Chapter 15: Su Yu, 1V100!
Su Yu was standing in the midst of chaos, but he didn't pause. The players around him were still reeling from the shock of what they had just witnessed. But without explaining anything, Su Yu pressed forward.
**Lightning Arrows**
With each wave of his staff, a **Lightning Arrow** shot out every 0.5 seconds, piercing the ranks of the Emperor Blood Guild.
The guild's core members—Sky Dragon, Giant God Soldier, Wing God Dragon—had been shining in the battle only moments before. Yet under Su Yu's relentless barrage, they crumbled like paper, each falling in a flash of white light as they were sent offline, no longer part of the fight.
Su Yu soon realized that his pace was too slow. Despite the elite members falling rapidly, there were still eighty or ninety enemies left. Deciding to speed things up, he switched tactics. His right hand continued to cast **Lightning Arrows**, while his left hand began tearing open **Fireball Scrolls**, launching fiery projectiles into the fray.
Thunder and fire filled the battlefield. White light after white light illuminated the area as the Emperor Blood Guild's ranks were torn apart.
Su Yu's presence alone caused more casualties than the combined efforts of over 200 players who had fought before him!
Among the onlookers, some recognized the magic scroll Su Yu was using. Shock spread as one player cried out, "That's the **Fireball Scroll** from the magic hut! It costs 50 psionic coins each!"
"50 psionic coins?!" another gasped.
"Man, I was thrilled when I got 2 psionic coins from a quest! And he's using scrolls that cost 50 coins each?"
"Is he even human? There's no way he's a regular player. Maybe he's an NPC pretending to be a player?"
The crowd murmured, eyes wide in disbelief, trying to grasp how one player could afford such a luxury.
Su Yu's magical onslaught continued. In mere moments, another dozen members of the Emperor Blood Guild fell, leaving around seventy or eighty players still standing. Among them were archers and magicians who had yet to be targeted. One of the archers snapped back to reality, shouting, "He's only one guy! Focus all fire on him!"
In an instant, dozens of magic bullets and arrows flew toward Su Yu.
But he didn't flinch. Calmly, he drank a bottle of **Elementary Intelligence Potion** and activated his **Ice Shield**. The attacks struck him, but their impact was minimal.
**1—1—1**
With his 28 defense, the spell power and attack strength of the enemy players, which hovered around 10 points, barely made a dent in his shield. Even standing still, Su Yu's **Ice Shield**, now boasting a 160-point shield value thanks to the potion, easily withstood the barrage. They wouldn't break through it in half a minute, let alone harm Su Yu.
Having endured the focused fire, Su Yu turned his attention to the ranged attackers.
**Lightning Arrow**
**Fireball**
Each spell found its mark, cutting down another enemy.
The Emperor Blood Guild's numbers quickly dwindled. Their ranged attackers, in particular, became his priority targets.
**80—60—40**
In just over twenty seconds, most of the guild members were slain, with their attempts at counterattacking barely scratching Su Yu's **Ice Shield**. Despair began to spread through the Emperor Blood Guild as their members fell, and the priests could do little more than watch helplessly, unable to keep up with the damage being dealt to their comrades.
Who was this player? How had he become so strong? They had been playing for barely three hours, yet Su Yu was cutting them down as if they were mere fodder.
When the number of remaining players dropped to thirty, the survivors gave up. Their eyes—once filled with confidence—were now filled with bewilderment, confusion, and disbelief as they stared at Su Yu.
Noticing that they had stopped resisting, Su Yu paused.
In **Evolution**, killing another player didn't give you a red name, and there was no penalty for it. However, the player who died would have their game time forcibly reduced and could even be banned if they failed to complete certain tasks. The game's unique mechanic of "driving players to leave" was a significant part of its appeal.
Now, with around 200 ordinary players standing behind him, all staring at him in shock, Su Yu knew he needed to say something to defuse the situation. He turned and addressed the crowd:
"Don't be alarmed! My damage is high because I just completed a hidden quest. An NPC gave me a buff, and the scrolls I used were part of the quest rewards. If you complete more hidden quests, you'll have opportunities like this too."
Su Yu's explanation was crafted carefully. He didn't want the ordinary players to remember him too well. Otherwise, the constant attention would become bothersome, with players watching him every time he logged in.
His story worked. The players, still stunned, began nodding in understanding.
"Oh, so it's a hidden quest buff. Makes sense now."
"I was wondering! There's no way a single player could 1V100 without some kind of boost. Game balance wouldn't allow it."
"Hidden quests are this powerful? I need to find one!"
"But man, you really helped us out! Those Zhantian Guild scum needed to be taught a lesson!"
The crowd erupted into discussion.
Clapping his hands to gather their attention, Su Yu continued, "Remember, don't be afraid of the Zhantian Guild! Big guilds must pay the price when they act out of line."
"How about this? Let's all go to the official forums and report them. Let's make sure they know we ordinary players won't be pushed around!"
His words sparked excitement in the crowd.
"He's right! We can't let them get away with this!"
"Exactly! If they're acting this way now, imagine how bad things will get in the future."
"Let's go! I'll head to the forums right now. I've never backed down from a good online argument!"
"I recorded the entire fight! I'm posting the video on the forums. Everyone back me up with likes and comments!"
"Definitely!"
"Count on us!"
After successfully rallying the players, Su Yu slipped away from the crowd unnoticed. He had done his part in standing against the Zhantian Guild. Now it was time to move on.
Su Yu made his way to the magic hut, purchased enough supplies from the old magician, and then logged off for the day.
Back in reality, the interface on his game helmet displayed a cooldown: "12 hours remaining before you can log in again."
Sighing, Su Yu removed the helmet and stretched, warming up his body and adjusting the temperature of his air conditioner. Afterward, he ordered some takeout.
While waiting for the food, Su Yu turned to his browser and began searching for news related to UFOs or alien sightings. According to his knowledge, the Skrull vanguard had likely already arrived on Earth, and someone should have seen their spaceships by now.
But after 20 minutes of searching, he found nothing. The government's internet surveillance in 2120 was strict, and such information was likely being heavily censored.
Just then, his takeout arrived.
Su Yu grabbed his food, opened the official forums of **Evolution**, and began browsing. He was curious to see if the players he had rallied had indeed gone to denounce the Zhantian Guild and whether it had made any impact.
