Somewhere in the Chaos Realm,
Faraway among the void, there stands a towering pagoda surrounded by myriad of suns and moons.
The Towering Pagoda was refined from Ancient Black Gold, a divine material that only existed between Nothingness and the beginning of time.
This pagoda stood high above the countless galaxies, its top touching the very surface of the myriad cosmos.
The Black Gold Pagoda could be seen to be alternating between light and darkness due to the reflection of myriads of suns and moons shinning on it.
Within the pagoda lay a simple meditation cushion, a table, and a throne carved from Ancient Divine Wood, another divine material known for its unparalleled toughness due to it surviving the tribulation of the Cosmos when the universe was created.
Seated upon the wooden throne was an elder, his face was hidden behind the hood of his robe. His beard danced freely in the air around him.
His presence exuded an air of the Ruler as if he was both a protector and the controller of fate.
Before him was a chessboard on the ancient divine table, its surface shining while reflecting the flickering lights of the cosmos and the life contained within the universes.
He gazed at it intently, sighing in between as if he was sensing an impending calamity that was about to descend onto the universes.
Each chess piece on the board was meticulously crafted, representing not just mere pawns and knights but the very essence of the Dao Paths that existed in the universe—light and dark, creation and destruction, hope and despair.
He clinked his fingers, deep in thought, as if trying to deduce the fate of the myriad universes.
He seemed to be seeing countless futures, but none of them seemed to positive to him.
Finally, he let out a sigh, exhaling softly.
Opposite him stood a dwarf-sized man who looked around 5 years old. He was dressed in an ancient robe.
"Did you succeed?" asked the dwarf-sized young man.
The elder sighed and said, "No.
"Was it predestined or is someone busy manipulating it behind the scenes?" asked the dwarf-sized young man.
"There don't seem to be any signs of manipulation, but I think someone is indeed manipulating a web of chaos in the dark or has already sown the seeds of darkness, but I'm unable to locate the place where it might unfold," sighed the Elder.
"We've already wasted Ten Eras, and we don't have any more time; you should have guessed it already, right? He will awaken soon!?" said the dwarf-sized young man anxiously.
The Young Man, although he looked like a little child, had eyes as deep as ancients, as if he had seen countless births and deaths of the cosmos.
He was dressed in an ancient robe, his face hidden behind a golden-coloured mark, and his robe had the marking of a Black Pagoda, signifying that he was a leader of a powerful organization.
"Is the destined one sure to emerge in a million years?" the dwarf-sized young man asked concernedly.
"Who knows?,
During the end of the Eight Era, The Divine Compass predicted that a destined one would appear and end it all, but the Ten Era's have already gone by without any sight of the destined one.
The Divine Compass has already lost his ability, and now he cannot divine again unless he sacrifices a universe, sighed the Elder.
"Wait! What? If a single universe's sacrifice can let him divine the saviour, then why haven't you proceeded with that? Exclaimed the dwarf-sized man.
"That's the problem!
What if the Savior was about to be born in the universe we sacrificed? The elder sighed.
Then he glanced at the chess pieces and leaned towards them.
The chess pieces were made from the cores of dead universes that were destroyed in the previous eras.
At last, he exhaled gently; his breath, which carried the weight of the universe itself, fell on the chessboard.
*Boom*
In an instant, all the chess pieces exploded in a flash of light, vanishing into the void, leaving just one solitary piece on the board—a dark horse that was crafted from ordinary wood.
The dark horse stood alone on the broken chessboard as if supporting Heaven and Earth on his back.
A slight smile escaped the elder's face seeing this.
Then, with a motion of his hands, a shiny golden crystal, crafted from ancient black gold and infused with an Imperial Dao Soul, materialized in his hand and then he cast it away into the endless expanse of the cosmos.
"The fate of this universe now rests in your hands," he sighed, and in an instant, the black golden pagoda vanished, as though it had never been part of time itself.
The dwarf-sized young man seeing him erase all his tracks as if afraid of being discovered sighed, and he too stepped into the cosmos, walking towards the unknown.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the Immortal Realm,
A young prodigy found a shiny golden crystal in the Fallen God's Mountain and acquired the legacy within after which he cut down gods, buddhas and Devils alike. He ran rampart through heaven and hell, terrified his enemies into pissing themselves upon just hearing his name and was known as Star Emperor after he ascended towards the Chaos Realm but this is a story for another time.
