"Rodya, do you not like it here?"
Rodion glanced down at Viktor. They were heading to his room while he held his hand. Viktor's voice was filled with curiosity, as he looked straight ahead in the hallway. Although he tried to ask casually, Rodion noticed the sadness in his voice.
"I like it here, of course. Brother is considering going home soon but, it'll take a while."
Viktor looked up to him, "Really?"
Rodion smiled and nodded, "Really. I promise, and when that happens, I won't leave anymore."
Viktor's face lit up.
"I can't wait! I know Mother misses you, too. I sometimes saw her visiting your room. And Anya is always not at home because of school and Mishka can't play with me all the time."
Rodion couldn't help but laugh a little, remembering what type of play he would play with Mikhail.
