Chapter 10 - Pendant

"Luna, would you mind having your breakfast downstairs?" Esther queried Katherine, but she didn't respond.

"Esther, have you noticed something strange in my room lately?" She approached the window and plucked a dried flower. "This smells really bad," she sniffed it, and sneezed.

"I think I know about this flower," Esther examined it and gasped, recognizing the plant. "This is a spiritual flower; it helps to ward off dream demons," she placed it back on the window.

"Seriously? Is there anything like a dream demon?" Katherine mockingly asked, lying on the bed. "I'm not having breakfast; I don't want to see his grumpy face."

"But who put this here? Maybe the person knows about your nightmares," Esther said, and Katherine bit her lower lip.

"It has to be..."

"Alpha Luciano, it has to be him," Esther smiled, and Katherine scoffed.

"I don't care if he put it in or not. He always rides the horse with Rebecca, eats with her, sleeps with her, and what do I get? Absolutely nothing," she let out a slight scoff.

"Have you asked him for a ride, and he refused?" Esther raised her eyebrows.

"I haven't, but I know..."

"How do you know he's going to reject you? I mean, he is the one who married you; he must have seen something in you," Esther winked at her.

"It's obviously because I'm a low omega, and he felt pity for me," she muttered.

"I don't think so"

Katherine stepped off the bed, slipped on her slippers, and exited the room with Esther in tow.

"I'd like the chandeliers in the center. And where are the statues going?" Rebecca was thrilled for her celebration party. When she turned , he gaze landed on Katherine and she frowned.

"Good morning Luna" The maids greeted

"From today onwards, whoever refers to her as Luna who would be killed" Rebecca said and the maids exchanged glances.

"Okay Luna" The maids muttered.

Katherine gazed at her for a few moments before heading to the garden, her current favorite spot.

"I believe you're angry with Old Luna," Esther remarked, sighing.

"Not really, I don't blame her," Katherine replied.

"Leave us," Alpha Luciano entered the garden, and Esther bowed before departing.

"Good morning, Alpha," Katherine greeted, and he nodded.

"You seem to be adjusting to this place better," he commented, picking a flower and placing it in her hair. "Beautiful."

"Go and dress; I have somewhere I wish you to accompany me," he said, and she looked at her dress.

"I believe this is a dress," she examined it and then met his gaze.

"It's quite revealing; I don't want people staring at you," he said, holding her waist and pulling her closer. "Tell me, why do you smell so good," he sniffed her neck and then back to her cleavage, moaning helplessly.

"I smell good because I bathed," she responded, attempting to remove his hands. "What if your wife sees me? Let go!"

"My wife? You're also my wife, and I can flirt with you anywhere and anyplace," he ran his hands on her lap, and she held her dress. "Go change your dress, Kat; I'll be waiting."

With that, he left the garden, leaving her flushed. She bit her fingernails, recalling how his hands moved on her thighs and the feelings it aroused.

After carefully selecting a nice dress, she met Alpha Luciano, and they both left. Katherine didn't say a word but couldn't stop staring at his face.

"What is it?"

"Why don't you just return me to my pack? I hate seeing you with her," Katherine said.

"You hate seeing me with her? Hmmm… I suppose you know your place," he looked at Katherine.

"As your wife or as Luna?" she swallowed.

"You're silly," he pinched her nose, and she flinched.

"What do you mean I'm silly? Am I not intelligent enough to be a Luna, or am I ugly?" she raised her eyebrows.

"Quite the opposite," he responded, and she smiled.

"That means I'm beautiful, huh?"

"Far beyond the word 'beautiful,' your magic made," he touched her cheeks, and her face turned red.

"You seem really excited because I acknowledged your beauty," he muttered, and she nodded.

"I'm not used to it," she admitted, feeling a bit self-conscious.

"Well, get used to it," he smirked. "You're a rare gem, Katherine, and it's only right that I appreciate it."

Katherine's cheeks reddened, and she shifted uncomfortably. "You don't have to say things like that."

"Oh, but I do," he responded, his tone almost teasing. "You may not be used to compliments, but that doesn't mean you don't deserve them. In fact, I think you should hear them more often."

She looked away, trying to hide her embarrassment. "You don't have to keep flattering me."

"Flattery? No, my dear, I speak the truth," he said, his eyes locking onto hers. "I've seen many, but none quite like you."

Katherine swallowed nervously. "I... I appreciate your words, Alpha."

He chuckled, the sound sending a shiver down her spine. "You're blushing, Kat. It's quite endearing."

"I... well, it's embarrassing," she stammered.

He moved closer, his voice low and husky. "Embarrassing or not, I enjoy seeing that blush on your cheeks. It suits you."

She cleared her throat, attempting to regain composure. "Let's focus on why you brought me here, Alpha."

He grinned, his charm almost disarming. "Ah, right. Business before pleasure, but don't think I've forgotten the pleasure part."

Katherine rolled her eyes, trying to maintain a semblance of indifference. "What pleasure are you talking about?"

"The pleasure of your company, of course," he replied, a playful glint in his eyes.

When they arrived at the location, Alpha Luciano stepped out and opened Katherine's door.

"A shopping mall? Do you wish to change your dress, Alpha?" Katherine questioned.

"No, they are for you. I want you to look beautiful tonight," he wrapped his hands around her waist as they entered the mall.

"Why should I? It's not the party for me; it's because of Rebecca. You love her more than anyone I have ever seen. In fact, I don't think you love yourself the way you love her," Katherine stated matter-of-factly.

"You're correct; she is my first love," he smiled, and Katherine frowned.

"I hate it that a woman is making you smile," she bit her lip.

