The maid was silenced by my answer, and I, now clothed in an intact getup again, walked outside, and took my bag from her feet, putting it over my arm, I opened the window and threw the flowers out together with the vase.
Hearing the glass crash, I felt better.
"Do what you want. I don't care anymore." Crawling under my bed, I took my cat and stuffed her in my bag, before going to the drawer and packing my treasures. I left the cutlery and plates behind, as they weren't appropriate to take with me on the school trip.
Having everything I needed, I let the maid stand there and walked down the corridor. She soon ran after me,
"What are you doing? Are you running away?" She had to jog beside me because I was walking so fast.
"What is it to you?" I think she wanted to get another bribe out of me, but no way; this was either my flee fund or money for a private detective.
When I walked the steps down, she halted, and amidst a few other maids looking at me strangely, I put on the comfortable shoes I came here with and walked out. Not taking the car, I directly made my way through the garden and climbed over the wall, which wasn't hard because of some plants that grew all over it.
I didn't want to take the driver, the man who was behind a partition yesterday while I got harassed. Take it as me throwing a tantrum.
On the other side of the wall were some other gardens of villas, and luckily, there was no one, or I would have gotten myself arrested. After climbing through various other gardens and feeling like a criminal, I felt safe enough with the distance I left behind and turned to the street. Seeing the address that was displayed on a house, I called the direction information service and let them connect me with a local taxi company, telling them where to get me.
Now I could finally check if Derek had texted me, and he had indeed, reminding me of the time and place, which wasn't that difficult to remember, but he seemed to want to make sure I didn't forget; the school trip would then have to be canceled with a guardian missing. I still had more than enough time before the bus would start.
Somehow, this upcoming trip felt like an adventure, and I felt relieved to leave the Lennister men behind me, although Jude hadn't done anything wrong, aside from poking me with his morning erection, which was cringy enough on its own.
The taxi soon arrived, and I let it take me to school directly. I am still hungry, but not hungry enough to halt somewhere to eat and risk a hurricane or earthquake taking place—anything that could hold me back from taking that bus out of here.
When I arrived, there was still an hour left before we would take off, but it seemed all the students were already here.
Derek waved at me when he saw me coming forward. I haven't combed my hair, just bound it together in the taxi, not brushed my teeth, not even washed my face. Luckily, I hadn't put makeup on in forever, so it wasn't that much of a difference from my usual look.
Still, I can't wait for the moment we arrive at the hotel so that I could take a long, hot shower.
"You are here early; so were the students; we are ready to leave ahead of time." Derek smiled lightly, motioning for the students standing around to board the bus.
It were really only ten students, most of them nerds, although, I spotted Adam among them. Ha. Narrowing my eyes at him, I saw him flinching. The injuries on his face were only slightly visible, and I somehow have the impression that he had put on concealer to hide them.
Perfect; even a punching bag to let my anger out on was delivered readily.
Hearing a snort, I saw Amanda had been here as well. She high-and-mighty bypassed me and entered the bus under Derek's eyes, who looked at me puzzled, somehow deciding against a lengthy introduction of myself after seeing I already knew one or two of the students.
I hadn't thought that she would come as well; maybe because she was the Principal's granddaughter, and she had gotten stuffed in the math club from the start?
The rest of the students I had never seen before—oh, that was false. The mobbing incident victim was here as well.
Boarding the bus as the second-to-last person before Derek, I saw the students scattered on the far too many seats, with a good distance between each other.
I chose the seat directly behind Adam and put my legs up, with my knees against his backrest. I would destroy him psychologically by sitting behind him and physically by poking his back.
I was adamant about making him cry, strong enough for the concealer to be washed away.

Thomas POV
As you know, my parents were never really at home, always on business or traveling trips. When you moved into the neighboring villa, they were content to leave me with older but also distinguished children that would look after me instead of the usual maids and employees.
Nobody could have imagined that there would be monsters hidden beneath your two angelic facades.
Even so, I could still remember that in one of my earliest childhood memories, my father had angered my mother because of some nothingness and that he sent her red roses to apologize.
I did the same with my wife.
The whole day I thought of the roses, and I thought of the similar red flower I left on her neck, wanting to see it bloom in the evening.
But I again fell into old habits, scaring her after she contradicted me, after she had forsaken my gift, covering it up as if it were a disgrace.
It is no longer important; I will introduce her to any and every person, make her aware that she is and will ever be my wife, that she will forever remain in that role.
