The sun was setting far west, the light of the sunset falling on the sands, as the 5 dragonets fly through the kingdom of sand. They'll reach the night kingdom within tonight but they surely need a break. So, they decided to fly down infront of a coconut tree in the desert.
Blake spread his wings and laid on the sand, he waa tired, not because of the flight but because of contant hunting. Snowflake didnt like the sand much, she just sat down, and didnt relax to lay down. While on the other hand, Aqua curled under the coconut tree. Hawk and Crystal were also sittinf down, relaxing on the sands. The winds were getting colder as the night approached the desert lands.
"You must feel good here... Relaxing on the sand", Cryatal looked at Hawk as he nodded. " You're right. Its my home. I love the sand. But im pretty sure someone hates it here", Hawk would point at Snowflake, who was having an uncomfortable time on the sand, as she stared at Hawk with an annoyed expression. "Oh please you'd feel annoyed in the snow. So it's obvious for me to be annoyed in the sand" Snow said as Hawk and Crystal laughed. "How do you feel on the sand?" Hawk looked at Crystal. "Not much different", Crystal replied. "As long it is the night time, I'm pretty fine anywhere".
" The queen expects us to meet within tonight so, we should take a minimum of an hour rest then head start from here straight to the kingdom of Night", Crystal said. "Im starving....", Snowflake said with an annoyed expression, her stomach rumbling. " What do you eat in the desert?" she asked Hawk. "Erm we have roasted lizard, camel, and almost anything found in the desert. Sometimes vultures from the sky", Hawk said. "Would you mind hunting something for us? I'll come help you", Snowflake asked. Her facial expression would say that she was starving a lot, considering the last time they stopped to eat was about 6-7 hours ago. " Sure ", Hawk replied. "I'll stay with the others then", CrystalClaws said. Hawk and Snowflake agreed as they spread their wings and soared in the sunset sky of the desert, leaving the other 3 under the coconut tree.
The scorpion den lights were seen at a distant and Snowflake asked if they could go there and purchase something. But it was dangerous there, especially with the icewing heir so they avoided the scorpion den. The two of them soared through the sky around, looking at the ground with attention for prey.
"Strange.. I found nothing, tho there are always prey in the desert", Hawk said with confusion. " Oh great, I feel like dying without getting to eat anything", Snowflake said. "What about some cacti juice? You can drink it", Hawk asked. Snowflake nodded because she had no other choice. The two of them with that flew down infront of a giant cacti and Hawk used his sharp claws and began chopping the cacti, as Snowflake waited for him to proceed.
Wingbeats were heard from a distant, raising alert of the 2 dragonets. " You hear that?" Snowflake asked, pointing at the South-East direction from where wingbeats were heard. "I see a dragon up there", Hawk said, looking up, dropping the piece of Cacti on the ground which he just chopped with his claws.
The dragon's wings were red-orange, showing the wings of a skywing, but it surely wasnt Blake because Blake left fire trails on his way. They eyed the skywing who was approaching right at them, and out of nowhere the skywing attacked Hawk and Snowflake, soaring down and breathing fire.
Hawk dodged the flames with Snowflake. He noticed the skywing had a strange armor, similar to that of Emperor Celestial of the day, but it looked slightly powerful and majestic. The skywing was probably a guard but why attacking them? They didnt know but all they could do now is kill him. Hawk roared and swung his venomous tail at the skywing, who missed a scratch on his chest by a few millimeters. Snowflake jumped on the skywing, digging her claws on his scales, as the skywing roared in anger and agony. He grabbed Snowflake's neck and threw her on the sand.
" Snowflake! You alrighr?!" Hawk cried. "Im alright.. Kill him!" Snowflake growled. Hawk looked at the rogue skywing guard who blasted fire at Hawk. He dodged it and bit the skywing's left wing. The skywing almost put Hawk on fire but Snowflake Blasted frostbreathe at the skywing's face, stopping him from burning Hawk. Wasting no time, Hawk stung the skying with his venomous tail 3 times, and killed him.
Blood drooled from Hawk's venomous tail as he panted, standing infront of the dead skywing and Snowflake beside. "You alright?" Snowflake asked. "Yea I am, dont worry", Hawk said with heavy breathes. " But, who is this skywing. The armor he is wearing looks like Celestial army's armor".
The armor of the skywing was a red ruby helmet with bright yellow feathers. There was a sun marking on the helmet, showing the sign of Celestial. But they noticed an odd feature. There was somewhat a drawing of a crescent moon beside the sun, and there was a cross mark on the crescent moon as if the moon was beinf cancelled by the sun. "What in the 3 moons is going on..", Snowflake asked. " No clue, the helmet is proven to be from Celestial, but it's rather uprgraded. The cancel moon mark is carved on it recently", Hawk said inspecting the armor carefully. "Something is going wrong, and I feel like we'll be swarmed soon if we do not go back to the others."
"Perhaps you're right", Snowflake asked. "But, take the armor. We can show this to the Night Empress Lunar. Plus, the assignment is related to Celestial and maybe there is something wrong going on and we dont know yet", she further said.
Hawk took a deep breathe. He didnt know if the armor had any enchantments on it or not. He wouldnt like wearing an enchanted armor, which would drive his mind differently." Okay, we'll take it but, we wont wear it, no matter what", Hawk replied, as he crouched down and began to take the armor off the skywing as Snowflake watched him.
"I feel like..." Snowflake started with somewhat a voice of nervousness, " I feel like Pyrrhia is about to meet a certain doom soon.."
