Chapter 3 - Part time jobs(read the lunchbox chapter first)

*School is over and Jaxon is going to the convenience store*

Jaxon(in his mind): I guess the omelet rice was too plain for people who enjoy delicious handmade food every day. To think that her whole face would turn red with anger as she left immediately after taking a bite from the spoon. She didn't even saw approached me or looked at me throughout the class.

Jaxon: I guess she hates me now.

Jaxon went to the convenience store and did his part time job as usual. When he finished his job he returned to his house. To his surprise the house is not the same as before at all. There wasn't a single speck of dust visible at the passageway.

Jaxon: ...….. I didn't come to the wrong house by accident, did I?

He went outside and inside at least twice before entering his house. He directly went to the hall that is attached to the kitchen. His "mother" is sleeping soundly on the sofa.

Jaxon(in his mind): To think that she would clean the whole house to the point that she fell asleep due to exhaustion.

Jaxon stares at his mother

Jaxon: Why would you do this for a stranger without gaining something in return?

"Mother" slowly starts waking up

Mom: Your back

Jaxon: Ah! Sorry Did I wake you ?

Mom: Of course not, I have been waiting for you actually.

Jaxon: Something wrong?

Mom: Nothing's wrong, Are you hungry?

Jaxon: I ate some Noodles outside.

Mom: I see.... Is it alright if I ask you some questions?

Jaxon: As long as it's nothing too personal, yes you can.

Jaxon sits on the sofa beside her.

Mom: I know for a fact that school doesn't end this late so what have you been doing up till now to make you arrive this late at home.

Jaxon: Well, I need to do part time jobs in order to cover up my daily expenses since no one is financially supporting me right now.

Mom: Is that the only reason?

Jaxon: Yeah

Mom(with a bright smile): Then you don't have to worry about that from now on.
