After an unknown amount of time, Bruce opened his eyes to find the scene before him had changed dramatically. Just ahead lay a wide lake. From afar, the lake looked like a gleaming mirror, shining brightly under the sun. A breeze blew, swaying layers of sparkling light and shadow. Surrounding the lake was a vast, lush prairie, full of green.

Looking up, Bruce saw rolling mountains in the distance, their peaks wrapped in clouds and mist, like the dwelling place of immortals. After a careful observation, Bruce found no trace of other students.

"It seems the entry points are assigned randomly," Bruce murmured softly.

He took out the map and checked his current location.

"Alright, I'm currently in the southwest of the secret realm. Head northeast, and I can find a Professional Pokémon area."

"But there's no rush now; first, I should level up Combusken and let him reach the Professional level."

It was clear from the start that Bruce's goal was the Professional Pokémon zone. As William had said, "keep a low profile but act with high ambition." With such an excellent leveling opportunity, Bruce intended to make the most of it.

Meanwhile, throughout the Oz Secret Realm, students appeared one after another. After observing their surroundings, they released their Pokémon and set off toward their respective destinations.

Bruce raised his hand and tossed his Pokéball. A white light bloomed, and Combusken appeared beside him with a lively spirit.

"I'll be counting on you this time."

"Combus!" Combusken cried out.

The two set off toward the nearest advanced Pokémon area.

"It's a shame I don't have a mount Pokémon, so I have to travel on my own."

At this moment, a tall, powerful Arcanine or a steel-armored Corviknight that could carry people through the air would have made things much easier.

Located in a novice-level Pokémon area, Bruce trotted all the way without encountering any novice-level Pokémon. His goal was firmly set on the advanced Pokémon area.

About an hour later, Bruce successfully entered the normal-level Pokémon area. He continued to ignore the normal-level Pokémon that appeared, pressing forward with all his heart.

It took nearly half a day before Bruce finally reached the boundary of the advanced Pokémon area.

"I finally understand why field military training lasts seven days…" Bruce laid out a moisture-proof mat, sat down to rest, and complained. "This place is too huge… so vast!"

"The plan to tame a mount Pokémon must proceed."

At this point, the rankings on the monitors had undergone drastic changes, yet Bruce's points remained zero, placing him at the very bottom.

After a short rest, as it was getting late, Bruce stood up and decided it was time to start leveling up.

"Let's go find some prey!" he said.

Bruce and Combusken began searching for wild Pokémon in the dense forest and eventually had the blessing of luck. An advanced Pokémon appeared in sight. The Pokémon was entirely black and gray, with water-blue compound eyes and colorful wings.

[Pokémon: Beautifly (Bug/Flying)

Ability: Swarm

Classification: Gym

Level: Lv26 (Senior)]

"Alright, it looks so beautiful; it must be worth a lot of experience points," Bruce said happily.

Seeing Combusken rush aggressively toward it, Beautifly flapped its colorful wings violently, unleashing a gust of Silver Wind! The seemingly docile Beautifly was actually full of aggression and would attack fiercely if provoked.

The whirlwind roared, heading straight toward Combusken.

"Heat Wave," Bruce ordered with a calm look.

"Combusken!"

Combusken's eyes focused, and it opened its mouth, unleashing a hot breath. The heat wave rolled forward and collided with Silver Wind in the air. Grass clippings flew as the temperature rose.

Boom!

With a resounding explosion, a Flamethrower burst through the black smoke, striking Beautifly's chest! Beautifly shrieked, staggered, and fell directly to the ground, completely incapacitated.

Beautifly, doubly weak to Fire-type moves, had low defense, so it was expected that Combusken would take it down instantly.

Seeing the experience points increase, Bruce beckoned, "Let's go."

Now, facing this level of advanced Pokémon, Combusken no longer found any obstacles.

As he walked through the forest, Bruce pondered important matters.

"Combusken has enjoyed top Breeder resources from the start, and its training and breeding methods are very well-suited. I wonder if he'll be able to overcome the challenge."

The idea was to challenge a Pokémon at the very peak of the advanced level with a recently upgraded Pokémon at the Professional level. It was possible to attempt a level jump, especially since combat strength varied significantly among Pokémon.

