Charlotte felt as if the ground beneath her feet was slipping away.
What did he mean by a misunderstanding?
Before she went to the dining room this morning, her lawyer told her that Julian had already signed the divorce papers. So Damon decided to register her name as his Luna.
But it turned out that he rejected the divorce papers instead.
Then, why would her lawyer lie to her?
"Are you sure you didn't make a mistake? My lawyer said Mr. Warren signed my divorce papers."
The receptionist gave her a helpless smile. "I know you're desperate, Mrs. Dawson. But our system never makes mistakes when entering data." She continued as she checked something, "And about your lawyer ... Mr. Gion is the one who gave us the rejected divorce papers this morning."
Now Charlotte was even more confused. She tried to call her lawyer, but was immediately redirected to voicemail.
