DAISY POV
I hadn't slept a wink the previous night, I had looked after Rigel to make sure he was okay.
He had slept peacefully throughout the night, apart from when he had tossed and turned for a while, he had slept.
The doctors had assured me he was okay, it was simply the anesthesia.
Rhea had slept, too; she must have been exhausted after all that had happened the previous night.
I checked the time; it was five am, and the kids would be awake soon.
Their nanny already texted me that she would be here soon.
The door opened and Stefan walked in.
"Dearest sister of mine." he walked up to me and kissed me on the forehead.
"Hey, how are you? How is Declan?" I asked.
"I am fine, Declan is also fine. The doctors said he was weak after donating his blood."
"Where is he? What room?"
"He left Daisy."
"What do you mean he left?"
"I stepped out to talk to Axel when I came back; he had already called his sister and was about to leave."
"and that is all? He didn't ask anything further?"
"No, Daisy."
"I don't understand Stefan; he saw Rigel right; he saw the resemblance. They are the same blood type, aren't they? I mean, he donated his blood...."
"Daisy, Declan is a coward. He knows what it all means, but he doesn't want to accept it."
"For a minute! I thought, I don't even know what I was expecting but not him leaving like that...."
He put his hand on my shoulder.
"Daisy, Declan is the least of your concerns now, we need to find out who kidnapped the children."
I pulled myself together; Stefan was right, and Declan was the least of my problems right now.
I had to think about important things.
"What did you find? Was Axel able to find out anything?"
"Axel found the wrecked car in the location Declan showed us. The driver was dead already. Axel was able to get his phone though. He will bring it over so you can hack into it and see if there is any important information in there."
"Okay, that is a starting point."
"Our men are currently trailing Mr Marquez as well."
"I am sure he is the one behind this...."
"And how do you know that? How are you so sure?" he asked.
"You remember the footage he edited?"
"Yes, what about it?"
"in the original video, after he left, I and Declan talked about Rhea and her fighting lessons. I am sure he started getting information from there."
Stefan nodded in realization.
"We will keep on watching him and if he is involved, it won't be long until he slips."
"I can't even be mad at Declan if it wasn't for him, I don't know how yesterday would have turned out."
"Rhea likes him a lot and surprisingly enough, he likes her too," Stefan noted.
"Yes, it's a bit surprising, he hates me because he thinks I cheated on him but adores her. I would never have imagined she was the R.H. he was talking about."
"Me too, but I still don't like him. He had the opportunity to make things right but like a coward, he left."
"I just hope we catch whosoever is behind this."
"When we get them, I feel pity for them. Axel won't let them off easily. Dad is really angry. He is thinking of announcing you are his daughter." Stefan disclosed.
"What! He wants to do that?"
"Yes, he wants everyone to know you are a Helios, and who goes against you goes against the entire family."
The feeling I have is bittersweet; growing up had been frustrating, knowing that my father didn't want anyone to know I was his daughter; I had felt invisible in the family.
But I also had the freedom and anonymity to do what I wanted.
Once everyone knew I was Daisy Helios, things would change.
I wouldn't even be able to know the real feelings people had towards me. Everyone would be so nice since they didn't want to offend my family.
And Declan, how would he react?
"Daisy, are you okay?" Stefan asked.
"I am fine. Just thinking about what the future holds."
"Well, one thing is clear about the future, I would be there with you."
"Thank you, Stefan."
"Mummy!" Rigel woke up.
I rushed to him. "Baby, are you okay?"
"Mummy, something bad happened, someone took us. Where is Rhea?" he asked.
"Rhea is fine, you are such a brave boy." I kissed him on the forehead.
I rang for the doctor, who came to check on him. He advised us to give him breakfast and the nurses would come to give him drugs later.
Justina came in, "Oh, Miss Daisy, I was so worried."
"Well they are fine now...you can breathe easily now," I told her.
She smiled and went to meet Rigel.
"My lovely boy, how are you?" she asked.
"I am fine..." he smiled at her.
"Give him a sponge bath and breakfast," I told her.
"Yes ma'am."
"Now let me wake little Miss Rhea up," I muttered.
"Daisy, I am outside; let me make some phone calls," Rigel told me.
"No problem, take your time," I replied.
I went to Rhea, I shook her awake gently.
"Rhea sweetie, it's morning"
She opened her eyes.
"Good morning, Mommy."
"Good morning my darling...." I kissed her forehead.
"Mummy, where is Uncle Declan?" she asked me.
I carried her up.
"Why don't you brush your teeth first and take a bath before we ask questions.." I told her as I carried her to the bathroom.
While I was bathing her, she asked me again.
"Mummy, where did Uncle Declan go?"
"He went home to rest, he will be back soon"
"Okay... I hope he comes back soon," she said with a smile.
"Rhea, do you like Uncle Declan?"
She nodded, "Yes, I like him a lot."
"So you see him every day at the fighting club?"
She kept quiet.
"Rhea sweetie, you can tell me. I won't be mad, uncle Declan already told me part of the story." I assured her.
