Chereads / My Cat Turned Into A Cat Girl! / Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Knowing To Have Fun

Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Knowing To Have Fun

A few days had passed since Aoi's transformation, and our lives had settled into a comfortable routine.

I was sitting on the floor. Aoi in her cat form, slept on my lap.

Oh you guys don't know about this. So let me explain.

One day when I returned home from college. I walked through the front door, dropping my bag beside it. "Aoi?" I called out, expecting her to greet me in her human form. Instead, a sleek white cat with bright green eyes darted out from the living room, rubbing against my legs. It was Aoi, back in her feline form.

I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions - disappointment and happiness. I had grown accustomed to having Aoi by my side as a human, but seeing her happy and carefree in her cat form brought a smile to my face.

"Aoi, you're back to normal," I said, scooping her up in my arms. She purred contentedly, nuzzling her head into my chest. I sat down on the floor, and she promptly lay on my lap, exposing her belly for scratches.

As I petted her, I turned on the TV, letting the soothing hum fill the room. Suddenly, Aoi's body began to shift. Her limbs lengthened, her features softened, and her fur receded. I watched in awe as she transformed into her human form right before my eyes.

She screamed "Onii-Chan!" and snuggled into my chest, her naked body trembling. I quickly wrapped my arms around her, holding her close.

"Aoi, what's happening? Why did you change back?" I asked, concern etched on my face.

"A-Aoi don't know, Onii-Chan," she stammered, her face buried in my chest. "Aoi just turned back. Aoi was scared... scared Aoi wouldn't be like you again, and that Aoi wouldn't be able to have fun."

I petted her back, trying to reassure her. "It's okay, Aoi. You're safe. We'll figure this out together."

But first, I needed to get her dressed. The rush of emotions and the intimacy of the moment had my heart racing.

"Let's get you some clothes, okay?" I said, gently lifting her off my lap.

Let's get back to the present.

Now, as I sat with Aoi on my lap in her cat form, she had mastered transforming back and forth between her cat and human forms at will.

Aoi suddenly turned back into her human form. She had mischievous grin on her face when suddenly she hugged me tightly.

"I'm happy, Onii-Chan," she said, her eyes sparkling. "Aoi can be with you in both forms now."

I smiled, hugging her tight. "That's true. You can be yourself, no matter what form you take."

But as we basked in this newfound freedom, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Aoi's transformation than met the eye.

I was already used to seeing her naked. Still I asked her to get into her clothes, cause I might do something.

She nodded enthusiastically, and walked toward the wardrobe to choose the one she wanted to wear.

"What do you want to wear today?" I asked from where I was sitting.

"Umm… this white pullover and this leggings, It's really chilly today, Onii-Chan," she asked, expecting me to put it on her as she is still not used to it.

I waved my hand toward me. She came running, her eyes sparkling.

Then I put the clothes on her. She was Looking adorable.

"Onii-Chan… do Aoi look good?" she asked, her eyes pleading.

"Aoi… you look absolute adorable," I replied.

She beamed and jumped toward me and started snuggling me. I snuggled her back.

"Hey Aoi… how about we go out," I asked. "We'll have fun,"

She looked toward me, her hands cradling my neck. "Where will we go Onii-Chan?" she asked, looking equally surprised and curious.

"We'll see when we get there," I replied.

We arrived at the beach, and Aoi's eyes widened as she took in the endless blue horizon. "Wooh!" she exclaimed, bouncing up and down.

She wore a cute bikini, designed to resemble a cat's features. Her panties had a hole for her tail, and she is wearing a hairband. Both made it seem like her cat ears and tail were part of the accessory. She looked adorable, and I couldn't help but chuckle.

As we walked along the shore, Aoi's grip on my hand tightened. "Onii-Chan, it's scary," she whispered, her eyes scanning the crowds. "There are so many people."

I reassured her, "Don't worry, Aoi. I'm here. You're safe."

Just then, a familiar voice called out, "Ryu!"

I turned to see Ai, my ex-girlfriend, approaching us with her older brother, Takeshi.

"Long time no see," Ai said, her tone awkward. Her smile faltered as she took in Aoi snuggling to my side.

