For a moment, Kakashi grew more relentless. The sword techniques he had learned from Hatake Sakumo were fully displayed as he fought. With dazzling skills and formidable strength, he overwhelmed Machuan and his team.
"Illusion Jizo!"
Suddenly, Yuhi Kurenai appeared before Kakashi. Forming a seal with her hand, the surroundings transformed instantly. Kakashi's vision blurred, and a massive stone statue of Jizo loomed before him, radiating a suffocating aura that immobilized him.
"Release!"
Kakashi swiftly raised his fingers, dispelling the genjutsu.
"What in the world!"
"Reiki, what did you give them?"
A series of loud explosions erupted. Although Kakashi tried to retreat, he was still caught in the blast and sustained significant injuries.
Rin wanted to rush to Kakashi's aid, but Hanyu Azawa intercepted her. Kakashi, unable to stand, was vulnerable to the relentless lower-level ninjutsu assaults surrounding him. The opposition even had recovery potions—fighting them seemed impossible.
"First battle over! Team Reiki wins!"
Nawaki sounded the horn, signaling the end of the match. Any further fighting would have seen Kakashi, Obito, and Rin continually overpowered.
"Everyone, take a break. I'll go heal Kakashi and the others."
"And Yaze, be more careful when dealing with girls. You could just incapacitate them without excessive force."
"If you're too harsh, Obito might recover and come back to fight you later."
Reiki approached the trio and began healing them. Apart from Obito, who was relatively unscathed, the others' injuries were minor and quickly addressed by Reiki.
"Boss, this isn't fair."
"They should be able to simulate puppet battles when fighting us, right? This training just seemed like you were targeting me," Obito complained, feeling frustrated. He barely had time to shine in front of Rin before being taken out. It was disheartening to be outmatched so quickly.
"Reiki, while your training methods are effective, can we pace ourselves? If we rush in all at once, we can't make sound judgments," Kakashi added. "Your presence affects our ability to strategize."
"Is that so?" Reiki responded, considering Kakashi's point. "Alright then…"
"Reiki-sensei!"
A familiar and bothersome voice interrupted Reiki's thoughts. It was none other than Konoha's most enthusiastic ninja—Might Guy! And alongside him was Sarutobi Asuma, another of Reiki's headaches.
"Asuma?"
"Guy?"
"Reiki-sensei, did you call us to join this training? I knew you wanted to push us so we'd take this training seriously!" Guy shouted, eyes alight with excitement. "This time, I'm ready to show my youth!"
Obito perked up. "Rin, this time I'll definitely protect you!"
"Uh… what training?" Guy said, looking puzzled. "Is this what youth guidance feels like?"
"Sensei Reiki, I want to join too!" Guy burst into the training ground with boundless energy, giving a thumbs-up while grinning broadly, even with a stray vegetable caught between his teeth.
"Training led by Sensei Reiki? Count me in! I'm paying my way and brought money for potions," Asuma chimed in, stepping forward.
"Uh… Kakashi, if you don't mind, let's include them in the training," Reiki sighed, facing the inevitable chaos of dealing with the two energetic ninja.
Kakashi gave a resigned nod. "Sure. Guy, Asuma, come here. Let me explain the training."
Obito briefed the new recruits on the training goals, including how Reiki had crushed him earlier. Kakashi added his own observations, noting the need for a methodical approach.
"So that's how it is?" Guy said, nodding with intensity. "Asuma, we should join Reiki's team."
"Agreed. This training simulates real missions where we might not know the enemy's strength or numbers."
The two immediately lined up behind Reiki.
"Uh… you two…," Kakashi and Obito exchanged worried glances. This already tough fight had now added two formidable allies on the enemy side.
"I get it now," Obito said, finally serious. "This training mirrors mission conditions where the enemy is unknown. If we can't handle this, we'll be a liability in the field."
Kakashi agreed. "Rin, join either of us and analyze during the fight," he said firmly. He knew Reiki wouldn't be too harsh on her, considering they were classmates.
"Obito, Kakashi, help me!" Rin shouted as the battle commenced. Before she could join Obito and Kakashi, Reiki appeared in front of her and attacked—knocking her out cold.
The plans Kakashi and Obito had meticulously prepared fell apart instantly. Obito couldn't abandon Rin, and Kakashi was left facing overwhelming odds alone. Asuma and Guy quickly intercepted them, blocking their advance.
Reiki, having subdued Rin, joined the fray against Kakashi and Obito. The battle ended almost as quickly as it began. Machuan's team hadn't even drawn their kunai before it was all over.
