Chapter 28 - the truth

I took a day off from college to meet Miss Madhu. Harsh was busy with photo shoots out of town, but promised to meet me later. I asked if I would met Miss Madhu first, and she said yes and we decided to meet at a Cafe Coffee Day near college at 12 pm.

I know why you make Salina date me. Come up clean and meet me at the cafe coffee day cafe near at college. I will text you time so don't worry about that. And send

I sent a message through WhatsApp to Tanvi. She is a best friend of Salina. If I were to describe her I would say she was a vision of youthful beauty, with a radiant glow that seemed to emanate from within.

At 12 pm, I stood outside the cafe, gazing at the distinctive yellow and red Cafe Coffee Day logo. As I pushed open the glass door, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloped me, lifting my spirits. The soft hum of conversation and gentle clinking of cups created a cozy ambiance.

Inside, the cafe bustled with activity. Groups of guys chatted animatedly, their eyes drawn to the stunning girls scattered around the cafe. Solo patrons, like me, sat with their laptops or books, enjoying the quiet comfort. As I waited in line to order, my eyes wandered to the menu board, boasting an impressive array of coffee drinks, teas, and snacks.

After ordering my tea and coffee, I settled into a cozy corner table. The eclectic mix of decor added to the cafe's charm, with vintage coffee grinders and antique tea sets alongside modern sculptures and abstract art pieces.

I pondered how to explain the situation to Miss Madhu. Suddenly, she appeared behind me, gently tapping my shoulder before sitting beside me. Her long, dark brown hair was styled in a sleek, polished bob that framed her heart-shaped face. Her elegant saree and poised demeanor commanded attention.

"Hey Rahul!" she said. "So, what's up? You've had a change of heart about your decision?" she asked, her curious eyes were sparkling.

"No, it's about something else," I replied. "Give me a moment." I slid down my glasses, glanced around, and put them back on. I typed a message on my phone: "Let's meet now" and sent it.

"How's Harsh and your children?" I asked Miss Madhu.

"Everyone's fine and doing great," she replied. "How about you?"

As we chatted, Miss Madhu's warm and authoritative voice put me at ease. Her expressive brown eyes sparkled with curiosity. When the waiter arrived with our drinks, I removed my glasses and looked around again.

Miss Madhu's expression turned serious. "Tell me the real reason you're here. You're not asking about my family's health, are you?" Her keen eyes locked onto mine.

I began explaining the situation, showing her the file I downloaded earlier. Her eyes widened as she listened. "It's for real?" she asked. "If it's true, I need more evidence to prove the crime."
