Chapter 22 - paint together

Your style? Shruti sign with a confused look on face.

Yeah my style, which is fast and easy to move with. I sign

Okay

We are going to use oil or acrylic paint. So let's start with preparing colors for the art work. I will be back in a few minutes. I sign and leave the art room.

I was in the corridor finding something to bring water to the art room. In the end I can't find anything. I decided to bring as much water by bottles as possible. As I move towards the art room with bottles in my hand I see Shruti already completed the colors preparations.

I take a Bristol board white sheet to color and hand over to Shruti to set on the wooden dashboard.

Meanwhile I was looking for a palette painting knife on the shelves of the art room. It was around the right corner of the shelves. I take them and go towards the Shruti.

Are you ready? I sign

She nodded and sign yes I'm ready.

I start to explain to her by sign language how we are going to paint.

To begin, we will scoop up a mixture of blue and purple paint on my palette knife and then apply the paint to the canvas in soft, sweeping strokes, using the knife's edge to create textured, impasto marks that evoke the movement of the stars in the night sky.

Next, mix a slightly lighter shade of blue and use the palette knife to block in the bookshelves. Apply the paint in thick, rectangular strokes, using the knife's edge to create sharp, defined edges. To create a sense of depth, make sure the bookshelves are slightly curved, using gentle, sweeping motions with the knife.

With the bookshelves in place, turn your attention to the books. Mix a range of warm, metallic hues – gold, silver, and copper – and use the palette knife to apply thick, textured strokes to the canvas. Always remember to use the knife's edge to create intricate, detailed patterns on the book covers, adding a sense of depth and visual interest.

Finally, add some magical details to the painting, using the palette knife to apply thick, textured strokes of paint. Add sparkling stars, glowing candles, and a few fireflies flitting about the bookshelves, using the knife's edge to create sharp, defined edges and a sense of movement and energy.

I explained her plan to her for palette painting.

Do you get it? I sign

I get it but please can you please send me a detailed message about it. I don't remember everything what you said now.

Oh! Sorry I said and type a message and send to her.

Shruti start painting and for me it's a time for some sleep because I was busy out last night.

My name is Mayuri. I was an art teacher at Art College for rich kids. I have known as the genius or prodigy at one time in my life but it was all in the past now there is someone who is more talented than me but don't want to use it or maybe he is hiding it. To make sure I helped a first year student after finding out that her art work was ruined by someone. There was some consequence related to this but I don't take a back from helping my students to overcome their burden and archive their dreams. I don't want to suffer anyone like me, so that's why I became a teacher.

I completed my light work in staffroom arrange the art work submitted to me in locker and go towards the art room. I see the first year student Shruti was palette painting on white sheet with oil paints and she was already made some progress with it like painting a night sky. Did they choose to create a while new artwork instead of salvage her previous one? But why? We don't have much time for this. I want to ask Shruti what she was thinking when she chooses to restart the whole thing again but I don't want to disturb her focus. I have someone I can ask. I looked around for him and found him in the back of shelves sleeping on the bed of joined chairs. I get closer to him and kicked on his ass.

Wake up! I said.

As he fell on ground he wakes up saying

Earthquake? It's an earthquake! Let's get out ... Oh teacher it's you! Why don't you try waking up by kissing my chicks?

You! I said and grabbed his ear.

Ow ow ow I'm sorry I'm sorry teachers please leave my ear.

I left his ear and pulled a chair towards me and take a seat. Folding my hand I asked him what was going on he explained everything to me.

How are you going to manage the time? Do you know it's already noon.

What matters the most in competition teacher? Winning the first price or trying your best for yourself? He said sitting neatly on ground.

Absolutely winning the price. What's the logic behind the competition when there no compepeter. It's like cake without sugar don't you think. I said. Looking at him

Stop reading my mind teacher. You have the answer for that how we can manage the time don't you? He asked me while yawning.

I know but I don't know the sign language.

Oh! Then learn ... Before he completes the sentence I show him my fist.

I will explain to her teacher! Me Rahul your student will explain to her. He gets up.

Stop! Let's paint and then explain it to her I said.

But why? I can explain to her in a simple way. Rahul said with an annoyed face.

Because I want to. I said with a smug look on my face.

Go Get refreshed I will prepare the things needed for painting. Rahul gets up and goes towards the exit and I start to prepare for painting. As I am preparing I remember my college days when I was a Student. It was only my happy memories that I'm living with.

I finished preparing thinking about old memories Rahul get back and we start painting with our hands.

We can use our hands as we want but it needs more practice with creativity to use hands in a way that no one can think.

We were painting alongside Shruti and noticed me and Rahul painting with hands and how we use our fingers to paint. Rahul shows new ways to use hands to how to cover big parts and I showed how to use fingers for small details. Shruti absorbed and keep eyes on us.

Rahul sign to Shruti something and she put down the knifes and start painting with hands. Whenever she stops at something I or Rahul help her how to move forward. As I looked at Rahul explaining steps to Shruti I noticed he was in deep thought.

Rahul! Rahul what's wrong with you? I called him.

Huh! Oh nothing he said breaking from these thoughts.

We continue painting after that.
