The next morning, Jay couldn't wait to see Erin. He had been thinking about him all night, worried about him, and longing to see his smile. He arrived at school early, hoping to catch Erin before the bell rang.
He found Erin standing by his locker, looking nervous and a little lost. He was surrounded by a group of students, but none of them seemed to be talking to him. Jay felt a pang of sympathy for Erin. He knew how lonely and isolated he must feel.
Jay walked over to Erin, his heart pounding in his chest. He wasn't sure what to say, but he knew he had to do something.
"Hey, Erin," Jay said, trying to sound casual. "Ready for class?"
Erin looked up at him, his eyes widening in surprise. "Oh, hey Jay," he said. "Yeah, I guess so."
Jay noticed that Erin's hand was trembling slightly. He knew that Erin was still scared, and he wanted to do anything he could to comfort him.
"Do you want to walk to class together?" Jay asked, hoping that Erin would say yes.
Erin nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, that would be nice," he said.
As they walked to class, Jay kept a close eye on Erin, making sure he was safe. He noticed that Erin was still looking around nervously, but he seemed to be a little more relaxed now that Jay was with him.
When they reached their classroom, Jay noticed that all the seats were taken except for one, right next to a girl with bright pink hair and a nose ring. Jay knew that Erin wouldn't want to sit next to her.
"Hey, Erin," Jay said, his voice soft and gentle. "Do you want to sit next to me?"
Erin looked at him, his eyes filled with gratitude. "I... I don't want to bother you," he said.
"It's not a bother," Jay said, his voice firm. "I want you to sit next to me. I want to be near you."
Erin nodded, a shy smile spreading across his face. He walked over to Jay's desk and sat down, feeling a surge of warmth and comfort. He was so grateful to have Jay by his side.
