Over an hour had passed since Reiki had left the training ground, yet Uchiha Nagasawa still stood there, stunned. The ten Uchiha chunin he had gathered hadn't left either.
"So… you were all beaten by a medical ninja?" Nagasawa asked, raising an eyebrow as he glanced at the unscathed group.
"Yes." All ten ninjas looked down, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and shame.
They were Uchiha clan members, elite fighting ninjas, and part of the Security Department. And yet, they had been thoroughly defeated by a medical ninja. To make matters worse, Reiki had treated their injuries afterward.
"You all… I'll report this to the clan leader. Meanwhile, follow the training methods Reiki outlined for you," Nagasawa said with a sigh. He handed them a set of potions. "These are training potions Reiki left. Use them all and train hard. Don't bring disgrace to the Uchiha name!"
With that, Nagasawa hurried off to report the events to Fugaku.
"Wait, none of them could take down Reiki?" Uchiha Fugaku asked in surprise after Nagasawa explained what had happened.
Reiki was a chunin, and he had sparred with other chunin from the Uchiha clan. Yet somehow, he had effortlessly defeated them all.
"Not only did he defeat them, but he also suggested ways they could improve," Nagasawa replied. "Here's an analysis of each one."
Nagasawa began reading from the list Reiki had provided. "Ueda, your reaction time is too slow; you hesitate before engaging. Sekiya, your control is lacking, and you're prone to missing your target."
As Nagasawa recited the feedback, Fugaku's face grew darker.
"Nagasawa, isn't Natsume in charge of the training for the clan?" Fugaku asked sternly.
"Yes, sir."
"Then bring him here. I want an explanation. If he doesn't want to end up kneeling in the ancestral hall, he better come up with a better plan for training."
Nagasawa nodded and quickly left, not wanting to anger Fugaku further.
Uchiha Natsume, who was fast asleep at home, was rudely awakened and dragged to the training ground. When he heard Nagasawa's account of the day's events, he realized the severity of the situation. The feedback Reiki provided was remarkably detailed and insightful.
"Nagasawa, you could have warned me…" Natsume muttered, feeling helpless.
Nagasawa shrugged. "Roy came here on his own initiative, and he spotted those issues himself. By the way, he left a batch of potions for training. The clan leader said that if these yield good results, funding won't be an issue. A strong Uchiha clan is our priority."
Natsume examined the potions, intrigued despite himself. These were no ordinary concoctions.
"What exactly are these potions?"
"The concentration potion enhances mental focus and awareness. The body-building potion temporarily improves physical strength, allowing it to stabilize through training. There's also a stamina potion to help break physical limits," Nagasawa explained.
Initially skeptical, Natsume was taken aback. "These potions are available, but at a high price… And Reiki provided them in large quantities?"
"Yes. The clan leader said he'll cover the costs if the results are promising."
Natsume nodded, feeling more determined. "With these ten, I'll ensure the clan leader sees a noticeable improvement."
Nagasawa shook his head. "Your target isn't just the chunin. You'll also need to work with other ranks, including jonin."
Natsume groaned, rubbing his temples. Training jonin was no easy task—they each had their own highly developed styles and often lacked time for regimented training.
"Well, that's on you, Natsume. I'm heading back." Nagasawa left with a smirk, leaving Natsume alone to contemplate the task before him.
Meanwhile, the one who had started it all, Reiki, was already back home, relaxing in a hot bath. Today's achievements left him feeling immensely satisfied.
"System, open the seven surprise gift packages from today's treatments," Reiki said, tapping on his system panel.
"Ding, opening surprise gift packages x7."
"Rewards: Mental immunity capsules x2, talent points +10, refined kunai x20…"
The details made Reiki grin with satisfaction.