I nodded, memories flashing back. Ai and I had been together for two years, and our relationship had been passionate, but troubled. We'd parted ways six months ago, after a bitter quarrel.

Ai's gaze drifted to Aoi, her expression curious. "And who's this?"

Aoi hid behind me, clutching my arm tightly. "Onii-Chan, the auntie is scary."

I glanced down at Aoi, concerned. "What's wrong?"

Ai's face contorted in mock offense. "Auntie? Scary? Hey, I'm not that old! And I'm definitely not scary."

Aoi peeked from behind me, her eyes blazing with a fierce, feline intensity. "Hiss! Enemy!"

Ai's eyes widened, and she took a step back, hands raised in defense. "Whoa, kitty's got claws!"

I chuckled, trying to diffuse the tension. "Sorry, Ai. Aoi's just a bit shy."

Ai's scowl deepened. "Shy? She's...rude."

Takeshi intervened, placing a calming hand on Ai's shoulder. "Hey, let's not make a scene."

Ai's expression softened, but her voice remained icy. "Ryu, can we talk?"

I hesitated, unsure how to respond. I'd closed that chapter of my life, and Ai was now nothing more than a memory.

"Later, Ai. I'm busy with Aoi right now," I said.

Ai's expression turned cold. "Fine. let's talk later, Ryu."

As Ai and Takeshi walked away, Aoi peeked from behind me.

"Onii-Chan, why is Auntie angry?" she asked.

"I don't know, Aoi. But let's focus on having fun, okay? And it's rude call someone auntie when they aren't married,"

Aoi nodded, and we continued our beach trip.

Internally, I thought to myself, Ai has no right to be angry. We're done, and I've moved on.

As Ai and Takeshi walked away, Aoi turned to me with a bright smile. "Onii-Chan, let's go play in the water!"

I grinned, scooping her up in my arms. "Let's do it!"

We spent the next hour splashing around in the waves, laughing and shrieking with delight. Aoi's fearlessness in the water was infectious, and I found myself letting go of my worries and simply enjoying the moment.

After exhausting ourselves, we settled down on a beach towel, soaking up the warm sun. Aoi snuggled up close to me, her eyes drifting shut as she basked in the heat.

I wrapped my arms around her, feeling a sense of contentment wash over me. This was what happiness felt like.

Just as we were relaxing, Ai reappeared, her expression still chilly. "Ryu, can I talk to you for a minute?" she asked, her voice tight.

I hesitated, not wanting to leave Aoi's side. "What is it, Ai?"

Ai glanced at Aoi, her eyes narrowing. "What's going on with you and...her?" she asked, her tone accusatory.

I frowned, sensing where this was headed. "What do you mean?"

Ai's voice rose. "You're spending time with an elementary school girl, taking her to the beach, building sandcastles...is she your girlfriend now?"

Aoi, sensing tension, clung to my arm. "Onii-Chan, what's wrong?"

Ai's eyes flashed with anger. "You're doing all this with a child? What's wrong with you, Ryu?"

I tried to intervene, but Aoi beat me to it.

"Onii-Chan is Aoi's!" Aoi declared, her eyes blazing. "Aoi don't know what girlfriend means, but Aoi's Onii-Chan's Aoi!"

Ai's face turned red with jealousy. "What is going on here?"

I quickly stepped in, trying to defuse the situation. "Ai, stop. Aoi is my family. We're just spending time together."

Ai's expression turned skeptical. "Family? That's not what it looks like."

Takeshi intervened, his voice calm. "Ai, let's not jump to conclusions."

Ai's eyes flashed with jealousy, but she backed down. "Fine. Later, Ryu."

As she walked away, Aoi stirred, opening her eyes. "Onii-Chan, who's that auntie again?"

I chuckled. "Just an old friend, Aoi. Don't worry about it."

Aoi nodded, snuggling closer. "Aoi don't like her, Onii-Chan. She's mean."

I stroked her hair. "Don't worry, Aoi. I'm here for you."

Takeshi approached us, his expression thoughtful. "Ryu, can I have a word?"

