Liu Changhe heard that Lin Ziqiang had returned and instantly felt his heart in tumult. It was already in disarray, as Jiang Xiaobai alone was enough to give him splitting headaches. To make matters worse, Lai Changqing kept fanning the flames and shooting cold arrows from behind. Now, at this critical juncture, Lin Ziqiang, with whom he shared a deep-seated enmity, chose to come back.
After drinking a bit of alcohol at noon, Liu Changhe wanted to lie down on his bed for a while but found himself too restless and agitated to sleep. Thinking that he needed to meet up with Lin Ziqiang, he grabbed a teapot and, with his hands behind his back, left his house.
Lin Ziqiang and the three Wang brothers were in the midst of vigorous construction by Nanwan Lake. With many hands making light work, and Lai Changqing bringing a few masons from the village, the progress was much faster with around ten people working together.
