DECLAN POV
I sat in the office with Rhea who stood by my side not even looking remorseful at all.
It had been a pleasant day so far. Daisy had been nice to me and there was an inkling of hope that she might forgive me soon.
I had gone to the club to spend time with my daughter.
I chuckled to myself, it was still unreal to know that I had a daughter.
A beautiful daughter who had just broken a teenager's nose.
I had gone to our usual spot and hadn't seen Rhea. After waiting for a while, I went to her class and was informed she was in the office after breaking someone's nose.
I had gone to the office and decided to stay until Daisy came.
The problem now was Rhea had refused to apologize to the boy.
His mother was there, a shrewd-looking woman who screeched with her painful voice.
"This little witch has put his life in danger." she pointed to Lily.
The little witch in question was busy playing with my bracelet without a care in the world.
"Madam, she isn't a witch, and I doubt a broken nose would put your son in danger." I tried to reason with her.
"And who are you anyway and why are you butting your nose in?" she asked me.
"I am her father." I declared.
"You are?" the person in charge asked in surprise.
"Yes, don't you see the resemblance?" I asked.
"He is my daddy, you can ask my mummy when she comes," Rhea added.
Shit! Daisy would be angry when she came. But then again, I couldn't leave Rhea alone with this woman.
"So you are her father? Couldn't you train her better?"
"I beg your pardon?" I asked her.
"She is a girl who should know how to control her temper, a little girl for that matter.
Why is she even learning to fight in the first place, there are way more feminine hobbies."
"Wow! It's interesting how you came up with this all by yourself, so girls have no place in fighting, according to you. Coming from a woman, that's shameful." I told her.
"You...." she was at a loss for words.
I turned to Rhea, "What happened?"
"He has always been picking on me since I was moved to his class. He and his group of friends, keep pranking me. Today, he tripped me and laughed as usual. I was tired of his behavior so I punched him." she replied.
I looked at the woman who strangely enough was now quiet.
"Don't you have anything to say?" I asked her.
"I am sure it's a misunderstanding, my son would never do such a thing, I raised him better than that," she replied.
"you mean you raised him to be a boy who abuses little girls who are way younger than him, you raised him to be a bully?" I asked her.
"No, my son isn't like that" she replied.
The man held his hand to stop our back and forth, it was a shame because I was already looking forward to arguing with her till she regretted ever calling Rhea a little witch.
"Rhea, why didn't you say anything?"
"my instructor calls me a weird kid and never believes anything I say."
Fury filled me, this wasn't the first time she had talked about her instructor calling her weird and not paying attention to her.
"Is this how you operate your lessons, children being called weird and being bullied/" I queried the instructor.
"I am very sorry, I will look into this matter and resolve it, I assure you."
"Please do, I am sure my son didn't do a thing, this little girl is just lying." the boy's mother screeched again.
I fixed my gaze on the boy who squirmed and refused to maintain eye contact.
"There are CCTV cameras in their training hall right?" I asked the man in charge.
"yes, there are cameras there," he replied.
"so if we go through the cameras, we can see what happened right?" I asked, still not shifting my gaze from him.
"yes, we can see what happened," he replied.
The boy began to squirm in his seat.
"if they check the cameras and you were guilty of bullying her, life as you know it would be over because I would make sure you don't get away scot-free," I told the boy.
"Are you threatening my son?" she asked me. fuck! Her tiny ass voice was giving me a migraine already.
"No Daddy isn't threatening him, he is just passing advice to him," Rhea replied on my behalf.
"you little!" she pointed her finger at Rhea.
"I dare you to finish that statement," I told her.
"I did it, but it wasn't bullying, we just played a couple of harmless tricks on her." the boy spoke up.
"They weren't harmless tricks." Rhea retorted.
"mention the names of your accomplices," the person in charge asked him.
He rattled off some names while his mother looked everywhere but at me.
"Don't you think you owe her an apology?" I asked him.
"I am sorry," he told Rhea.
"I don't accept it," she replied.
The woman stood up and pulled the boy up with her.
"We are done here right?"
"yes, punishments for his crimes would be communicated later"
"and the next time you lay a hand on my daughter will be the last time you use your hand," I told the boy.
He flinched in fear while his mother huffed in anger before pulling him away.
"I am deeply sorry about this, i will look into this matter and make sure it never happens again." he apologized.
"make sure it never happens again and about that instructor who called her weird..."
"we will also deal with that matter."
"Okay, I look forward to seeing the results," I told him.
He nodded.
"Rhea sweetie, what do you say about some ice cream?" I asked her.
"yay." she cheered.
I picked her up, we were just about to leave when the door opened and Daisy walked in.
"I am sorry I am late, traffic was terrible." she apologized.
"It's okay, your husband already handled everything."
"husband?" she asked.
"yes, Rhea's father." he pointed at me.
Shit! Daisy was going to be so mad at me.
