Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 Receiving Staff Chunni

Mu Rufeng leisurely dragged the goods to An Lu's side.

"Seems like there's still an hour left," Mu Rufeng said with a smile.

"Yeah, just one more hour left," An Lu also said with a smile.

"Aren't you going to hurry up and receive the goods? Once the goods are unloaded, they need to be received by the Receiving Staff within ten minutes. Oh, right, there's no more space is there?" An Lu added.

"Oh, ten minutes, that's still enough time, but... do you still have time to unload the rest of the goods?" Mu Rufeng said, looking toward the inside of the truck.

The truck's cargo area was still enveloped in black fog, which seemed to be visible only to An Lu.

At that moment, An Lu, smiling amiably, waved his hand, and the black fog slowly dispersed.

Quickly, the interior was revealed.

Surprisingly, it was filled with several planks.

Each plank had goods neatly arranged on it and was even wrapped in stretch wrap.

There were two planks in each row, making up five rows in total.

That added up to ten planks.

Seeing this, Mu Rufeng was a bit surprised but then he also understood.

Indeed, this guy wasn't foolish, and he wouldn't really just wait idly here.

He had arranged the goods neatly, and by not dragging the goods out, he also saved a lot of time.

The remaining goods would probably just take around twenty minutes to unload.

That meant, even though seventy minutes had already passed, with the twenty minutes needed to unload, An Lu still had at least twenty minutes to wait.

"You are quite clever," Mu Rufeng smiled, then ceased conversing with An Lu and dragged the goods inside the warehouse.

He didn't waste any time and directly dragged out one plank of Blood Flower Beer and forked in the Scarlet Eyeball.

Then, Mu Rufeng dragged that plank of Blood Flower Beer back, directly entering the Blood Flower Beer truck.

An Lu was slightly surprised seeing this; he never expected Mu Rufeng to actually bring the goods back.

An Lu had worked for so long and had never been bothered by issues of space, so naturally, he hadn't thought in that direction.

Now, he got to witness it.

This way, Mu Rufeng could perfectly secure an unbeatable position.

"He really is a tough nut, oh well, once he's done receiving, I need to hurry up and finish unloading the goods."

An Lu knew there was temporarily nothing he could do about Mu Rufeng and would have to find another opportunity in the future.

After placing the Blood Flower Beer, with a roll of stretch wrap in hand, Mu Rufeng entered deeper into the warehouse.

Before long, Mu Rufeng arrived at the place where the stretch wrap was kept.

Five meters from there was a small table.

There was a notice attached to the small table.

["Please press this button for Receiving Staff to come. Please note, do not press this button unless the goods are unloaded, or else you will bear the consequences!"]

Mu Rufeng immediately pressed the button.

"Huff huff huff~~!"

A chilly wind suddenly blew, and right after, the drawer of the small table opened, a puff of black smoke emerged from it, eventually forming into a woman wearing a red vest.

The woman wasn't very old, around thirty-five at most. She wasn't very beautiful, but not unattractive either.

Printed on the back of the woman's vest were the words 'Receiving Staff.'

"Living person? New staff? Are the goods unloaded?" Receiving Staff looked Mu Rufeng up and down then started to speak.

"Yes, they're all unloaded," Mu Rufeng nodded.

"Where are the goods? Show me," Receiving Staff said.

"Over here," Mu Rufeng quickly led the Receiving Staff to the area where the goods were placed.

"Good, the goods are neatly arranged and not stacked too high. How many planks in total? Where's the delivery note?" Receiving Staff took out a smartphone, fiddled with it, and asked.

"Sister, I can't remember how many planks. Can you count them yourself? Here's the delivery note," Mu Rufeng said, handing the delivery note to the Receiving Staff.

"Huh? You want me to count?" The Receiving Staff's expression darkened.

Suddenly, the Receiving Staff looked slightly startled, pinched the delivery note, covertly opened a corner, and revealed the corner of a banknote.

The amount wasn't large, just a ten-dollar bill. The Receiving Staff discreetly clamped the bill and pocketed it.

"Next time, remember to count. I'll help you count this time," the Receiving Staff said calmly.

"Beautiful lady, I'd really appreciate if you could—slowly—count, and make sure it's accurate," Mu Rufeng deliberately paused on the word 'slowly'.

The Receiving Staff instantly understood, imperceptibly nodded, and then said, "Don't worry, I'll count slowly and make sure it's accurate."

Ten bucks wasn't a lot, but it was easy money.

As a Receiving Staff, she could delay during the receiving process, but it was pointless, she couldn't gain any extra benefit.

The loaders wouldn't care how slow she was, since they were already done unloading.

Now, with Mu Rufeng directly bribing her with ten dollars, that was an unexpected gain, and naturally, she would accommodate.

Time ticked by, second by second.

Soon, ten minutes had passed.

"This is the tenth plank, the eleventh, the twelfth... huh? Did I already count this one?"

"Oh dear, it's all mixed up," the Receiving Staff exclaimed.

"Sister Chunni, no worries, if it's wrong, just count again."

Mu Rufeng followed her closely, occasionally nodding and humming, extremely serious.

"Yeah, Xiao Mu is right, I'll count again," Chunni nodded.

At this moment, An Lu came over with a plank of goods.

"Huh? How long has it been, and it's still not received?" An Lu saw the Receiving Staff was still receiving goods, and his eyebrows furrowed.

"What? Do you have a problem?" Receiving Staff glanced at An Lu and asked.

"His goods have been unloaded for more than ten minutes, right? And they're still not received? I don't even have space to put my goods." An Lu faced the unhappy Receiving Staff without a hint of concession.

"An Lu, Sister Chunni always takes her work very seriously and responsibly, she couldn't possibly make a mistake, it's normal for it to be a bit slow," Mu Rufeng said.

"Hmph, Xiao Mu is right. If there's an error, will you take responsibility?" Chunni's expression darkened, she sniffed and returned to the front to start counting again.

While counting, she made mistakes again, and Chunni had to start over several times, angering the nearby An Lu.

"Hey, what are you doing? If you're not going to receive the goods, just say so. Do you believe I will complain about you?" An Lu suddenly scolded.

"Complain? Sure, go ahead and complain. It might actually get me transferred to a different position; I've had enough of that drawer anyway," Chunni said nonchalantly and continued counting.

"You... you..." An Lu was furious, his five tendrils flailing wildly, quite a horrifying sight.

Unfortunately, An Lu ultimately did not take action.

An Lu forcefully suppressed his anger and said, "Mu Rufeng, can I speak to you privately?"
