Damian reached his house late in the night, he hadn't been home for many months. He returned to the same old home and entered and met his forever faithful butler IZ Damian called him IZ ever since he was born but his real name was Ioizine Zyde. He trained Damian so many things including how to fight and talk, He was Damian's foster father because Damian's father was never home he was always away doing other things guess those other things were more important than raising his son "Hey IZ" Damian said as he approached IZ. IZ gave a slight bow to indicate Damian's importance. "Welcome home young master" "How did your little treasure hunt go" IZ added hoping master had something interesting to tell him as he always did when He goes away from home for long "I have nothing," Damian said briefly as he threw his bag he was always holding down IZ took the bag to see if he could find a treasured monument but he found nothing "You got nothing," IZ said with a surprised look on his face "You're indeed a very useless master you were away for six months and just come home empty handed " IZ added disgusted by his young master "How was I supposed to find anything with everybody looking also wanting to find things" "That's why Julius hasn't been back in over 5 years looking for the rarest of all the treasures the eye of the demon king " Damian leaving IZ in silence "Even Dad who is supposed to wait I… don't …. know…. some important man left the house without a word for the past two years ...…." Damian added in frustration "That's enough Damian" a different voice said interrupting him. They both turned simultaneously only to see a young woman in her mid-thirties with a luscious mane of black hair, which cascaded down her back like a waterfall of the night walk into the room "I don't think I was talking to you" Damian said rudely. "Oh God is that how young children now greet their parents when they return from a long journey" said the woman who happens to be Damian's mother as she moved to hug Damian but Damian shoved her away. But she was quick as she held Damian's head and looked into his eyes and said quite surprised "How did your eyes change colors" "How old are you, MOM? Don't you know about colored eye lenses" Damian said yet again rudely IZ looked at him suspiciously. Shortly after his mom left his room IZ removed a knife from his coat and cut Damian on his face but before a drop of blood fell on the ground the wound had already been healed "So that's what you have been doing " IZ said "Becoming a vampire is one of the greatest things to happen a miserable human being like you " IZ said excitedly "How did you know that I was one" Damian said amazed by that IZ had just done "Fought one before damn they were quite very difficult to deal with and their scarlet-hued eyes, like blood-red moons" IZ answered putting his hand on his chin reminiscing about those fearful creatures "Anyways its late master please go to bed" IZ added as he left the room leaving Damian in absolute silence.
"Advanced and accelerated recuperation which, means that body parts are created back to their original state when they are destroyed" Damian read from a book "Blood ART: it's used by only the vampire race and involves the use of blood in every magic used by the caster and its usage varies among this species" Damian went on reading "Uhmm… page 675," Damian said as he began looking for this page "Ways a vampire can bestow his powers to another person. The 1st Inheritance which is the most desirable one out of the bunch, one can acquire such powers when the vampire in question trains another vampire in his art. N/B The trainee vampire must begin his training straight after birth and it takes usually no less than 50 years of constant training the 2nd which is forbidden is the Blood Test, this process is accompanied by eating a vampire's heart to forcefully acquire the powers. This is rarely used by vampires because it is cannibalism and it's considered an unjust way of acquiring such powers" Damian read on but soon realized it was getting too late and drifted off to sleep, the book lying on his chest as he lay on the bed.
The next day, Damian was still fast asleep when there was a knock on his door "Master, open the door it me IZ" Zyde said when he wasn't getting any response. Damian slowly got up from his bed. He felt some level of weakness in his body as he walked towards the door. He opened the door to see IZ holding a tray with some food on it "You're breakfast is here master" IZ said as he entered and put the tray on a table by the bed "I have some body pains can breakfast wait a little bit" Damian said rubbing his shoulders, "I see so the side effects are now starting to show it" IZ said "I was wondering when they'll start to take effect" IZ added "What side effects" Damian shrugged "Master have you forgotten you're now a vampire" "oh yeah I'm now a vampire I forgot" Damian said " Just yesterday the powers haven't fully manifested in your body some part of you is still resisting" IZ added "Really" Damian said as he went to eat his food. "You know vampires and humans are complete opposites you know right" IZ said as Damian ate his food "No" "Alright vampires which we all know are very powerful and their special technique blood art is very rare to have so most vampires cannot manifest these arts unless they use the inheritance to teach fellow vampire their arts but most vampires group themselves into families and they pass down their special techniques to their kinship circle " IZ said whiles Damian ate his food "It will be a miracle if you could use blood art" "But I can use it" Damian interrupted IZ "Wait what that should be impossible" IZ said with a surprised look on his face. They talked for a lot while Damian ate his food. Upon completing his meal Damian got up from his seat and pushed the table further "I'm taking my leave to pay Stein a visit" With that Damian got up and left his room leaving IZ alone who cleared his leftover food. Damian was walking along the corridor when he saw a newspaper underneath a door leading to his mother's room. He picked it up just to have a glance at it, All the werewolves in the werewolf's den were brutally murdered read more on page 31, and Damian immediately saw it on the cover page of the newspaper. Damian looked shocked as he as this. He turned to the page and immediately saw "A sudden mystery was encountered yesterday night as almost all the werewolves in the werewolf met their untimely death on a full moon" "Upon the autopsy we found all the wolves except three of them had similar wounds on their bodies their heads were brutally injured and it was most likely done by a sword due to the nature of their wounds sources say it was one person that killed them but that will be impossible for someone to do" Damian read with real shock on his face, he dropped the newspaper and began running to his room but he almost crashed IZ but due to his extremely fast reflexes, he dodges IZ by hair's breadth escape. "I got to escape IZ," Damian said almost immediately "Why" IZ said holding Damian with great strength, "Let us go to your room and speak to me" IZ added gently giving some kind of assurance. As they walked into the room Damian told IZ everything from when he ate the man's heart gaining these powers to how he managed to single-handedly destroy all the werewolves in the werewolf's den. IZ put his hand on his chin and thought deeply before saying this after a dramatic pause "If you stay here any longer the Monster Bureau of Investigation (MBI) will surely find you within the shortest possible time unless you leave this town for a minimum of two years to be safe" "Just think of this as one of your expeditions just that this would be your longest one yet and you have to very far from this town" IZ said sadly thinking that his master is not mature for these tasks. After like thirty minutes Damian was done packing his stuff which was surprisingly few in numbers. "Be careful" IZ said looking into the sad eyes of his master as he hugged him "Don't worry you will be fine my boy is all grown up, you can take care of yourself" IZ whispered in his ears as he hugged him. With that Damian took his bag and went to his mother's room, opened the door and he saw her sleeping but then he said quietly "Goodbye mum. There is a possibility that I will not come back again" then he closed the door "Good Bye my son and don't ever give up" His mom said. Little did he know that his mom wasn't asleep and heard all the commotion. Damian left his house closing the main not knowing when he would return.