I nodded, curious. "What's up, Takeshi?"

"Ai's still hurting from your breakup," Takeshi said, his voice low. "She's trying to move on, but it's hard for her."

I frowned, feeling a pang of guilt. "I didn't mean to hurt her, Takeshi. We just didn't work out."

Takeshi nodded. "I know. But Ai needs closure. Can you talk to her?"

I hesitated, unsure if I was ready to reopen that chapter. "I'll think about it, Takeshi."

As Takeshi walked away, Aoi sat up, her eyes sparkling. "Onii-Chan, let's build a sandcastle!"

I grinned, pushing aside my thoughts about Ai. "Let's do it!"

We spent the rest of the day building an epic sandcastle, complete with moats, towers, and a flag on top. Aoi's laughter and excitement were contagious, and I found myself having the time of my life.

As the sun began to set, we settled down on our towel, watching the stars twinkle to life.

Aoi snuggled up close, her eyes shining. "Onii-Chan, Aoi had the best day ever."

I smiled, hugging her tight. "Me too, Aoi. Me too."

As the sun began to set, we decided to clean up before heading home. I spotted a shower room nearby and suggested we freshen up.

"Aoi, wait outside for me, okay?" I asked.

Aoi nodded, her eyes sparkling. "Okay, Onii-Chan."

As I entered the shower room, I noticed Ai lingering around the entrance. I didn't think much of it, assuming she was just waiting for Takeshi.

As I stepped into the warm shower, the water cascaded down my skin, washing away the salt and sand from our beach trip. The scent of soap and shampoo filled the air, and I closed my eyes, letting out a contented sigh. The shower room was small, with white tiles and a stainless steel sink. A single flickering fluorescent light above the sink cast an eerie glow.

Just as I was relaxing, I heard the curtain slide open, and Ai slipped inside, closing it behind her. Her eyes locked onto mine, and I felt a jolt of unease.

"Ai, what are you doing here?" I asked, startled.

"I needed to talk to you," Ai said, her voice barely above a whisper. Her eyes sparkled with unshed tears, and her face was pale. "Remember when we first started dating? You took me to the beach, and we watched the sunset together?"

I frowned, uncomfortable. "Ai, that's in the past. We've moved on." But Ai's gaze held mine, her expression nostalgic.

"You were my first love, Ryu. My only love," she whispered, her voice trembling. "That night...our first night together...do you remember?" Her eyes searched mine, and I felt a pang of guilt.

"Ai, stop. This isn't right," I said firmly, trying to push her away. But she pinned me against the wall, her hands grasping my arms.

"Let me finish," Ai pleaded. "I was wrong to let you go. I realize that now." Her voice cracked, and tears spilled down her cheeks.

She touched my cheek and just as she tried to kiss me, the curtain swung open, and Aoi's tiny voice pierced the air.

"Leave Onii-Chan alone!" Aoi exclaimed, her eyes blazing with a fierce, feline intensity.

Ai's face contorted in shock, and she quickly released me. "Aoi...I..." Ai stuttered.

Aoi's face scrunched up, her tiny fists clenched. "Go away, Auntie! Onii-Chan is Aoi's!"

Ai's eyes filled with tears, and she turned and ran out of the shower room, leaving me feeling shaken.

"Aoi, it's okay. I'm here," I reassured her, kneeling down to her level.

Aoi's eyes still shone with tears, but she nodded. "Onii-Chan, Aoi don't like Auntie," she whispered, her voice trembling.

"I know, Aoi. But Ai's just confused," I said softly, hugging her tight.

As we left the shower room, Takeshi approached us, concern etched on his face.

"Ryu, what happened?" he asked.

"Just Ai being...Ai," I replied, shaking my head.

Takeshi nodded. "I'll talk to her."

Aoi clung to my arm, her voice barely above a whisper. "Onii-Chan, Aoi don't want Auntie to hurt you."

I smiled, reassuring her. "Don't worry, Aoi. I'm yours."

We walked out of the beach, the setting sun casting a warm glow over the landscape. The air was filled with the cries of seagulls and the distant sound of waves crashing against the shore.

