Akira did what he had to do and cooked the deer like the chef that he was.
He made sure to use the seasoning that he had gathered on the food.
While letting the food cook for a bit, he made sure to drop off about 3 cooked pieces of meat at the meeting place where he had met the kids.
He made sure they were put in bags and tightly wrapped so animals could get to them.
He had a deal to uphold and he was in no mood to get his identity revealed.
Once the food was fully finished.
Akira served himself the best part of the deer, sitting at his table.
He poured life energy into his arms, and with his Byakugan activated he could see the thin layer of life energy in his hand.
Using the layer like a blade, Akira managed to cut the food into tiny little pieces.
His hand was currently as sharp as a knife.
Upon deactivating his Byakugan, Akira started to devour the meat like there was no other.
He was stuffing his mouth with so much seasoned meat.
After so long, his food actually had a taste, it was no longer bland meat or salty meat...instead, now his food tasted....good.
He could taste the flavor and he enjoyed every single bite he took out of the food.
The flavor was just melting in his mouth.
The boy seems to be having what some would call....a foodgasm.
He liked it that much, he just couldn't stop himself from eating food.
The food was just that good.
As the time went by, Akira was seen patting his belly.
He was already full.
He patted his bloated belly feeling quite content with what he had achieved.
He did not care if he had just eaten half a deer in one day, he was just content with finally having seasoned food since the first time he had step food in this world.
His eyes went toward the leftover meal....he would have to store that food somewhere.
Considering he didnt have the luxury of a freezer to help him.
Considering he didnt have electricity and modern society to help him he was cooked, plus he only had the basic stuff about surviving alone.
He was by no means a genius, even if he knew eletricity existed and how the mechanic of a fridge worked, he wasn't smart enough to figure out, how to make electricity.
He decided to go with the good old method of drying and then smoking the meat.
He then thinly sliced the remaining meat, making sure it was evenly dried.
He then placed the slices of meat on a piece of tin and hung them in a well-ventilated area, allowing the sun to dry the meat.
Considering he still had about 4 hours of sunlight left, this should have been enough to dry the meat.
For the smoking, Akira had built a simple smoking rack using dry sticks and branches. He had placed a pan of smoldering wood chips underneath the rack, in order to create a smoky environment that would help preserve the meat and hopefully add a new unique flavor.
As the meat smoked, Akira carefully monitored the process, he made sure it wasn't overcooked or burnt, his Byakugan and nose were working overtime but he didnt care, he just used this as a training method to strengthen his eyes.
After several hours...like the sun was already going down, he finally took the meat out and let it cool down in the cold air that was nighttime.
The meat was tough and chewy now, but Akira didnt mind.
At least he would have food for the foreseeable future.
And to someone like him, that was the most important thing ever.
The next thing was finding a way to join the survey corp, he wanted to be part of the main core of the story and since everything was revolving around the survey corp, he wanted to join them.
However, with the whole byakugan thing, he was beginning to realize his eyes were more important than he first thought.
It might be an issue for him.
Though considering that the three kids knew anything about it, he could roughly estimate it wasn't common knowledge.
The reasons were simple, Eren's dad was like a pretty good doctor in the wall, even treating nobles at some point, so if the Byakugan was something that ever showed up in his talk, he could have told Eren that since he seemed to be so close with his son.
Armin was also a curious child reading a lot of books about the outside world, he even knew what the ocean was....so if he did not know what Akira byakugan was.
Then, there was a slight chance that what his eyes were, were not a common thing that people knew.
Only certain individuals knew about them, and he knew for sure those certain individuals were probably nobility considering what the scavenger had said.
They wanted him, considering the scavenger had dropped their weapons in order to get him.
They wanted him alive.
...
....
So much to think about.
