Akira was seen making his way down the mountain, over the last couple of weeks, he was starting to feel like he would go insane if he was forced to live up the mountain by himself.

He was out of salt and he was hoping to get some salt that way, by buying it from the source.
He walked to a nearby salt shop, he pointed at the salt, and asked.

The look on the vendor's face was that of annoyance.
"Let's say 10 ounces"
"That would be 10 silver and 15 bronze coins"

Akira added looking at the merchant.
The merchant looked just a bit stunned, as if not expecting a child to know how to do math, upon further looking at the child he noticed that the clothes the child seemed to wearing were quite clean.
Probably the son of some nobles.
"Listen here kid, taxes have been raised, I have to make a profit somehow, so do you want it or not"
"10 Silver and 5 Bronze"
"Don't haggle with me, kid"
"How about 6 Silver and a piece of freshly slaughtered rabbit"
The man's eyes seem to widen a bit at the kid's offer.
Meat...this was a word he wasn't expecting to hear anytime soon, he hadn't tasted meat in about a year in a half.
If this kid was right then, he would get his chance again.

Akira placed something wrapped in a packet infront of the man....the man could smell it from where he was.
It smelled delicious, he couldn't help himself but salivate a bit.
As the man reached to grab the food, Akira pulled the food away saying.
"Do we have a deal"
"Yeah kid, you can take the salt free of charge," The man said taking the meat from the kid.
Not wasting any time, Akira watched the man utterly devour the food like it had been years since the last time he was fed.
Upon finishing the food, he watched as the man even ate, the paper the food was wrapped in.
'goddam, he was starving?'
Upon finishing his food, the man looked at the kid before opening his mouth saying
"Do you have more"
"Depend, what do I gain from this?"
"You seem like you are new around here, so how about a deal, you get me some of that food and I give you info alongside all the salt you need"
'over one piece of meat....that crazy work'
However Akira made sure his thought stayed with him, he hesitated for a bit before saying.
"Deal"
Time skip.
Akira was seen walking with their hand in his pocket, he just had a great deal, and didnt even need to spend the money he had, just had to give a man some meat.
That sounded wrong, but oh well.
Who cared?
As he walked by, he heard the sound of people beating someone in an alleyway.
He turns his gaze to see 3 men looking at a little girl.
They seem to be taking a piece of bread from the kid.
"give..it back.." The child said but she was kicked in the face.
"Shut up"
The three men looking annoyed at the child took the bread from her weak hands.
"If you want to blame someone blame God for making you so weak," One of them said as they cut the bread into 3 pieces.
"P...please...I... haven't...eaten...in...3...days" The girl said weakly, however, the three men looked indifferent.
"That is none of our business"
The third man however had a maniacal look on his face.
"If you want the food why don't you work for it"
As those words left the man's mouth, Akira's spider senses activated...he could feel the pedophile aura all the way from here.
As he looked around he realized even if some adults could see this going down, none of them were helping the small child.
"What do you want me to do" The child said weakly.
"You have a soft hand, put them to use," The man said unbuckling his pants...

Akira was by no means a hero type, he would usually not go out of his way to save someone, he always went with the ideology of not my problem, not my concern or, someone else will do it.

Akira looked at the bread that was dirtied and sighed.
He walked to the girl and helped her clean her hair.
"That much better now"
Akira said softly.
"Who...are..you..." The girl asked.
"You can call me Akira...What's your name?"
The girl paused for a bit...
