As the first rays of sunlight broke through the horizon, Reiki woke up early to prepare breakfast. After ensuring everything was in order, he set off for the training ground.
Arriving just before five o'clock, he was the first to reach their usual spot. It wasn't long before a familiar voice echoed in the morning air.
"Reiki-san!"
Reiki smiled, recognizing the enthusiastic tone of his friend, Might Guy. "Good morning, Gai."
"Let's fight today! When everyone arrives, you can heal me afterward, and then I'll take on Obito!" Gai said, brimming with excitement.
Reiki chuckled. Gai never seemed to worry about getting beaten up, knowing he had a skilled medical ninja like Reiki at his side. "Alright, let's go for it."
The two engaged in pure physical combat, their movements swift and powerful. Reiki was pleasantly surprised to see that Gai had picked up some of the techniques he'd demonstrated the previous day. Gai's diverse techniques, postures, and intensity were impressive for his age, showcasing his dedication to training.
*Boom!*
After an intense bout lasting over ten minutes, Reiki managed to knock Gai down. The young ninja lay on the ground, panting, while Reiki prepared for the healing phase.
"Reiki, can I ask you something?" Gai inquired, still catching his breath. "Why do you always beat me half to death and then heal me? What's the point?"
Reiki regarded him seriously. "When training for battle, it's important not to get too accustomed to a safe fighting style. If you do, when faced with real enemies, you might not be able to unleash your full strength. I want you to be mentally prepared for the life-or-death situations that await us on the battlefield."
Gai's eyes sparkled with understanding. "You're right! I see now that even getting beaten up has its purpose! Thank you, Reiki!"
Feeling a mix of pride and embarrassment, Reiki thought about how easily Gai was impressed.
Just then, Obito and Kakashi arrived, joining the gathering crowd that had begun to form around the training ground. Word had spread about Reiki's battles, and many of their classmates had come to witness the spectacle. They watched in awe as Reiki showcased his impressive skills against Gai.
Some of them were inspired, feeling an urge to face Reiki in battle themselves, but ultimately, they restrained themselves as school was approaching.

Once Reiki arrived at the hospital later that day, he resumed his routine of treating patients. The war had calmed down, and the hospital was less crowded than before.
"Brother Reiki, thank you! My body feels fully recovered," Kawama exclaimed, his face lit with gratitude. Reiki had helped him recover quickly from injuries sustained during the battlefield.
"Happy to help! But I do have a small request—could you spar with me?" Reiki asked, his eyes shining with determination.
Kawama raised an eyebrow but agreed, "Sure, let's use the training ground behind the hospital."
As they arrived at the training ground, Kawama gave Reiki a friendly warning. "As a medical ninja, you don't need to worry too much about your fighting strength. Tsunade-sama had to train for a long time to reach her level. You're still young; take your time and don't pressure yourself."
"I appreciate the advice, but I want you to go all out. I need to improve," Reiki replied, determination etched on his face.
With a nod, Reiki rushed forward. His speed, power, and skill were already on par with a seasoned Chunin.
*Boom!* Kawama blocked Reiki's attack but instinctively reached to capture him, thinking more about defense than counterattacking.
Just as he moved, Reiki swiftly pulled out a kunai and cut Kawama's palm. "If you can't treat me as an enemy, then our spar is over."
Kawama's eyes widened in understanding. "Got it!"
"Shadow Clone Technique!" Reiki shouted, creating clones that flanked Kawama. "Wind Release: Air Slash!" They attacked simultaneously while the main body struck from the side.
Kawama reacted quickly. He blocked Reiki's sword strike with his kunai, but the impact sent vibrations through his arm. "You have good strength and finesse, but the gap between us is still too wide. In a real battle against someone like me, your first thought should be to escape."
Just as he said this, another Kawama appeared behind Reiki, kunai aimed at his back. "Got you!"
*Boom!* But as Kawama lunged, Reiki transformed into smoke.
"Shadow clone?" Kawama was taken aback. "This kid…"
From the side, Reiki called out, "Brother Kawama, you still don't see me as a threat! If I were your enemy, you'd be dead on the battlefield right now!"
"Haha, I admit it's my fault!" Kawama laughed. The atmosphere shifted, and they both got serious for the next round.
Reiki faced Kawama once more, the tension rising. He knew that to gain real experience, he had to push his limits against someone of Kawama's caliber.
The sparring resumed, and while Reiki showcased his skills, he ultimately found himself overpowered by Kawama's full strength as a Jonin. The difference in experience was palpable, but Reiki felt invigorated, knowing he had learned valuable lessons through the fight.
