Chereads / Hyuga in Attack on Titan / Chapter 5 - jacket (5)

Chapter 5 - jacket (5)

In the middle of nowhere inside of the wall Rose, a young man could be seen training aggressively, the young boy appeared to be around 10 to 11 years old.

He was repeatedly punching a tree.

This went on for a while until eventually, the young boy was tired, his fingers seemed to be bleeding a bit but he did not care.

Those wounds would heal eventually, now his main focus was to gain some food.

He was quite hungry, he walked toward the vast expanse of trees around his house and gazed at the surrounding area.

It was time for him to find something to eat.

Suddenly veins seem to appear next to his eyes as he looks all around him.

"Found you," He said as he saw a deer, this meat should last him a long time, he jumped on a tree and started the tree hoping toward where the deer was.

He made sure to make as little noise as possible so as to not alarm the animal, he just needed to hit the deer one.

Upon getting within 50 feet of the deer, the animal's eyes started to look around as its ears perked up.

It was looking for what made the noise but it couldn't find anything.

Akira waited for the deer to lower its guard in order to sneak in closer.

45 feet.

40 Feet

35 Feet.

30 Feet.

20 Feet.

15 Feet.

The deer looked up again, however, it was too late as Akira jumped at it from the shadow, the deer prepared itself to run but it was too late.

Akira managed to launch his gentle fist and managed to hit 2 of the deer's tenketsu points, those 2 points were 2 of its leg.

The deer was unable to move properly and was now lying on the floor looking at the white veiny eyes of the being about to slay him.

Akira not wanting the animal to suffer for any longer hit the tenketsu point located at the heart of the beast causing it to die immediately.

Now it was time for him to do everything he had learned from the books and watching Anime.

After making sure the kill was done, he returned to his house.

Using a sharp knife he had found he began gutting the deer along with making sure to let all the blood from the deer leak out the body.

He was in no mood to be puking out blood after eating it.

After waiting for a solid hour or two to make sure the deer was dry, he started to use the sharp knife in order to carefully skin the deer.

The fur peeled back surprisingly quite easily. He then made incisions, separating the meat from the bones and trimming away any excess fat.

His Byakugan was even activated during this time, he wanted to make sure he was as precise as humanly possible.

He divided the meat into smaller cuts, some he would cook immediately to satiate his hunger while others would be preserved for later.

He had placed the cuts in an airtight container and stored them in a cool, shaded area.

He knew that the deerskin could be valuable, he could sell it for some cash or use it to make some winter clothes.

Considering how cold the winter was in this place, he opted for the second option.

He spread the skin on a flat surface before he started sprinkling salt over it.

The salt would draw out moisture and preserve the beast's skin.

The winter months were coming and thus Akira was getting ready for the cold, he needed a jacket quite badly.

The deer fur he had preserved would be perfect for creating a warm jacket.

After a few hours, he began softening the fur by soaking it in a mixture of water and wood ash.

This helped break down the natural oil in the deer fur and prepared the fur for tanning.

As he was doing this, he also made sure to train every single day.

As the day went by, he rinsed the fur thoroughly and allowed it to dry.

Next, Akira used some makeshift stone tools that he had made in order to scrape the flesh and fat from the back side of the fur.

If he remembers correctly, this process was called fleshing.

It was essential for creating durable and comfortable leather.

Once the fur was fleshed, Akira stretched it on a frame securing it with pegs.

Considering he didnt have access to modern stuff, he would have to go the old-fashioned way.

By applying a mixture of brains and water to the fur, he was practically preserving the leather and making it softer.

Over the next few days, Akira would wake up, work out, eat, and then go to continue making the jacket.

He would stretch it and scrap it from time to time.

The process was quite tedious and bland.

However, he kept moving forward.

It shouldn't take much longer before he got his jacket...

Only took him like 3 weeks.....

Well, it would serve its job well enough, he still had some deer meat left for a while.

He was set for a bit longer.

All he needed to do was keep training.

His peace would hopefully stay for a while longer.

A/N will update this story anytime I feel like it, once I start releasing the Keitaro story again, I will have to slow down on the updates to not burn myself out.

Or just release like chunks of chapters(20 ish chapter)

In a single day and then take weeks breaks in order to stack up again and do the same cycle over again.
