With a new turn out of events, Ryan now had the upper hand in this battle, or so he thought.
He launched a fierce attack at the Tyrant, but he attacked was easily sidestepped by the monster.
Ryan knew that it wasn't going to be easy, but he wasn't going to give up.
He channeled mana to his Obsidian Blade, making glow a bright light. He charged foward again at lighting speed, as tries landing an attack on the tyrant but it quickly dodged it.
Tyrants were just like monsters and demons with one goal; to kill and destroy. But the only variation was that Tyrants had the ability to think, making them a formidable foe.
A demon that doesn't have the ability to think for itself would keep on fighting to the death, as it would think every opponent is at the same power level with it.
Tyrants on the other hand had the ability to determine the power level of their opponents, knowing how to tackle them.
Ryan was a bit amazed at how well it could think for itself, evading all his attacks. But he kept on attacking.
The Tyrant soon turned to the offensive as it sent Ryan flying back with a thrust of it's hand.
Gabrielle who watched the battle, was worried about Ryan, but more worried that they would not make it out alive. She was slowly succumbing to the darkness.
Ryan was quick to stop his fall as he leaped on several stones, landing perfectly on the ground.
'It seems to be reading my moves' Ryan thought as he recalled how the Tyrant swiftly evaded all his previous attacks.
The tyrant soon grew wild as it released multiple spikes from it's body. Each spike being able to pierce a hole through the hardest stones.
Gabrielle who was busy attending to Eclair's wounds had failed to realize to spike coming towards her.
Ryan noticed this as he created a bullet made of mana and shot it at the huge spike, breaking it into multiple pieces.
It charged forward at Ryan, forgetting that they were other contestants in the chamber.
Ryan was glad that he was able to draw it's attention towards him, but his joy son faded away as he thought of a way to strike the creature without getting killed in the process.
At that moments Ryan wished he had another skill that would enable him to at least launch an attack on the tyrant.
Just in that moment a metallic chime rang in his head as a screen notification popped up.
"Ding!!"
[The Gods have heard your request.
You have been granted a new skill.
Do you wish to accept?]
"Yes" Ryan said.
[Congratulations! You have been granted a new skill.

Skill Description:This skill allows you to summon lighting, wielding it in any way you please. The user can summon lighting from anywhere in the Four Dimensions. It allows users to break through any type of armor or shield. It is known as one of the Seven Great Skills.]
Ryan was shocked at his skill information. If he'd remember correctly, it was the skill of the MC of the novel.
Lightning; it was said to be one of the skills of the First Great Beings passed down unto gods. It was truly a formidable power if one could master it's full potential.
The Lightning Skill was one of the rarest skill in the entire novel, giving the MC the ability to destroy his enemies in one go off his hand.
Ryan held a devilish grin on his face as he glanced at the monster charging at him.
He activated his skill as he summoned lighting out of nowhere striking the monster down to the ground.
Gabrielle was bewildered by what had just happened. She was shocked that Ryan had another skill, the Lightning skill for that matter. No one since skill started appearing had ever been granted two skills. She began to question whether the Ryan before her was the same as the one she knew in the past.
Ryan just smirked as he looked at the creature lying almost out of life on the ground. How was amazed how powerful his new skill was.
The creature groaned in pain as it had sustained several injuries. It stood up back as it let out a ferocious roar.
"ROAAAARRRR!!!!!!"
Ryan knew that the tyrant wasn't going to give up so easily. He wasn't expecting a Tyrant to be taken down by that little attack.
Suddenly, a wide grin appeared on his face as he would get to experiment with his newfound powers.
The Tyrant charged foward at Ryan, with anger in his eyes. It moved with great speed as tried trampling on him.
Ryan stretched out his hand as he created spears made out of Lightning. He shot them at the monster. His attacks moved with the speed of light as they pierced through the tyrant, making it bleed severely.
Ryan was enjoying the sight before him. The tyrant laid on the floor as it groaned in pain.
The attack Ryan had previously landed on it had made it even more furious.
Ryan was busy admiring his newly found power, not noticing the rampaging beast toward him.
He quickly sidestepped the Tyrant's attack, as the creature began covering itself in a purple substance.
Ryan wondered if the substance was poison? His suspicion was correct as it dripped from the body of the beast unto the ground, melting it instantly.
Ryan knew that he would not be able to land straight attacks anymore as the poison prevented him from going and further.
He wasn't fazed by this new obstacle, as he knew that it would only be a matter of time before he basks in the aftermath of the Tyrant's dead corpse.
He made several swords out of Lightning as he sent them towards the beast.
The attack seemed to lessen a bit.
'So the poison acts as an armor, eh?'
Though Ryan's attack had managed to get to the Tyrant, it's damaging force seemed to have been reduced.
A wide grin appeared on Ryan's face as he charged foward at the Tyrant with blinding speed.
The real battle starts now!.
