Chapter 2 - Chapter 1-Jun Xiao

Earth Star, Kunlun Mountain, Shaolin Temple-

The weather on Blue Star was a little hot today.

The wind speed seemed moderate, but the sun's rays were a little harmful.

People could be seen sweating on the streets while rushing due to heat and the city was full of hustle and bustle.

Somewhere in the depths of Kunlun Mountain there stood tall pagodas made from oak and coloured golden. On the entrance gate the words, "Shaolin Temple", were engraved on a wooden plank.

A mysterious intent could be felt from the words as if a mighty had craved those words.

The Shaolin Temple was known as Martial Arts Heaven and thus the place where people came to learn martial arts in hopes of becoming warriors and upgrading their life.

On a training ground, two people were fighting fiercely.

One wore a black golden Gi while the other person who was a ft. Taller than the other wore an orange gi.

The Black Golden Gi guy lunged first, rushing forward with a swift jab aimed at the Orange Gi guy's stomach.

The one who wore black golden gi was Jun Xiao and the one in Ornage Gi was called Li Wei.

Li Wei sidestepped and countered with a hook to Jun Xiao's ribs.

The blow landed with a thud, but Jun Xiao absorbed it, swinging to deflect the next strike with his forearm.

They circled each other, their eyes locked, observing the next move of the other.

Suddendly, Jun Xiao smirked and feinted left, drawing Li Wei's guard up, then aimed a low kick at Li Wei's knee.

Li Wei jumped, but narrowly escaped the sweep, and retaliated with an axe kick aiming at Jun Xiao's head.

Jun Xiao swiftly stepped back, feeling the rush of wind as he dodged Li Wei's axe kick.

He then took the opportunity and sent a powerful strike to Li Wei's shoulder.

The impact sent Li Wei stumbling back, but he quickly regained his balance, a smirk ecthed on his face.

The two exchanged a flurry of strikes—punches, kicks, and grapples—each move met with a counter, their bodies filled with sweat.

Jun Xiao feigned exhaustion, drawing Li Wei in closer, then suddenly swept his leg, knocking Li Wei off his feet.

As Li Wei hit the ground, he rolled and sprang back up, a grin of respect spreading across his face. "Not bad, Senior Brother," he said.

"Junior Brother, let's take a break for five minutes,"  said Jun Xiao to Li Wei.

Li Wei was the first disciple of the Shaolin Elder while Jun Xiao was the head disciple.

Li Wei came from a great clan of Sun and Moon City, The Li Clan. Jun Xiao was abandoned just after being born and left in the wild.

The Shaolin Abbot Kun Le, who was exploring the wilds in search of enlightenment, found little Jun Xiao, who was in swaddles crying and picked him up, bringing him to Shaolin Temple to raise him.

Since then, Jun Xiao has been living in the Shaolin Temple.

When he was 5 years old, he started training in martial arts and made rapid progress.

He had also learned "Dragon Subduing Palm,"  the core martial art of Shaolin Temple.

He was also known as the young leader of the Shaolin Temple, as he was the disciple of Abott Kun Le.

His status in the temple was also just below the Abott.

"Senior brother, you have advanced again,"  replied Li Wei wiping the sweat on his forehead.

"You should train hard or else you won't be able to spar with me again,"  replied Jun Xiao, lying on the training ground looking at the sky.

"Young Leader, the Abbott is calling for you,"  a man called, walking towards Jun Xiao.

"Coming,"  Jun Xiao replied, jumped up on his legs, and started walking towards the Center Pagoda.

There were 4 main pagodas in the Shaolin Temple.

The Blacksmith Pagoda, where you could always hear sounds of hammer and steel hitting each other as if engaged in a passionate romance.

The Martial Pagoda was where Martial Arts Scriptures were stored and was also the most visited pagoda for people who wanted to learn martial arts.

It was always crowded with people after the emergence of Dungeons.

100 Years ago, Dungeons suddenly appeared around the world destroying nearly 60% of the world. It was during that archaic times that brave warriors rose and The Shaolin Temple also gained the greatest glory in the fight against monsters.

They were one of the top 3 Sects of the world safeguarding Blue Star against the threat of dungeons.

The Enlightenment Pagoda was situated on the cliff of a mountain surrounded by lush trees covering the sun shrouding the pagoda in darkness about 10 kilometers away from the other Pagodas.

There people would meditate and chant scriptures day and night.

Those from the Enlightenment Pagoda were called Nerds who would busy themselves with studies and gain Enlightenment.

The Alchemy Pagoda was the last and also the second most successful after Martial Pagoda.

