Chapter 53: "Exiled flame"
The arena fell into a heavy silence as the dust settled, the absence of Erevan's body and the ominous voice leaving everyone uneasy. The Bijins, Akane, Hikari, and Emiri, rushed to Thrain's side, their concern evident.
"Hey, are you okay?" Akane asked, kneeling beside him.
"We saw the black lightning graze you," Emiri added, her tone a mix of fear and urgency.
Despite their worries, Thrain didn't appear weakened. He stood up, his expression hardened, his body radiating residual heat from the battle. Before he could speak, Takamori stepped forward, his voice cutting through the tense air.
"The commentator has announced Thrain as the winner, but that is incorrect," Takamori declared, his tone authoritative. "The winner is Kierian. Thrain broke the rules by using special flames. Furthermore, he seems to have angered something far beyond us, as evidenced by the voice we all heard."
