Chapter 1 - chapter1 : The curse cast

Under the glow of a blood-red moon, the forest was alive with the howls of the Nightfang pack, led by their formidable alpha, Aiden. Towering over his packmates, his sleek silver fur shimmered like a ghost beneath the moonlight, and his amber eyes gleamed with the confidence of a ruler who had never known defeat. Aiden had earned his position through strength and cunning, ruling over the wildlands with fear and respect. But tonight, the air was heavy with something more than the usual tension of the hunt—something darker.

The old witch had been a thorn in Aiden's side for years. She lived deep in the forbidden woods, her presence an insult to the werewolf's claim to the land. His pack avoided her lair, whispering about her powers, but Aiden wasn't one to be intimidated. Power belonged to those strong enough to take it, and tonight, he would rid his territory of her once and for all.

With his pack trailing behind him, Aiden stormed into the witch's domain, his eyes gleaming with fury. The forest twisted unnaturally here, as though nature itself bent to her will. A thick fog hung in the air, and the trees seemed to whisper ancient secrets.

"Enough games, witch!" Aiden growled, his voice deep and menacing. "Come out and face me. You've trespassed long enough!"

From the shadows, a figure emerged—an old woman, her back bent and gnarled like the trees around her. Her eyes, however, were bright and sharp, filled with the wisdom of centuries. She chuckled, a sound like dry leaves crackling underfoot.

"Aiden , Alpha of the Nightfangs," she said, her voice dripping with mockery. "So mighty, so proud. Yet you stand here in my domain, thinking you can command me as you do your pack?"

Aiden snarled, stepping closer. "Your magic doesn't scare me, old woman. This land belongs to me and my kind. You've overstayed your welcome."

The witch's grin widened, showing yellowed teeth. "Arrogant as ever, wolf. You think strength is everything. But there are forces in this world far greater than brute power. You will learn that soon enough."

Before Aiden could strike, the witch raised her hand. A strange, shimmering light surrounded her fingers, swirling with a darkness that seemed to suck the light from the world around them. She muttered an incantation under her breath, words in an ancient language that Kaelen could not understand.

Suddenly, Aiden's body froze. Pain shot through him like lightning, forcing him to his knees. He howled in agony as his limbs began to twist and shrink. His powerful muscles, once a testament to his strength, withered. His fur receded and darkened, and his form rapidly shrank from that of a proud alpha to a small, ordinary canine. He was no longer the towering beast that had commanded respect and fear—he was a mere dog.

The transformation was swift, leaving Aiden gasping in disbelief. He looked up at the witch, fury burning in his now smaller, dulled eyes. But his growl came out as a pathetic whimper. He could no longer speak, no longer demand anything. He was trapped.

The witch stepped closer, bending down to meet his eyes. "You will learn humility, Aiden," she whispered. "You will know what it's like to live as prey, to be helpless and weak. Perhaps, if you survive, you'll understand that power comes not from dominance, but from wisdom."

With that, she turned and disappeared into the mist, leaving Aiden alone in his new, fragile form.

As the fog thickened around him, Aiden's mind raced. How could this have happened? He was the alpha, a ruler among wolves, reduced to this. But the danger was far from over. He could sense the hunters—humans who had been tracking his pack for months—approaching. In his current form, he would be an easy target, defenseless and exposed.

Aiden swallowed his pride, realizing his only option was to flee. He turned tail and ran, not as the proud leader he once was, but as a small, frightened dog, sprinting through the underbrush as the sound of hunters' footsteps closed in behind him.

His only hope of survival now lay in hiding—and, for the first time in his life.

....

In the outskirts of city A, where there were green hills and Clearwater, even though the city was not too developed, you could still see passenger dressing in a modern way. In the jungle nearby, gunshots, arrows, foreign language, rustling of the leaves could be heard.

In the midst of these, a husky could be seen passing through unexpectedly at a speed quicker than lightning.

if anyone was around they would be able to clearly see that the attack was directed to the husky.

Aiden the alpha werewolf which was also the husky could be seen panting heavily as he leaps between the gunshots and arrows. He was wounded seriously and blood could be seen pumping out.

" You shameless hunters! if you are capable, wait till I break the curse on me" Aiden shouted angrily when he successfully evaded the danger.

As Aiden was limping out of the forest, he couldn't help grumping and cursing the vengeful witch Lena who stripped him of his powers and left him vulnerable and thinking about his lover who died in the process of saving him. He blamed himself for being careless, had it been he was careful, he wouldn't have loose her.

Now wounded and on a run from restless werewolf hunters, Aiden's hope was dwindling. He has searched far and wide for a way to break the curse but his past mistakes seemed to be catching up with him.

At this thought, Aiden felt miserable, time was running out and he feared that his quest would end in tragedy and that is what that witch wanted ' I can't wait anymore, I need to find a way to get out of this mess'.

Aiden who was in his thoughts froze ' shit when did they surround me ' seeing the simultaneous attack, he held his breath and looked at the weapon shooting towards him at a speed of light. when it almost reached him, he jumped with all his might to avoid it.

The moment Aiden jumped, the forest echo with the cries of the surrounding animals, who was blasted.

Aiden could not believe it as his eyes widened in shock, before he could relaxed another waves of shot was directed towards him, he tries to evade it but...

His sight was enveloped with the shot, he was blasted out of the forest and fell hard on the hard streets.

" Damn you hunters! just you wait, I will return everything to you with extra".

....

How did it feel to be blasted?

The pain felt as if his body was slowly sliced apart with a hot knife and then tortured by burning in flames. The amount of pain was sufficient to cause mental breakdown in any living things.

In the darkness, Aiden felt so miserable that he almost cried.

He thought he had successfully evaded those hunters, yet the only thing he did not consider was a possibility that the shot will be so powerful and those pitiful creatures.
