### Chapter 2:Lottery. Legendary Bloodline !
After half an hour, Su Yu arrived back at his modest rental apartment, eagerly connecting his game helmet to the power supply. The helmet was similar to a laptop in that without being plugged in, it would only function for a couple of hours. For long-term play, it had to remain connected.
"I've hit the jackpot this time! Not only did I get tens of billions of psionic resources, but I also weakened the Skrulls!" Su Yu thought, a grin spreading across his face as he donned the helmet and entered the world of *Evolution*.
After a stunning intro cinematic, Su Yu found himself in an ancient temple. The temple walls were covered in intricate, glowing runes, and at its center stood a massive sword, towering over him. This was *Evolution*'s login interface.
"Welcome to *Evolution*, adventurer," came the game's usual prompt, but this time the tone was uncharacteristically deferential. "It has been detected that you have absorbed 10 billion psionic points. Would you like to convert them into psionic coins?"
The shift in tone was almost amusing to Su Yu. He was used to the cold, robotic voice of the game, but now it sounded almost...respectful.
"Convert them all," he responded.
"Ding! Conversion successful. You now have 10 billion psionic coins!"
Su Yu stared at the figure displayed in the corner of the interface—10 billion psionic coins. Even with all his knowledge from his previous life, he couldn't help but be overwhelmed for a moment. Psionic coins were the main currency in *Evolution*, and at the game's launch, the exchange rate between psionic coins and flower coins (the standard currency outside the game) was roughly 1:10. The value of psionic coins remained high even as the game progressed, with prices staying above 10:1.
"If I exchanged all of these now," Su Yu thought, his throat suddenly dry, "I'd be a billionaire in the real world."
But his daydream was quickly interrupted by the next game prompt.
"Please select your class."
In front of the giant sword, seven class phantoms materialized, each one performing an elaborate display of their unique abilities.
**"Warrior, master of strength and might."**
**"Mage, wielder of arcane power."**
**"Assassin, the shadow's blade."**
**"Priest, bearer of divine faith."**
**"Paladin, the righteous shield."**
**"Archer, master of precision and flight."**
**"Druid, protector of nature's balance."**
Each phantom wore impressive, high-level gear, their skills and abilities on full display in the open space of the temple. Su Yu, with his knowledge of the game, could immediately recognize that the gear these avatars wore was at least of [Epic] quality—this was no exaggeration.
"I'll go with Mage," Su Yu decided.
While Mages were notoriously difficult to level in the early game due to their limited mana pool and slow casting times, Su Yu had a clear advantage. With tens of billions of psionic coins at his disposal, any shortcomings could easily be solved with enough resources. Moreover, Mages scaled exceptionally well with investment, becoming devastatingly powerful in the later stages of the game.
"Ding! You have chosen the Mage class. Please name your character."
Su Yu paused. "What should I call myself?"
"Skrull Destroyer?" No, that was too blatant and would definitely raise suspicion from the governments monitoring the game. After all, only top officials knew about the Skrulls.
"Let's go with 'Nemesis,'" Su Yu finally decided.
"Character name confirmed. You've earned a random [Bloodline] draw. Would you like to proceed?"
"Yes."
"Ding! Congratulations, you have obtained the common [Forest Elf Bloodline] (Increases spell power by 5% in forest environments). Would you like to spend 10 psionic coins to redraw?"
"Redraw," Su Yu answered immediately.
Bloodlines in *Evolution* were categorized by rarity: Common (White), Uncommon (Green), Rare (Blue), Epic (Purple), and Legendary (Orange). With billions of psionic coins at his disposal, Su Yu had no intention of settling for anything less than Legendary.
"Ding! Congratulations, you have obtained the rare [Troll Chieftain Bloodline]. Would you like to spend 100 psionic coins to redraw?"
"Redraw."
"Ding! Congratulations, you have obtained the uncommon [Frost Naga Bloodline]."
"Ding! Congratulations, you have obtained the epic [Storm Dragon Bloodline]."
With each redraw, the cost multiplied by ten. Eventually, Su Yu was burning through 10 million psionic coins with every click. Thankfully, after reaching this threshold, the cost stopped increasing.
"Goodbye, luxury villa in the capital. Let's draw again."
"Farewell, ten sports cars. Redraw."
Su Yu was relentless, continuing to draw without hesitation. To him, money and material wealth were meaningless if he couldn't survive the coming invasion. What he needed was power—true, overwhelming power.
Finally, after over 200 attempts and the consumption of more than 2 billion psionic coins, the temple was filled with a radiant golden light.
"Ding! Congratulations, you have obtained the Legendary [Star Bloodline]!"
"Finally! I really am lucky," Su Yu laughed, wiping the sweat from his brow.
From his knowledge of the future, Su Yu knew that Legendary Bloodlines were exceedingly rare. Out of the billions of people who had entered the game in his previous life, only five or six players had been lucky enough to obtain a Legendary Bloodline, and they had appeared months after the game's launch.
For him to secure one now, after just over 200 draws? His luck was truly extraordinary.
Once the extraction was complete, the full details of the [Star Bloodline] appeared before him:
**[Star Bloodline (Legendary)]**
**Bloodline Abilities:**
1. **[Star Manifestation]:** You can manifest your strength and skills in the real world.
2. **[Star Empowerment]:** Use experience points and psionic coins to upgrade your abilities and items, improving their quality.
Su Yu's eyes widened as he read the abilities.
Manifesting strength in the real world was a coveted power in *Evolution*, but in his previous life, players could only achieve this at level 50 after completing a grueling set of quests. But with the [Star Bloodline], Su Yu could manifest his abilities from the very start—at level 1!
This gave him an immense advantage, providing the protection he needed in the early stages of the game when the Skrull invasion was still ramping up.
And the second ability? It allowed him to directly enhance his skills and items using experience points and psionic coins. With his vast resources, Su Yu was sure this would make him nearly unstoppable.
Satisfied, Su Yu smiled. The pieces of his plan were falling into place. With the [Star Bloodline] and billions of psionic coins at his disposal, the future was his to shape.
