JAMIN'S POV
I woke up to the warm sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows of my apartment. I stretched, feeling the softness of my bed.Ms Thompson always made sure everything was perfect.
As I swung my legs over the side of the bed, my mind started racing with the day's schedule. Meetings, conferences, and a thousand other things demanding my attention. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes, already feeling the weight of my responsibilities.
But for a moment, I just sat there, enjoying the quiet of my apartment. It was my sanctuary, the one place where I could be myself, without the expectations and pressures of the business world.
I headed downstairs, the smell of freshly brewed coffee and bacon wafting through the air. My stomach growled in anticipation. As I entered the kitchen, I saw Ms. Thompson, my nanny, busy at the stove.
"Morning, Jamie!" she chimed, her warm smile a familiar comfort.
I walked over to give her a gentle hug. "Morning, Ms. Thompson. Something smells amazing."
She chuckled, her eyes twinkling. "Just making some breakfast. Your favorite – bacon and eggs."
I grinned, feeling a sense of normalcy wash over me. This was my happy place – surrounded by the people and things I loved.
Ms Thompson had been a mother figure to me for as long as I remember
I sat down at the kitchen island, watching as Ms. Thompson expertly flipped the eggs. She'd been with me since I was a kid, and she knew me better than almost anyone.
"Big day today?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
I shrugged. "Just the usual. Meetings and conference calls."
Ms. Thompson nodded knowingly. "You'll do great, Jamie. You always do."
She slid a plate of steaming hot food in front of me, and I dug in, savoring the flavors. For a moment, I forgot about the stresses of my business empire and just enjoyed the simple pleasure of a home-cooked meal.
After finishing my breakfast, I pushed the plate away and stood up, feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day. I headed to my spacious bathroom, the marble floor cool beneath my feet.
I turned on the shower, and warm water cascaded down, relaxing my muscles. I stood under the spray, feeling the tension melt away. My mind began to clear, focusing on the tasks ahead.
After a refreshing shower, I stepped out and wrapped myself in a plush towel. I walked over to the sink, gazing at my reflection in the mirror. My jawline was sharp, defined, and strong, a testament to my rigorous fitness routine. My piercing blue eyes seemed to bore into my own soul, as if daring me to take on the day.
I began my morning grooming routine, carefully shaving my chin and cheeks, making sure every hair was perfectly in place. I styled my dark hair, adding just the right amount of texture and volume.
Next, I walked into my expansive walk-in closet, rows of bespoke suits and designer shoes lining the walls. I chose a tailored navy blue suit, the fabric luxurious against my skin. I carefully put it on, adjusting the fit to perfection.
The suit accentuated my broad shoulders and chiseled physique, making me look every inch the powerful CEO I was. I added a crisp white shirt, a patterned silk tie, and a pair of polished black oxfords.
Finally, I slipped on my silver watch, the weight of it reassuring on my wrist. I gave myself a once-over in the mirror, satisfied with the reflection staring back at me.
Jamie stepped into the sleek, black car waiting for him outside his apartment. His driver, a stoic man with a stern expression, greeted him with a nod.
As the car navigated through the city streets, Jamie checked his phone, scanning the day's schedule. Meetings, negotiations, and strategic planning filled his day.
His gaze drifted out the window, his expression unreadable. People on the sidewalk cast nervous glances at the car, whispering among themselves. Jamie's reputation preceded him; he was a force to be reckoned with.
The car pulled up to the imposing glass-and-steel skyscraper that housed his company. Jamie's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched.
Rickon my driver came out to open the doors for me, I stepped out of the car and onto the slick pavement, my eyes fixed on the towering skyscraper in front of me. My building. My domain.
As I strode towards the entrance, the glass doors slid open with a soft whoosh. My assistant, derrick, stood waiting, his eyes fixed on me with a mixture of professionalism and wariness.
"Good morning, sir," he said, his voice crisp. "You have a meeting with the marketing team at 10 am."
I nodded curtly, my gaze sweeping past him to the bustling lobby beyond. "I'm aware of the schedule, derrick. See that everything runs smoothly today."
His eyes flickered, but he nodded, his expression impassive. "Of course, sir."
I turned, striding towards the elevators, my footsteps echoing off the marble floor. The doors slid open, and I stepped inside, my eyes fixed on the numbers ticking upwards.
It was going to be a long day.