As we walked, Aoi's grip on my arm tightened. "Onii-Chan, Aoi's hungry."

I chuckled. "Let's get some dinner, then."

We found a small restaurant nearby, the scent of seafood and tempura wafting through the air. Aoi's eyes widened as we scanned the menu.

"What do you want, Aoi?" I asked.

Aoi looked toward me, looking worried. "Onii-Chan, Aoi don't know names and Aoi don't know how to read, remember?"

I smiled, ordering for us.

As we waited for our food, Aoi snuggled up close to me, her eyes shining.

"Onii-Chan, Aoi had fun today," she whispered.

I hugged her tight. "Me too, Aoi. Me too."

Our food arrived, and we dug in, savoring the crispy tempura and sweet seafood.

Now with Ai and Takeshi.

Ai trudged alongside Takeshi, her eyes brimming with tears. They walked in silence until they reached the beach parking lot.

"Onii-Chan, I'm so stupid," Ai sobbed, collapsing onto the hood of his car.

Takeshi wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. "Ai… I don't know how to comfort you?"

Ai's words tumbled out in a torrent. "When I saw Ryu today, I was so happy and thought I could rekindle our relationship. But When I saw him with that little girl...Aoi, I felt so bad. They were always together. He's smiling, laughing...he's happy. And I realized I still love him."

Takeshi's expression softened. "Ai, you need to move on."

"But why can't it be me?" Ai wailed. "Why does he get to move on and find happiness with someone else?"

Takeshi's voice was calm and gentle. "Ai, Aoi is just a child. She can't be Ryu's girlfriend."

Ai's face contorted. "That's not the point! The point is Ryu cares for her deeply. He protects her, loves her...and it's killing me."

Takeshi's eyes filled with empathy. "Ai, you're misunderstanding. Ryu's relationship with Aoi is different. She's like a little sister to him."

Ai shook her head violently. "No, Onii-Chan. You didn't see them together. They're inseparable. And Aoi...she's so possessive of Ryu."

Takeshi's expression turned thoughtful. "Possessive?"

Ai nodded. "Yes! When she saw me with Ryu, she freaked out. She called me 'Auntie' and told me to leave Ryu alone."

Takeshi chuckled. "Well, maybe Aoi's just protective of Ryu."

Ai's voice rose. "Protective? She's in love with him, Onii-Chan! And Ryu...he doesn't even see it."

Takeshi's expression turned serious. "Ai, listen. Even if Aoi does have feelings for Ryu, it's not romantic. She's a child. And Ryu would never reciprocate those feelings."

Ai's face crumpled. "But why can't it be me?"

Takeshi's voice was firm but gentle. "Ai, you deserve better than someone who's already moved on. Ryu and you are done. It's time to let go."

Ai's tears slowed, and she looked up at Takeshi. "You're right, Onii-Chan. I need to move on."

Takeshi smiled, hugging her tight. "I'm here for you, Ai. We'll get through this together."

As they hugged, Ai's eyes drifted toward the beach, where Ryu and Aoi had disappeared into the sunset.

As we walked through the front door, exhaustion written all over our faces, Aoi yawned, stretching her tiny arms. "Onii-Chan, Aoi's sleepy."

I smiled, scooping her up in my arms. "Let's get you to bed, Aoi."

But before I could take a step, Aoi's eyes drooped, and she fell asleep in my arms, her head lolling against my shoulder.

I chuckled, adjusting my grip to bridal style, a warm smile spreading across my face. I walked toward the bed, gently laying her onto the mattress.

I laid down beside her, wrapping us in the same blanket. Aoi instinctively snuggled into me, her tiny hands grasping my shirt.

In her sleep, she whispered, "Aoi is Onii-Chan's Aoi."

My heart swelled with affection, and I felt a deep sense of contentment. As I drifted off to sleep, my thoughts briefly strayed to Ai, but I pushed them aside, focusing on the gentle rhythm of Aoi's breathing.

With a soft sigh, I let sleep claim me, the warmth of Aoi's presence chasing away any lingering doubts.

The darkness enveloped us, a soothing silence filling the room, as we slept, wrapped in each other's embrace.
