It seemed as though time flew by, it had already been three weeks and her nightmare made healing a pain in the neck for Scarlett. Nicole was worried about Scarlett, after the last time she woke up, she hadn't moved a muscle. Scarlett's nightmare repeated itself over and over again; the wound had healed a little and she'd finally opened her eyes again. Scarlett's entire body felt numb she had been sleeping for three weeks straight, she moved unconsciously on the bed and her wound stretched causing her immense pain.

Scar lay dead on the ground in a pool of cold blood. Her eyes opened and she heaved a weak sigh, she turned to lie face front on the floor, her wounds were slowly healing but she was angry, she didn't know where the bastard that had just murdered her family was and she couldn't find their bodies either, she was barely holding onto her anger when a man appeared in front of her, all she could see was red and her vision blackened at the most likely innocent man who stood in front of her, it wasn't her family's murderer but her mind and body weren't in her control any longer, she was overwhelmed by anger and the need for revenge, all she could see was herself torturing the man who dared to end the life of her family.
She attacked him, he was hidden by a black mist though but surprisingly her attacks penetrated the mist but she couldn't see him, his face was completely hidden but she kept seeing the murderer's face in her vision, the scene where he beheaded Nicole and Zev kept replaying in her mind so much that her rationality was slowly crumbling, she wanted to make him beg for death.
Scar screamed and yelled in anger and frustration and attacked the man even with her wounds. He let her attack him enduring all the pain she inflicted on him but dodged all the fatal blows she tried to attack him with. He called out something that sounded familiar yet strange severally, trying to calm her down but it wasn't working but then all of a sudden, she just snapped out of it and in her front was everyone the dempire had killed, there was a shocked expression written on her face.

Scarlett sat up abruptly, the shock was evident on her face but she didn't know what shocked her. She was exhausted; she stumbled to get her on her feet and staggered toward her dressing mirror like she was drunk. She raised her shirt up when she stood in front of the mirror, the wound was finally healed she finally felt relieved. She stretched and smiled when she didn't feel any pain. The scar was gone as well, no proof that she had actually been injured three weeks ago but compared to her strength, she was completely drained. 'I need to hunt' she thought as her eyes turned scarlet and her face cracked.
Scarlett left her room dressed in a black jacket that covered a black shirt inside, a pair of black jeans and black boots. As she walked into the living room, her control slightly wavering as she observed their faces for a while, everyone stared at her in disbelief. Her eyes lingered on Debbie for a while; she could hear Debbie's heart hammering in her chest so loudly in fear.
Scarlett had almost died because of her and Debbie was beyond relieved that she had survived. She looked like she was holding back tears that threatened to fall from her eyes. Scarlett couldn't blame her, she would also feel this way but she got herself into this when she decided to suck in Black's bane, she smiled softly at her but that was a bad move, her fangs forcefully made their way out of her gums.
She didn't want to leave yet, she wanted to talk to Debbie and make her understand it wasn't her fault, but a conversation would undeniably turn into a bloodbath if she stayed any longer, her self control was on its last wits and she didn't want to tempt herself with anyone, she at least wanted to try but as she took a step forward, her claws pierced through her fisted hands. She shouldn't do this, but she could already smell the scent of tears and she knew it was coming from Debbie. She turned to Nicole and forced out a smile even though her fangs made that hard to do. 'Take care of her Nicole' she told Nicole and walked out the door as her throat began to itch and her eyes turned a dark shade of scarlet and veins became visible on her face.
"Scarlett?"
"Don't stop her!"
"Her eyes…"
"She's gone to hunt,"
"She only came here because she wanted us to know she was leaving,"
"She'll be fine Debbie, Scarlett's going to be fine," Nicole said. 'I hope'

Somewhere in a dark and dense forest, Scarlett sat still in front of a lake, her eyes shone scarlet, her fangs and nails were out. Under the moonlit sky was a scene of dempire covered in animal blood, several animals lay dead around her, all drained of blood. Scarlett observed the animals she had killed, there were seven of them. She wasn't sated; she needed more blood…human blood. Scarlett spent a lot of time in the forest killing and drinking animal blood. Her clothes and nails were covered with mud, animal flesh and blood. She was like those ancient cavewomen who were ruthless and used their cubs to smash their prey.

