Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Food Source

Back inside the pitch-black void, Sado could be seen, sitting on the ground, his back leaning against a tree. Staring aimlessly into the dark, it has been a week since the wolves first attacked him. Or at least tried to attack him. During this week, Sado hasn't done much of anything, aimlessly walking around, before his young body gives out and he collapses on the ground.

Drifting into a deep sleep, however, mere seconds before we arrived at this point. The sound of growling was heard. Jolting the young Sado awake. But, the growling didn't stem from a wolf or any other creature. It stemmed from Sado himself. The sound of his stomach growling violently.

It had been a week since Sado had eaten something, his body was begging for food, but with no clue where food was, Sado was forced to walk around, randomly hoping to find some type of animal. And from the looks of it, this day will follow suit. Gingerly, Sado stood up from the ground, glancing to his left and right before walking straight.

He took step after step, walking and walking, until after what felt like an eternity, something new finally happened. Sado took one more step on the grass, before he put his left foot forward however, unlike usual, Sado didn't step on the grass, instead, his foot sank into the ground and his toes were quickly covered.

In a state of shock, Sado swiftly yanked his leg back and stumbled back with his palm pointing forward, creating a ball of energy that illuminated the area. Revealing a long pathway of mud. The mud came from a dried-out river, obviously, Sado didn't understand this and could only look at the dried river, with a confused look on his face.

Yet, something was telling Sado to follow this dried river, whether it was his instincts from his ancestors or simply luck. Sado closed his fist, crushing the ball of light in his palm, and began to follow the dried river...

Location: ???

" Stupid. Just stupid. " Mumbled Leeks, sitting on a cushioned gray bed with several pillows. The bed frame was made of metal and shaped like a cube, with a mattress on top of it. Leeks was staring at a concrete floor, with his legs off the bed.

" Sending Saiyans to Planet Apple? Did he not learn anything from his father? I understand it was a direct order from King Cold...But still, he should have tried something else. " Leeks glanced to his right, staring out of a circular window with red glass, watching as several saiyans left inside pods flying through the air, before sighing and speaking.

" Oh well, there's nothing I can do about it. If only we had six more years. Then maybe, just maybe we could have conquered that planet. " Leeks grew silent, pondering before he closed his eyes and spoke.

" Etco, if I don't return in six years, please manually shut down this experiment. " As soon as Leeks said this, a sudden mechanical voice came from one of the screens.

" Understood sir. I wish you a pleasant return from Planet Apple. " Leeks scoffed at this remark, as he walked through the sliding metal door...

As Leeks left the room, beginning his journey to Planet Apple, back inside the pitch-black void, Sado could be seen standing directly in front of a gushing river, his eyes dilated, staring intensely into the invisible water, hidden by the darkness.

His small fingers began to twitch, over and over again, until in an instant, his hand shot forward submerging into the river, before rapidly being pulled out, sending water flying out into the air, as a small fish flailed rapidly in Sado's hand. Sado stared at this fish confused until his instincts took over and his mouth latched open, and he took a massive bite out of the fish.

Blood gushed out of the fish, covering Sado's forearm in blood, as a bloody smile crept onto his face, as he took another bite. Quickly, the fish was eaten, and Sado reached back into the river.

With a food source now required, all seems well with Sado, however, the same could not be said for the saiyans arriving at Planet Apple...
