In a bustling city filled with busy people, a man was standing on the side of a street. He was waiting for the light to turn green so he could walk across the road.
'It's quite cold this time of year' he thought.
As he felt the breeze hit the back of his neck, all he could think about was the weather. When the light finally turned green, indicating he could walk across the street, he moved swiftly along with all the other pedestrians. It was then that it happened. A car sped across into the intersection and caused a collision.
Two cars had managed to stop all traffic, luckily they did not hit any pedestrians. However, that was when things became hectic. The door of one of the cars from the accident opened, and a man in a suit stepped out. He was fuming, and his face was red with anger. He yelled at the other car.
"Are you an idiot, look at where you're driving!"
The next second, the door from the other car opened, and to everyone's shock, the man jumped out with a gun in his hands. In an instant, he shot 5 shots and screamed "Shut the hell up! It's all your fault".
The bullets flew across the road, and some even flew to the pedestrians crossing the road.

Darkness.
In an empty space where neither light nor sound was present, there was a transparent body floating. The man opened his eyes.
'Huh, where am I?'
He couldn't feel anything, see anything, hear anything, do anything.
'What the hell is happening to me!' It took a few minutes of the man freaking out when he finally realized he had probably died.
'The last thing I remember is walking across the street when some cars crashed and some idiot pulled out a gun.'
'Damn it, who the hell shoots with such bad aim, and all for a car crash? Really?'
He couldn't believe how someone could just throw away their life like that, there was no doubt the shooter would end up in jail for the rest of his life. All because of a car crash in which no one ended up seriously injured.
'Whatever, too late to regret other people's life choices anyway. But what am I supposed to do now?'
The man although unhappy with his premature death, realized that he had to figure out his current situation.
'Let's get some things straight, I can't move nor feel anything, so it's likely that I don't have a physical body. I can't breathe or blink, so that supports that theory. The only thing I am able to do is have conscious thought.' He tried staring into the darkness to hopefully see something, but it was all for naught.
Just like this, time passed.
'It has been quite a while now, and although I can't do much, I have tried counting seconds to gauge how much time has passed. My best guess would be about 4 days. The most intriguing part about all this time is that I haven't felt the need to fall asleep, meaning that I have maintained consciousness all this time.'
'But if this is truly death, then I am screwed. In my opinion, the worst fate a human can experience is eternal solitude. Unless this darkness has an end, then I don't think I will ever escape it.' As he lay there for days on end, he lost all hope of heaven, hell, or even god to save him. He had tried everything from praying to using willpower to move.
Time passed as the man lay still, eventually something changed. A ray of light had appeared in the world of darkness and the man finally saw hope.
'Approximately 236 years of darkness, yet today there is light.' Along with the light, he heard a heartbeat and muffled sounds of different people.
'A heartbeat? But I'm supposed to be dead...wait, it isn't coming from me.'
He eventually felt himself lose consciousness. When his eyes opened again, it was the same, just a small light in the darkness, and the beat of a heart.
'I think I know what is happening now, I must be a baby, inside my mother's belly. And that heartbeat must be hers.' After thinking so, he fell asleep once again. This happened quite a bit, his consciousness would keep fading, but each time he woke up he would concentrate on all his senses hoping to gain a better understanding. He could no longer keep track of the time because of his periodic consciousness.
Eventually, he felt himself move towards the light, and the heartbeat louder than normal, and knew that he was about to be born.

In a hospital in Konoha, the sounds of a baby crying echoed through the halls. The baby was held by his mother, and surrounded by the hospital staff who were checking his condition.
'Damn it! Everything hurts! Aghh!'
Just after being born, the change from complete darkness to all these bright lights, new sounds, and feelings caused a lot of discomfort.
The woman who had just given birth looked fondly at the boy.
"Your name shall be Koji. Koji Uchiha."
'What language are they speaking in? It seems familiar, but at the same time not something I can recognize.' Koji thought while looking at the woman holding him. 'In any case, what's more important is that I am finally out of that endless darkness.'
'Though I don't understand why I have been reborn with the consciousness of my past life, I won't waste it.'
Looking around him he saw many people, and they seemed to be conversing with his mother, and consulting her about her new responsibilities and the health of her son. He tried his best to look around the room to get an understanding of his new life.
'Seems like I have been born in some rural area, doesn't look too modern and advanced, but until I leave the hospital, I won't really be able to know where I was born, hopefully not a third world country.'
Koji knew nothing of this new world, but before he could continue his thoughts, a wave of exhaustion struck him like a truck.
'Seems like babies do sleep all the time.'
He soon fell asleep without ever realizing the world he had been born into.
