As the judge left the courtroom, Julian immediately approached Charlotte, who was about to leave.
"Charlotte, you still have a chance to return to me." He said, "We can start over, and I promise I will be a better person for you."
Charlotte glared at him, feeling disgusted with her soon-to-be ex-husband. "You've said those words hundreds of times, but it is nothing more than an empty promise."
Julian's jaw clenched, but he forced a smile, trying to keep his composure. "This time I mean it, Charlotte. Look, I know I've made mistakes, but don't let the people around you manipulate you into thinking I'm the enemy."
Charlotte raised an eyebrow and scoffed. "The only person manipulating me is you, Julian."
