Chapter 24 - Chamber Of Hell (2)

The trio kept attacking the tyrant relentlessly as Eclair made water spikes with her water magic as she tried piercing through the snakes thick armor.

Ryan and Gabrielle continued to attack the snake, landing several sword slashing on it. Gabrielle sent it flying to the ground several times with series of blows.

Even after all these, their efforts proved feeble. Ryan gritted his teeth as he furrowed his brows. He charged towards the tyrant at great speed as he struck it with all his might, leveling the creature down to the floor.

Ryan had managed to leave a small crack on the snake, making a small part of the armor fade away.

Ryan saw that he had managed to crack open a small part of the snakes armour. He let out a slight grin. He charged foward at the creature again, aiming for the same spot as he was taken unaware, as the snake sent him flying back.

Ryan dug his sword deep into the ground minimizing the impact.

The sword, effortlessly slid through the ground splitting it in half.

Ryan retrieved his sword out of the ground. He looked at the creature with confusion and anger in his eyes.

The snake was getting more furious as it stood tall spraying poison acid all over. The trio were quick to sidestep it's attack as the poison melted down into the ground.

Ryan noticed the purple acid-like substance as it melted down into the ground, releasing a toxic gas into the atmosphere.

'One took of that and it's over' Ryan had to be cautious with his next attack. He tried figuring out a way to land a blow on the open spot of the tough armour.

Eclair continued to dodge the Tyrant's attack as she shielded herself with forest magic, creating a vine wall. But that proved ineffective as the poison acid slowly melted through her defense.

Gabrielle tried landing a blow on the creature, but was sent back with a swift swing if it's tail.

They were now in a tight corner. The tyrant gave no chance for the trio to attack. It moved towards them, slithering with great speed as he opened its large mouth, revealing monstrous fangs as they dripped poison.

The trio quickly, leaped out of the way, making the tyrant crashed it's fangs into the wall, melting it.

It quickly returned to the offensive as it stuck Ryan down into the ground. The impact created another crater around Ryan. The tyrant didn't seem to be interested in Gabrielle and Eclair as it considered Ryan it's only enemy for cracking it's precious scales.

Ryan noticed this as he kept it busy and told Gabrielle to attack it from behind.

Gabrielle clenched her sword tightly as she leaped unto the creature's back, drilling her sword deep into the open space Ryan had previously made.

The tyrant wailed greatly as Gabrielle continued to dig her sword deeper into the snake.

It shifted it's focus from Ryan and unto the figure on its back. It shock it's body vigorously as it tried shaking Gabrielle off it's back.

Gabrielle was quick to jump off as she retrieved her sword.

Eclair was the next to attack as she took on her transformation. A magical green light enveloped her, slowly, she changed into her dragon form.

Eclair flew up into the air as she gripped the Tyrant's neck with her claws. She clawed against the Tyrant's face, removing parts of it's scales. The Tyrant wrapped it's body around her neck attempting to strangle her. But she didn't give up so easily. She continued her attack bitting the creature's neck as she removed more of it's scales.

Ryan watched the gruesome scene unfolding before him. He watched as the two battled each other. Though Eclair was a bit smaller in terms of size, her willpower and strength weighed heavily on the Tyrant.

It was a battle between monsters. Though Eclair was exhausted having been trapped in the Dungeon for months, she managed to inflict severe damage on the Tyrant.

But the battle was over quickly as the tyrant dug it's fangs in her neck, releasing it's deadly poison into her. In a desperate attempt to escape free from Eclair, it slammed its body against the wall as Eclair fell down to the ground. She transformed back as she was severely wounded.

Ryan and Gabrielle rushed to check on her. She laid there helplessly as she continued to cough up blood.

Gabrielle tried covering her wounds with a piece of her clothes, attempting stop the blood flow.

Slowly, she regained consciousness as struggled to move.

"Stay still, don't move" Gabrielle said as she stopped her from making any unnecessary movements.

Ryan's anger continued to boil seeing Eclair covered in blood.

He glanced at the Tyrant still wailing from Eclair's attacks. He clenched his sword tightly, channeling aura to the blade in hand.

With great speed he charged foward at the beast, attacking the open area of the creature.

His blade made a severe blow on the creature, sending it back flying.

The anger within Ryan continued to boil as he continued to land several sword attacks. Though his attacks were not severe, it still inflicted great pain on the Tyrant.

The plan they had previously discussed has been thwarted already. Ryan had only himself to rely on.

The Tyrant was getting annoyed by his feeble attacks. It used it's tail to land a blow on Ryan, but Ryan quickly caught sight of the attack and managed to evade it.

The creature suddenly started mutating as it parts of it's body began to tear open.

Ryan and Gabrielle watched in shock at what was unfolding before them. Ryan had read about mutating Tyrants, but they appeared later in the novel.

'It's too soon' Ryan knew that a Tyrant's mutation was not something to be messed with, as that was they had reached the peak of their power.

Mutations, though rare a very powerful. These abominations feed not only on negative mana but also on positive mana too, converting it to a dark power source.

As the Tyrant transformed, it grew taller and larger. Ryan knew that this was going to be a challenge for him. If he wasn't able to land a severe blow on it before mutation, it would be next to impossible to attack after mutation.

Ryan thought about what to do. The creature seemed to have lost its scales during mutation, leaving it vulnerable.

Ryan noticed this as glanced at the hideous figure in front of him.

Though, it would be hard to land a blow on it, he had a chance, and that was enough for Ryan.

It was now a fair fight between the two as the tyrant had lost most of it's protection, leaving it open. The odds of this battle were now in his favor.