However, as combat power increased, challenging higher levels became nearly impossible, as difficult as reaching the heavens.

"Moreover, there are many Trainers in this world with resources and backgrounds no less than mine. The resources they can access aren't any less than mine. Although my leveling is fast, it's hard to widen the gap in other areas."

Bruce recalled William's words.

"When external factors are similar, you must work from other angles, such as a more meticulous breeding method or tougher training routines."

"Many Trainers will venture into secret, perilous places, challenging their physical limits in cruel environments, constantly shifting between life and death."

Just like a Magikarp leaping over the dragon's gate, the Magikarp kept challenging its limits while swimming upstream to master the waterfall.

That is to say, using one's weak body to challenge nature. In this process, spiritual will, energy, and even life force fluctuated dramatically. A failed challenge could lead to severe injury or even devastation. But if the challenge succeeded, it would leap over the dragon's gate, pushing the level of life to new heights.

"When Combusken reaches his final form and his bones mature, we'll start similar training," Bruce thought.

He also had another idea: using Psychic powers to create a Gravity Training Room.

The so-called gravity training room could control the gravitational force over a specific area, covering all aspects of the body and achieving the effect of greatly enhancing physical condition. However, it was nearly impossible to achieve this effect with conventional technology.

The reason Bruce thought of this idea was because of his increasing psychic power.

"But no rush—I need to study relevant knowledge first and then try to create a gravity training room." Bruce's eyes gleamed slightly, and he muttered softly. "But before the Gravity Training Room, I could try adding weights for Combusken and Metagross."

Countless thoughts passed through his mind, and suddenly Bruce's eyes lit up as he whispered, "Yes, points."

He took out his monitor to check his points and ranking.

[Bruce Bayne, 100 points, Rank 216]

"Not bad," Bruce murmured upon seeing this.

Compared to others, he took much longer to start acting, and his points should be comparable to the rest.

But from what Bruce knew, there were over 800 first-year students in this class, and he only defeated one Pokémon to rise in the rankings. This indicated that very few first-year students had advanced Pokémon!

"Defeating novice-level Pokémon yields 5 points, normal-level 20 points, senior-level 100 points, and an astounding 500 points for Professional level." Bruce read the information out loud.

"No wonder the class teacher mentioned that a senior once tried defeating a Professional Pokémon with traps…"

"The difference between senior and Professional level is too vast…" he mused.

Now that he thought about it, advancing a Pokémon to the Veteran level was already impressive, let alone reaching Professional…

"I forgot to ask beforehand what the highest score in previous sessions was…"

"When Combusken reaches Professional level, the Professional Pokémon zones will have the most impact ever."

By then, Bruce's points should be quite terrifying.

"Dad, I did what you said, making a high-profile move."

Meanwhile, Bruce noticed the top two places on the leaderboard.

[Bin Dragneel, with 540 points, Rank 1]

[Azalea Percovich, 500 points, Rank 2]

The third place below them had only 300 points, a huge gap from the top two, indicating a clear difference.

"Five hundred points in half a day. These two must have advanced Pokémon, though I don't know their identities," Bruce speculated.

"Combusken!"

Just as he was lost in thought, Combusken beside him let out a warning cry, snapping him out of it.

Bruce looked up and saw that the ground not far away was bulging and trembling slightly, as if a giant was moving underground.

"Use Brick Break on the ground," Bruce commanded decisively.

"Combus!"

As soon as he spoke, Combusken raised his right hand, which glowed with a bright white light, forming a sharp edge that struck the ground.

Boom!

In the next moment, the ground shattered, rocks cracked, and a large fissure opened before Combusken.

"Huh!"

Suddenly, a terrifying roar echoed, deafening, causing leaves to fall and all nearby Pokémon to scatter.

The roar traveled far and wide. Not too far away, a student directing his Pokémon froze in place, eyes wide with shock.

Bruce looked up and saw the massive figure before him, towering high and blocking the sky.

Rocks were interconnected like a giant serpent, the hard body gleaming with rocky texture and ferocity.

"Roooar!"

It raised its head and roared, then looked at Bruce with cold eyes, baring its teeth in a menacing smile.

Bruce raised an eyebrow and realized he had finally encountered a true challenge.
