Chapter 35 - Thirty six

DAISY POV

If looks could kill, I would have died from the nasty looks Stella and Lily were giving me.

"What do you mean by that stupid statement?" Stella asked.

"I thought we were all whores, I was simply introducing my colleagues," I tell them.

"You are crossing the line, Daisy," Lily warned me.

"So this is Declan's sister and the woman he left you for?" Silvan asks me.

"Yes," I answered him.

He looks at Stella up and down.

"Well he went from grace to grass," he commented.

"Who is now the grass?" Stella asked, fury in her eyes.

"Whoever the shoe fits," he answered her with a nonchalant shrug.

"You? Who the hell are you to talk to me like that?" Stella asked him.

"That information is way above your pay grade," he told her.

She opened her mouth and dosed it like a fish, but no sound came out.

l deeply enjoyed the sight of Stella being speechless.

The salesperson brought the dress for me in the store-branded bag and returned my card to me.

"Thank you for your patronage, Ma'am."

"You are welcome."

The salesperson looked at Stella and Lily.

"I am afraid, I would have to ask you to leave." She tells them.

"What do you mean leave?" Lily asks.

"You have constituted a nuisance since you stepped into our shop, we do not need your patronage."

"Nuisance, she was the one who started it." Stella pointed to me.

"Madams, if you don't leave, we will have to call security." The salesperson warned me.

"Daisy, let's go. They might be arrested, and I don't want you mixing with criminals." Silvan told me.

"Of course Silvan." I take his hand and we leave the store.

"Who are you calling a criminal?" Stella yells as we leave.

I burst into laughter when we walked a distance.

Silvan joins me and we laugh uncontrollably for some minutes.

People passing look at us in confusion. Their looks only make us laugh more.

Finally, we get ourselves under control.

"That was so funny, I have never seen them so angry," I tell Silvan.

"Is this how they always behave?" he asked me.

"Yes, even when I was married to Declan, they would always make snide remarks and insult me," I answered.

"And what did Declan do?"

"I didn't tell him."

"Why?"

"I didn't want to bring trouble to his relationship with his family. He was already having troubles with his family."

"And he didn't notice too?"

"They were on their best behavior when he was home."

"Well, I am just glad you are free of them. They look like despicable people."

"They are. Come on, let's go."

"Okay."

We leave the mall and drive back to his office.

He helps me put the shopping bags in my car.

"Drive safely," he told me.

"I will, thanks for everything today."

"That's what friends do"

"Well, bye friend." I give him a little wave.

"Bye Friend," he replied.

I was about to enter the car when he stopped me.

"Let me give you my number so you can call me next time you want to see me," he told me.

I smile and hand him my phone.

He inputs his number and hands me the phone back.

"See you around Daisy."

"See you around Silvan."

I get into my car and drive off.

When I got home, the kids were already back.

They were with the nanny doing their homework.

"Mommy!" Rigel runs to me and hugs me.

Rhea gives me a smile and wave and goes back to her homework.

I walked over and hugged her.

"How was school today my babies?"

"Cool mommy," Rigel replied, still clinging to me.

"Boring," Rhea replied.

"Rhea, Uncle Stefan took you to the fighting school. Did you like it?"

She lits up in excitement.

"I liked it, mummy. I saw some children learning, and they looked so cool," she answered me.

"My baby, I am so happy you had fun."

"Thank you, Mommy, I love you." she hugged me.

I hug her back and relish in the hug. My baby told me she loved me and hugged me.

She pulled away and returned to her homework.

"I bought you guys some stuff, when you are done with your homework, go and check them," I told them.

"Thank you, Mommy," they say in unison.

"What about you Rigel? your uncle Stefan said you didn't want to learn fighting"

He makes a face.

"No, Mommy, I don't want to learn fighting. I want to learn more about software engineering and coding."

"Hmmm, okay. After school, you will meet me at the office, and I will get you a tutor to expand your knowledge. Is that okay?"

"Yes, Mommy. Thank you, Mommy. I love you."

"I love you too, Rigel; I love you too, Rhea," I tell them.

"Where is Uncle Stefan?" I ask them.

"In his room."

"Okay, have fun guys."

"Okay, Mommy," Rigel replies.

"How are you doing Juliet? Hope they didn't stress you?" I ask their nanny.

"I am fine Ma, no they didn't stress me. They have been absolute darlings," she answered me.

"Okay, keep up the good work."

"Thank you, ma'am." I leave them and go to Stefan's room.

"Hey, dearest brother of mine," I tell him as I stroll inside his room without knocking.

"You didn't knock."

"You don't knock either." I fire back at him.

"Hmmm."

"Thank you for helping out with the kids."

"You are welcome," he replies and goes back to his work.

I sit down next to him on the bed and hug him.

"I am sorry, I didn't tell you about Declan. I forgot."

"So it's not because you still have feelings for him?" he asked me.

"hell no, how can I have feelings for him after everything he did, never."

"Are you sure Daisy?"

"one hundred percent sure. I swear." I put my hand on my chest.

"Why don't I believe you? Are you sure you haven't fallen under his spell again?"

"No Stefan, I haven't fallen under his spell. I assure you."
