white circle appear in the garden. This means that the contracted demon hunter had managed to bring back his only daughter and heir.

Joski saw Layla's careless form and felt a strong chill as he thought that this gentleman had done something wicked with his little daughter. Worried, he immediately approached without first thanking the demon hunter.

Joski spoke—Daughter! My daughter! I'm glad you're well; sorry for not paying enough attention, and that's why you got lost; Tell me if that disgusting animal of a gentleman did anything to you or harmed you in any way. Tell me, don't be ashamed; "Your father will take revenge," he said, drunk with rage and madness as he imagined the worst scenarios.

Layla heard the unbridled rage in her father's words and felt relief knowing that he loves her very much and turned to see her stepmother, but she saw her very angry, not because of the knight, but rather because he is still alive.

Layla spoke—Dad! I'm fine! "I'm not hurt, apart from this blow on the forehead," she said with a kind voice, hugging her worried father, who took her in his arms.

Joski asked, "What blow?" —he said with great curiosity when he saw that she didn't have any and just looked careless and barefoot.

Layla responded: "I have a bump on my forehead; look," she said calmly, touching the place where she had a bump before, but now there is nothing.

Layla was surprised when she didn't feel anything. I imagined that Kijiro had cured her to make her look bad again.

Joski asked. —How did you manage to get out of that guy?—he said urgently.

Layla replied:—That trash tried to take me and hit me, making me fall asleep, but Kijiro rescued me and killed the trash and didn't want a reward. Although he is poor and without parents, I was hugged by him as a reward, and he also praised my eyes... He said with feigned anger, and his face blushed as he remembered Kijiro smiling at him and telling him that he has beautiful, unique eyes.

Joski heard his daughter Layla's response and was grateful to that man named Kijiro, who rescued his daughter and caught his attention...

Joski spoke—Great, there are good people in this rotten world, and tell me, daughter... Where does that man live?—he said curiously.

Layla heard him call Kijiro sir and smiled with amusement as she imagined Kijiro's tender face with those pretty black eyes...

Layla spoke—He's not a gentleman, dad! "Ha, ha, ha, he's a six-year-old boy, and he rescues me," he said with amusement in his voice.

Joski was very surprised to hear that a six-year-old child had managed to defeat even the adult personal knight to death, something very unlikely, but now that his daughter said this, he had no doubts.

The demon hunter spoke: —That boy Kijiro that you mentioned and saved you is a spawn of a lesser demon, and although he looks like a human child, he is not really one. I felt black magic all over his body, but since I didn't see him with bad intentions and he even helped you, I didn't intervene to kill him, but it is my duty to kill evil demons," he said with the same icy voice and standing out to everyone.

Layla heard that this guy wanted to hurt her hero and spoke—no! You're not going to hurt him! —he said with his voice raised and looking at the hunter threateningly.

Joski was surprised to see his daughter's reaction to a commoner boy. He understands that his daughter did not have friends because he sees them as obstacles and he does not need them, and now he is worried about the attachment he has with a demon child, who are dangerous creatures...

Joski spoke—Layla! Calm down and don't see the demon hunter like that. Remember that I rescue you, and if it says it's bad, it is. "I don't want you to think about that Kijiro again," she said with a serious and firm voice as she saw her daughter's wide eyes of horror.

Layla got out of her father's embrace and ran to the mansion to go into her room and not talk anymore.

Joski watched his daughter run towards the mansion and knew she was angry. It was normal to be upset by having to reject her and find out more about her savior.

Joski spoke. —Is that child really a demon?—he asked with a curious and hopeful voice.

Demon Hunter answers, "I'm not very clear about that; he has dark magic like that of a minor demon, but the thing is that he has a vital aura of an uncorrupted human," he said with suspicion in his icy voice.

Joski's eyes widened when he learned this important information about a possible human-demon spawn that makes him a halfbreed, but this is not yet certain.

Joski observed how quiet the demon hunter is and watched as he left with a white portal to disappear without a word.

Sighing at the sudden disappearance of the demon hunter, he saw his wife and stepmother of his daughter. Now they both advanced to the mansion, but she was acting strange.

Joski asked, —What do you think of that mixed-race child, Devora? he said with curiosity and calm.

Dévora heard the question and answered, —What mestizo? "I didn't hear anything; I just saw you two look into each other's eyes without saying anything until the demon hunter disappeared," he said with suspicion in his voice.

Joski didn't say anything and knew that there was magic involved so that his wife wouldn't hear the information said by both of them.

Joski went to his daughter's room and heard her crying loudly. I wanted to go in and tell her that everything will be fine, but it's better that she help herself and not give her false hope with that child that she will never see again in her life.

Author's Note: If you saw the future, you would swallow those words. End, author's note.

Kijiro had reached the door of the orphanage empty-handed and was about to enter, but he saw the door open and a six-year-old girl came out with her eyes downcast, a black sweatshirt that covered all parts of her body, and long gray hair sticking out of the hood.

Kijiro stopped at the door and moved to the side to let the strange girl pass, but thinking better of things, he faced her head on, blocking the girl's way.

Kijiro asked, "Where are you going?" Don't you know that it is dangerous for a pretty girl to be alone on the street?—she said with calm in her voice and some warmth, to try to get a positive response from the strange girl.

The girl had both hands on the sleeve of her sweatshirt, and when she brought them out into view, she pulled out two three-inch rabbits that Kijiro had left behind with the winged snake. Kijiro held the two strange rabbits, and when he turned to see the girl's face, he opened his eyes as wide as possible to freeze when he saw yellow eyes with slit pupils just like a snake and also those fangs with the snake's tongue protruding between them. teeth or fangs...

Kijiro froze in fear as he saw the snake girl looking at him with amusement and arrogance. Shortly after, the girl walked past the frozen boy to lick his right cheek and then left.

Kijiro reacted after the girl was gone and then fell to the ground on his knees, gasping for air. He did not release the strange rabbits.

Kijiro gasped and spoke, "Huha!" Huha! It can't be; that girl is the giant snake I found in the forest... The children! It just can't be! —he said with urgency and stopped suddenly to run into the orphanage and see the little children he hopes are okay.
