Elsewhere, An Lu had comfortably unloaded a pallet of goods and subconsciously glanced over at Mu Rufeng.
What he saw made An Lu's eyelids twitch.
Mu Rufeng had also finished unloading a pallet and was wrapping it with stretch film.
What was going on? Was Mu Rufeng unloading Blood Flower Beer faster than he was unloading instant noodles?
As if sensing An Lu's gaze, Mu Rufeng turned his head and smiled.
He said, "With so many hands of yours, you are unloading quite slowly, aren't you? If you can't finish, you can ask me for help."
After saying that, he didn't wait for An Lu to reply and went straight into the warehouse with his beer.
Although the Alcohol Warehouse was quite large and there was plenty of space for placing goods in front of it, the area was somewhat dominated by the Scarlet Eyeballs that Mu Rufeng had unloaded, taking up over two dozen pallet spots.
Fortunately, the goods An Lu had previously finished unloading had already been taken care of by the Receiving Staff and dragged mostly inside.
Mu Rufeng immediately pulled his load over to that area and arranged it neatly.
Seeing this, An Lu quickly wrapped his goods in stretch film and dragged them over to place them properly as well.
The space was limited, and if it was occupied, he would only be able to place goods on the platform.
But placing goods on the platform would incur a fine.
On the wall of the warehouse hung a clearly stated Rule:
"[No goods are allowed above the platform; violators will be fined ten soul coins per pallet.]"
As the two crossed paths, An Lu said, "You should be done unloading the Scarlet Eyeballs by now, right? Hurry up and have the Receiving Staff take them, so you're not taking up space here."
Mu Rufeng replied with a smile, "Sorry, I haven't finished unloading yet, so I can't receive the goods."
An Lu didn't continue the conversation, only shooting Mu Rufeng a resentful glance before departing.
Mu Rufeng watched An Lu leave, stroking his chin and considering, "I should be able to squeeze quite a few more soul coins out of him, but I need to speed up the unloading."
Right away, Mu Rufeng returned to the front of the cargo truck and began unloading furiously.
In the blink of an eye, half an hour passed.
Mu Rufeng wrapped up the goods with stretch film.
There were only about twenty or so items left at the front end of the carriage.
In just half an hour, Mu Rufeng was about to finish unloading.
Strangely, the truck driver had not come forward the whole time.
Of course, along with the decrease of goods, the environment inside the carriage also changed significantly.
The stench grew more potent, the blood beneath Mu Rufeng's feet now covered his instep, and the surrounding area became extremely cold.
With each breath Mu Rufeng took, a long plume of white mist formed.
Yet these changes did not slow the pace of Mu Rufeng's unloading at all.
He was completely unaffected.
It seemed that his Zombie Template directly immunized him from all of it.
If it were an ordinary person, they'd probably have been frozen stiff by now.
Mu Rufeng dragged the goods out of the truck with a pallet jack.
When he arrived inside the warehouse, the frontal area had been fully occupied by goods.
Mu Rufeng found a space in the very corner.
There was just enough room to place about four pallets.
Aside from the pathway, all other places were taken.
"About time to check on An Lu," Mu Rufeng chuckled to himself, placed the goods properly, and prepared to leave.
Just then, he saw An Lu dragging a pallet of goods toward him.
"Mu Rufeng, you've unloaded both trucks of goods, haven't you? Hurry up and let the Receiving Staff handle them," An Lu said.
"Not yet," Mu Rufeng replied in surprise.
"I've counted the goods you've unloaded. Even if you're not done, there shouldn't be much left. If you don't receive them, and all the space is taken, where am I going to put my stuff?" An Lu said coldly.
"You're pretty good at counting, aren't you? But see, I've unloaded two trucks continuously, and my body is aching. I might need to rest for more than half an hour before I can continue unloading," Mu Rufeng said with a smile.
"Fine, you want to play games, huh? Okay, I remember that it's been over an hour since you started unloading the Scarlet Eyeballs."
"I'm taking the remaining spots. Let's see who can wait longer," An Lu huffed.
"Heh, sure, go ahead," Mu Rufeng said, not minding at all.
Seeing this, An Lu said nothing more and turned to leave.
Mu Rufeng stopped unloading as well and turned to go into the Scarlet Eyeball truck.
"Chang Feng, Chang Feng, are you there?" Mu Rufeng called out in the carriage.
"Are you ready to finish unloading? Okay, it's been over an hour," Chang Feng's figure suddenly appeared in the carriage.
"No rush, I have a question for you. What happens if my unloading time exceeds two hours?" Mu Rufeng asked.
Chang Feng paused for a moment and replied, "If your unloading time exceeds two hours, you will have violated my Rule."
"That will make you my prey, and I can act against you. Moreover, I can use the power of the truck to double my strength."
"Double strength? Can you beat that Tentacle Monster?" Mu Rufeng asked further.
"In a normal Status, I'm no match for him. If he violates the Rule, I can harm him, but not kill him," Chang Feng responded.
"Okay, thanks. I'll finish unloading right before time runs out," Mu Rufeng said.
"Thank you," Chang Feng also said in appreciation.
Mu Rufeng seemed to have figured out, the slower he unloaded, the more power the truck driver could absorb to enhance himself.
And once the two-hour limit was crossed, they could act against the Loader.
"It seems that employees in this abnormal instance world aren't so peaceful after all," Mu Rufeng said with a smile on his face.
If An Lu wanted to play with him, then he would be sure to play along.
The idea of having no space left to place the Scarlet Eyeballs was laughable as if he didn't know he could just drag the Blood Flower Beer back into the truck.
After all, the warehouse did not stipulate that goods couldn't be dragged back.
Even if there was such a Rule, if my goods were improperly stacked, you wouldn't let me re-stack them, would you?
Mu Rufeng looked at the remaining ten Scarlet Eyeballs, placed all the goods onto pallets, and then walked straight out of the truck.
An Lu was still unloading at breakneck speed with his five tentacles.
Around them, a few scattered trucks and staff passed by on the main road in front of the platform.
Seeing Mu Rufeng, they all showed a mixture of curiosity, greed, and a hint of pity in their expressions.
Mu Rufeng took out his phone and started recording these scenes.
In this eerie instance world, since the phone still worked, naturally, he thought of capturing these abnormal happenings.
Whether to keep for memories or present to relevant departments as evidence, all were possible.
Before long, An Lu had taken up all the remaining space with two pallets of goods.
The time had only been forty minutes.