"Does Scarlett usually spend two days hunting?" Debbie asked.
"No…she doesn't," Nicole replied. "I'm sure she's fine,"
"Come on Nicole, we have plans," Michael said. Chris and Xander had already gone to train leaving Debbie.
"Can I come?" Debbie asked weakly.
"…can't you go train with Xander and Chris?" Michael said.
"Please Michael; I've been training with Nicole,"
"Fine…you can come," Michael hesitantly agreed.

At the outskirts of a remote village stood a mansion, the exterior design was elegant, radiating with magnificence and majesty.
"You promised you'd take care of her, you've been here ever since her accident, you don't care," the voice of a young man echoed in the room. A young woman sat next to him, her hands were wrapped around the man's arm and her eyes were red from crying.
"She sucked it in Nicholas…Black's bane; she sucked it in for goodness sake!" Ramona cried.
"She decided to do that on her own and I really don't see why you're overreacting about that, she's alive isn't she?" the old man said.
"What kind of a grandfather are you? She died and you were there, you promised would protect my daughter but you let her die in your presence," Ramona said.
"Ramona you of all people should know Scarlett didn't die,"
"Listen dad, whether we know Scarlett didn't die doesn't change anything, you promised you would protect her but you're obviously using your tactics on her from when she was a child,"
"Nathan I raised you didn't I? Look at the fine man you grew to be, let me take care of my granddaughter the way I want to, if she doesn't want to learn, then I won't force her but if she does I'll teach her and none of you will do anything about it,"
"How could you say something like that? You know what'll happen to her, she's not ready for that…"
"When will she be ready Ramona? Scarlett needs to learn and understand the power within her, she needs to learn how to harness that dark power, we can't be ignorant about it forever, one day, those very powers you're trying to protect her from will be the cause of her destruction if we don't teach her now,"
"Dad please, you're making this decision too fast and irrationally, let's think this through, she may have that power, but she's too weak, she's a hybrid remember, she's part human…"
"She has the blood of a royal dempire running in her veins, she's not just a hybrid Nathan, she's my granddaughter, your daughter and the princess of Devaria, she needs to know what she's capable of doing,"
"This isn't the way to do that…"
"Nathan Quinn I will not let anyone teach me how to raise my granddaughter, I will not allow her be a weakling when she has great dark power within her, do you hear me!"
"Nicholas please, you're being too hard on her, she isn't Zev,"
"Being too hard on her? You saw her fight those rogues, she's a dempire princess for goodness sake dempires aren't weak whether male or female. Why would the princess of the race be weak when she has raw power at her disposal? She is strong,"
"Strength doesn't mean killing her dad, please you already trained her brutally when she was a child and we didn't say anything about it, we let you do what you wanted, she's suffered enough dad,"
"Ramona you have been watching your daughter since she arrived in Devaria, you saw her training, you saw what she did to those punching bags, you saw how she attacked me without restraint she punched me and I bled, when was the last time that happened? She had poison in her yet she came down ready to push herself," Nicholas said, the disappointment was clear in his voice.
"She attacked you without restraint because you didn't hold back on her either Nathan; she's just eighteen, please…"
"I did hold back Ramona, if I had attacked Scarlett with everything in me, she would spend two months or more recovering…Nathan I will not have this conservation with you or your wife ever again, Scarlett is the rightful dempire princess of Devaria, I will not have anyone treat her like a mere human princess because she is not, whether hybrid or not," Nicholas stood. He was tired of arguing with his son and daughter-in-law on how to train Scarlett when Zevan's training was way worse.
His wife used more brutal force than him and it was possible Zev wouldn't have survived his wife's training when he was younger but surprisingly he did survive. Regina was hard when it came to training and since Zev was the crown prince, she didn't spare him.
Hybrids were strong creatures, stronger than even the full blood ones and even stronger if they had royal blood running through their veins and his grandchildren were both, right from when they were young; they had shown such raw power and brutal strength. These hybrids didn't just have strength but abilities that full bloods didn't and they could stay off years without drinking blood thanks to their human side.
