Chapter 28 - **Chapter 28: Contacting Minato and Gaining the Flying Thunder God Technique**

Reiki hurried down the hospital corridor, spotting Kushina waiting outside the ward with a worried expression.

"Sister Kushina," Reiki greeted her warmly, "I'm Reiki, Master Tsunade's disciple."

Kushina perked up at the mention of Tsunade. "Are you here to help with Minato's injuries?"

Reiki nodded. "Yes, the teacher asked me to check his condition and report back to her."

Kushina quickly arranged for Reiki to enter the ward. Tsunade's name opened doors easily, and Reiki's reputation as a talented young medic made the other medical ninjas even more accommodating.

Inside the room, Minato lay heavily bandaged, his face pale. Reiki assessed him with practiced eyes.

"Both hands," he muttered as he placed his hands over Minato, feeling the extent of his injuries through chakra feedback: fractured ribs, shattered limbs—it was severe. Reiki marveled that Minato had even made it this far.

"Treat," he commanded. With gentle chakra flows, he knit together bones and soothed damaged tissue, restoring stability to Minato's body.

*Ding!* His system chimed in Reiki's mind: "Congratulations, host! The treatment is successful. Reward: Flying Thunder God Technique and a substantial chakra boost!"

*Flying Thunder God?* Reiki held back his excitement and finished the last of the treatment. He kept his tone calm as he turned to Kushina, waiting outside.

"Brother Minato is out of danger. He'll need a few days' rest, but he should make a full recovery."

Kushina let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Reiki," she said gratefully.

"If you need anything, I'll be in the public ward," he added with a nod before leaving to attend to other patients. He could hardly believe his new technique—the Flying Thunder God. This space-time ninjutsu was legendary, known to be developed by the Second Hokage and inaccessible to most.

Later that day, while he and Shizune ate lunch at the hospital cafeteria, Kushina waved them over. She ordered more food, insisting Reiki have an extra serving to replenish his strength.

"Minato woke up," Kushina shared with a smile. "He's been told he only needs a few more days to recover, thanks to you. When he's out, we'd like you to come over for dinner. Bring your friend too!" she added, winking at Shizune, who blushed slightly.

Reiki chuckled. "Thanks, Sister Kushina. And here's something for Minato." He handed her a scroll. "A technique that might suit him."

Kushina looked curious but held back from opening it. She promised to deliver it and left, while Reiki dug into his meal, feeling his body finally settle after a long morning of work.

---

Back in Minato's room, Kushina handed him the scroll.

"Minato, this is from the boy who treated you. He said it might be useful."

Minato's eyebrows raised as he read through the scroll. "The Flying Thunder God Technique?" His eyes lit up with understanding. The scroll described a powerful space-time jutsu that had always intrigued him. The fact that this young medic—a boy of barely eight—had passed him such an advanced technique was astonishing.

"Who is this kid?" Minato wondered aloud, still perplexed by the unexpected gift.

Kushina laughed. "He's one of Tsunade-sama's disciples. Hard to believe, right? But he's already handling treatments on his own."

Minato's curiosity only deepened. The boy had not only helped him heal but had also offered him something that could very well change his approach to battle.

---

Three days later, Reiki felt a sense of accomplishment. His medical proficiency had improved, and his body was growing stronger with each session. That evening, Tsunade's home was buzzing with guests. Minato and Kushina arrived to thank Tsunade personally, bringing gifts to express their gratitude.

As they sat around the table, Minato gave a warm smile. "Thank you, Tsunade-sama. Thanks to you and Reiki, I've recovered much faster than expected."

Tsunade chuckled, gesturing to Reiki. "Reiki deserves the credit. I didn't step in at all for your treatment."

Minato looked over at Reiki, surprised. "So you really did it yourself?" he asked.

Reiki nodded, feeling slightly bashful under Minato's gaze. "I'm still learning," he said modestly.

Minato laughed. "If this is just the beginning, I can't imagine what you'll accomplish in the future."

Kushina beamed at him. "You're welcome at our place anytime. And if you keep helping out like this, I'll have to start paying you in meals!"

They spent the rest of the evening sharing stories and laughs, the bonds between them growing deeper with every passing moment. And for Reiki, the knowledge that he now held a technique as extraordinary as the Flying Thunder God was a promise of even greater challenges ahead.