"Good afternoon, Sir," the mall attendant said to them.

As the mall attendant assisted them, Alpha Luciano picked out some dresses. Katherine went to the dressing room while he waited for her.

When she emerged, he teased her, making her feel shy.

"You're stunning; this dress was made for a goddess like you. I'm pretty sure about that," he commented, his tone both blunt and charming.

Katherine blushed, trying to hide her embarrassment. "Alpha, you don't need to say such things."

"Oh, but I do. It's not every day I have the pleasure of accompanying such beauty," he continued, unfazed by her discomfort.

She looked down, feeling a mix of flattery and awkwardness. "You're just saying that."

"I don't say things I don't mean," he replied, his eyes locking onto hers. "And trust me, Katherine, I mean every word."

CRIMSON MOON PACK

"Klaus, where on earth have you been?" Victoria retorted, entering his study.

Alpha Klaus looked at her sternly, and she swallowed. "I was worried; you know your conditions, so I had to check up on you," she pulled a nearby seat and sat down.

"I'm not a pup; I can take care of myself. Do you know about the Silver Fangs pack?" He questioned, and Victoria's eyes widened a bit before she nodded.

"Yes, we're not really friends," she responded.

"I was told by my Beta that I was invited to their party, I guess to welcome Luna, uhmm… I think her name is Rebecca." he mumbled.

"Luna Rebecca? I thought she went missing five or six years ago," she made a face. "Anyway, that's not my business; you're not going."

"You're not Alpha; I am," Alpha Klaus rolled his eyes.

"Can you hear yourself, Klaus? You lost your memories, at least for a short period. If that bastard, Alpha Luciano, figures it out, we would be in so much trouble!" She replied.

"And how exactly?"

"Uhmm…the fact that we fought them years back, and their pack almost went extinct!" Victoria yelled.

"Years back, I was probably not born yet!"

"Our ancestors and their ancestors were never on good terms; you can't break that now!!" She shouted, slamming her hands on the table.

"Victoria, calm down. I need to go; it's an important event," Alpha Klaus insisted, his tone firm.

"Important event? Klaus, you're risking everything! If they recognize you, our entire pack could be in jeopardy," Victoria pleaded.

"I'll be careful; I won't reveal anything. I just want to see what this Luna Rebecca is like," he responded, standing up.

"Klaus, please reconsider. We can't afford any mistakes," she implored, reaching out to grab his arm.

He shook her off. "I'm making my own decisions, Victoria. I can handle this."

"You're being reckless, Klaus! This is not the time for your stubbornness," she raised her voice, frustration evident.

"I've made up my mind. I'm going," Alpha Klaus declared, walking towards the door.

"You're putting the entire pack at risk because of some Luna you've never even met!" Victoria exclaimed, her worry turning into anger.

Alpha Klaus turned back, a defiant look in his eyes. "I won't let fear dictate my actions. I'm going, and that's final."

Victoria's eyes flashed with frustration. "You're being foolish, Klaus. If anything happens, it's on you."

He opened the door, ready to leave. "I'll take responsibility for my choices."

With that, Alpha Klaus left, leaving Victoria standing in the study, her worry deepening as the door closed behind him.

He got into his car, and his beta followed suit from the other side.

"Since Luna is back, what do you think will happen to Katherine?" His beta questioned, unaware that he had lost his memories, patiently waiting for a response.

"Katherine?" Alpha Klaus paused, trying to recall.

"Well, what do we do? It wouldn't be surprising if we see her serving dishes there. I mean, Alpha Luciano wouldn't marry an Omega whom you rejected," his beta chuckled.

"Rejected?" Alpha Klaus furrowed his eyebrows, puzzled.

"Have you suddenly forgotten?" His beta looked at him, and Alpha Klaus shook his head.

"No, never mind. How long is this drive?" He glanced at the driver through the central mirror of the car.

"Six hours," the driver replied, and Alpha Klaus leaned back in his seat, shutting his eyes.

When they arrived at the Silver Fang pack, his beta gently shook him awake. As Alpha Klaus opened his eyes, he looked around at the magnificent surroundings before finally stepping out of the car.

"Is this the pack house? It's..." He was momentarily stunned, struggling to find words. Unlike his pack house, Alpha Luciano's pack house screamed luxury and opulence.

"Welcome, Alpha Klaus; we are delighted to have you," a Silver Fang pack member greeted, and Alpha Klaus composed himself as he entered, carefully observing the grandeur of the place. The architecture and decorations were a stark contrast to what he was accustomed to.

The interior was adorned with intricate details, and the air carried an essence of sophistication. Alpha Klaus couldn't help but be impressed, albeit slightly uncomfortable in this unfamiliar environment.

"Alpha Klaus, this way, please," a pack member guided him further into the pack house.

As they walked, his beta leaned in and whispered, "Quite different from our humble abode, isn't it?"

Alpha Klaus nodded, absorbing the surrounding opulence. The scent of unfamiliar werewolves lingered in the air, and the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation.

Meanwhile, in Rebecca's lavish room, skilled maids continued to artfully style her hair and apply makeup to enhance her features.

"Ah!" she winced softly, as though disturbed by a fleeting discomfort. She scratched her neck forcefully and sighed.

"Luna, how do you adore this pendant?" a maid asked, presenting a delicate piece as Rebecca assessed it through the mirror.

"I love it; it complements the dress beautifully."

As the maid moved behind her to fasten the necklace, a horrified gasp escaped her. A network of green, irritating veins pulsed on Rebecca's neck, appearing on the verge of eruption. Startled, the maid let out a loud scream, stumbling backward and falling onto the floor.

"Ahh!!"
