"That…That damn old man tricked me! He told me you need my help so I followed him immediately but he brought me somewhere abandoned and I was almost…" Leonid huffed and tried to catch his breath.
He looked down at his left arm, where the sleeve of his shirt had been torn off, leaving his fair skin exposed. His voice was calm despite his heavy breathing and gasping, but his body was trembling. "I thought I was going to get sold off somewhere, I barely managed to escape two people and ran as fast as I could."
Mikhail's eyes darkened at the sight of the bruises on Leonid's arms. Leonid gently rubbed one of the bruises with his other hand, wincing at the pain.