They were deeply engrossed in researching ancient pill formulas and restoring the glory of Alchemy due to the rise in the field of modern medicines and monsters.

As scenery changed, Jun Xiao arrived near the Martial Pagoda.

"Young Leader, The Abbott is waiting for you inside", said a man who had done a blue-coloured training uniform.

He stood 6 feet tall with muscles oozing out of his body. His name was Meng Shan and he was the unofficial disciple of Kun Le.

"Yes,", replied Jun Xiao as he opened the door of the Martial Pagoda.

The pagoda was golden-coloured with drawings of phoenixes and dragons engraved on its door. The pagoda was made from a Divine Metal that didn't exist in this era anymore.

The pagoda could easily endure attacks of a Rank 10 Martial Saint.

In the past, a few people tried to attack the Martial Pagoda to steal the scriptures but were unsuccessful in breaking the door.

Later on, the previous Abbott took action and killed everyone who was involved in the plan to steal scriptures.

That day blood fell like rain from the heavens drying the organisations in red due to which the other sects and clans that were planning to target Shaolin Temple stopped due to fear of getting themselves mascarred by the Previous Abott who gained the nickname of "The Slaughtering Buddha".

As Jun Xiao entered the Hall, he saw various statues as tall as 12 12-storey buildings lined up towards Abbott's Hall. The Abbott who was meditating on a cushion opened his eyes when he sensed Jun Xiao walking towards him.

As Jun Xiao approached the Abbott, he looked at his master who seemed to be meditating.

The Abbott sitting on the cushion seemed like a peaceful grandpa but when he was engaged he would become a mascaring Buddha.

The Abbott had wore a necklace made of beads around his neck that glowed. They were one of the only 6 Rank 10 Mystic Treasure: Mind Cleansing Beads.

They had a miraculous effect of calming the mind no matter the situation.

"Greetings, Master", Jun Xiao bowed.

The Abbott observed Jun Xiao for a minute and laughed happily, "Good, Good, Good! You have finally advanced."

"It's all because of your teachings, Master", Jun Xiao replied humbily.

"All I did was just guide you, It's because of the work that you have put in that you could reach this level at your tender age", Kun Le replied.

He was genuinely happy for his disciple who had broken through Rank 9 and finally became a High-Level Martial King.

After the emergence of Dungeons, the general people were divided into two categories; Warriors and Non-Warriors.

Warriors were people who fought inside the dungeon and cleared it.

While Non-Warriors were those who couldn't become warriors and thus had to live a normal life.

Unlike Non-Warriors, as warriors got stronger they discovered that changes in their life level also increased their life level thus giving them a longer life.

It wouldn't be any weird if you could find someone that was thousands of years old. Thus, the competition to become a warrior increased.

The Warriors were divided into 10 Ranks currently:

Rank1- Entry Level Apprentice Warrior

Rank 2- Mid-Level Apprentic Warrior

Rank 3- High-Level Martial Warrior

Rank 4- Entry Level Martial Soldier

Rank 5- Mid-Level Martial Soldier

Rank 6- High-Level Martial Soldier

Rank 7- Entry Level Martial King

Rank 8- Mid Level Martial King

Rank 9- High Level Martial King

Rank 10- Martial Saint.

The strongest warriors on Blue Star were Rank 10 Martial Saints.

The Shaolin Temple alone had abundant disciples ranging from Rank 1 to Rank 6.

Those in higher ranks consisted of  6 Rank 10 Martial Saints including Abbott Kun Le signifying how terrifying Shaolin Temple was.

"Was there any matter, Master?", Jun Xiao asked.

"Oh Yes!! A Ten Star Dungeon was found in the Prophecy Province, a region under yhe Prophecy Clan. Go and clear it since you have become a High Level Martial King now.", Kun Le said moving his hands and displaying the situation using a holographic device.

Inside the device, scenes of ruined land could be seen.

Lava was being spewed out of the earth, the buildings were destroyed, catastrophic red, blue light was flickering in the sky displaying an ominous atmosphere.

This was a phenomenon you could see in almost any appearance of a dungeon above the rating of Nine Stars.

Till now Nine Ten Star dungeons have been discovered by humanity.

The appearance of a Dungeon above Nine star was rare but everytime it appeared disasters would occur.

Although the danger was high, the warriors who were successful in exploring became rich overnight.

They discovered countless knowledge and techniques that were lost since ancient times.

Thus, every time a dungeon above a Nine star rating appeared everyone would go crazy and start exploring it in hopes of finding stronger inheritance or mystical pills.
