"Well well what do we have here?"
Adam watched as a man came out of the woods to his right. The man was tall, large and gave off a beastly handsome caveman vibe. He walked slowly towards Adam, who with his new sense of smell and beastly instincts, sensed that he was dangerous. But only slightly so.
"Who might you be?" asked the large intimidating man with a beastly smile.
"You first" said Adam as he gauged the intimidating man. Through Logan's memories he had already recognized him however he still decided to play dumb.
The man smiled sadistically "alright I'll humour you brave insect. I'm Victor Creed but most people know me as Sabertooth"
That's right. This man standing before Adam was Sabertooth. Logan's eternal friend/rival/enemy/frenemy. He possessed essentially the same abilities as Logan except his claws grew from his fingernails.
"I see. And what might you be doing here Mr Victor?"
"Well I was hoping me and my friends could surprise my good friend Logan but it seems you received our gift instead."
Friends?? Adam looked around only to see another group of five men emerge from the opposite direction. From four of these men Adam's beast instincts could sense the slightest bit of danger but surprisingly the man standing at the front of this ragtag group gave him not the slightest bit of danger. A man he recognized along with the rest of the group from Logan's memories.
"Victor. I believe we were supposed to approach Logan together." Said the man standing at the front of the group and the supposed leader whom Adam recognized as William Stryker from Logan's memories. The leader of Team X, Logan's former team.
"Sorry but after Zero fired the rocket launcher I assumed that we were all free to do as we pleased" said Victor as he glanced at Zero who simply smiled while propping up the rocket launcher in his hands in a threatening way to which Victor also smiled menacingly.
"Enough!" commanded Stryker to which the two begrudgingly nodded "Now back to the attention at hand. Who are you and where is Logan?" Stryker asked Adam to which he simply shook his head.
"I'm no one worth knowing and as for Logan. He is dead"
Adam's words sent a wave of shock throughout the entire group.
"Logan? Dead? Impossible" denied a laughing Victor Creed as he looked at Adam with a mocking gaze. "Of all the lies you could have told, that was the worst one. Now where is Logan hiding?" Victor knew more than anyone else of how difficult it was to kill Logan. After all they possessed similar abilities and had been trying to kill each other for over two centuries and so he knew that just as he was hard to kill, so was Logan. He could be captured sure but killed? Not possible. Victor had even once tried cutting off Logan's head just to test how powerful his healing ability was but he only managed to cut halfway through his neck before he was shoved away and Logan healed himself. Afterwards he had encased his entire skeleton in Adamantium which meant that Victor could no longer harm him as he did not possess the capacity to cut through Adamantium so he knew he would never be able to test whether Logan could survive decapitation. Even so, he knew that Logan's Adamantium skeleton and incredible healing factor made him now nearly impossible to kill. Even Stryker could only try to subjugate him or manipulate him as he also knew that Logan couldn't be killed.
"I'm not lying. Whether you believe me or not, that's up to you." Said Adam.
One of the men standing beside Stryker vanished before quickly reappearing next to Stryker holding a metal skeleton.
"It's true Victor. I would recognize Logan's Adamantium anywhere" said the man known as John Wraith as he placed the Adamantium skeleton on the ground. Victor and the rest of the team also recognized the Adamantium skeleton belonging to Logan causing them all to display shocked expressions.
"Are you the one who did this?" asked Victor, his voice filled with barely contained anger and rage. Despite his troublesome history with Logan, no one cared for him more than Victor hence seeing his eternal brother/rival dead filled him with a desire for revenge.
Adam nodded. Victor, seeing Adam's nonchalant demeanour to killing his friend lost his mind and launched himself towards Adam. His fingernails extended into claws ready to tear him apart however the first to reach Adam was not Victor but the teleporting man John who teleported right next to Adam. With the large hunting knife in his hand, he stabbed Adam right in the stomach. John's eyes, filled with hate, pushed the knife deep into Adam's chest pushing it right through his heart. Satisfied, he was about to teleport away when he felt a hand grab tightly onto his own.
John looked down to see Adam's right hand clasped tightly onto his own. With a horrified look, he gazed upwards only to see Adam's cold hazel eyes and his malicious smirk.
"Gotcha!" uttered Adam frightening John who wanted to struggle but suddenly felt his consciousness slip away. John collapsed onto the ground unconscious. As for Victor and the rest of the group, they were currently mobilized and unable to move. Red Psychic energy circled around them, constricting them into place and unable to move. Victor struggled with all his might trying to break out of the psychic bind holding him down but he was unsuccessful. Adam focused his powers on the five bound figures and sent a mental command to their defenceless minds.
'Sleep'
Four of the men collapsed on the ground fast asleep yet Adam was shocked to see Stryker still awake and still standing. Stryker, seeing all of his task force fast asleep on the ground, with shock and a bit of fear glanced towards Adam who was gazing at him with a curious look.
"Why is it that I cannot access your mind?" asked Adam as he removed the knife in his chest, the wound healing almost instantaneously, and approached Stryker.
