I woke up like any normal day. Far too early for my own good because you can never go wrong with starting your day with some gacha pulls. Then I started on my morning workout in my room. Squats, push ups, and pull ups on my pull up bar that hung on my doorframe. Once I was finished I took a shower. A normal morning that followed the routine I always had.
But the look I was giving myself in the mirror kept throwing me off while I brushed my teeth. It wasn't until I left the bathroom that my face relaxed.
"You ready for another day?" Tomori asked by the door acting overly excited.
I gave him a swift kick that sent him into the door then walked out. Oh, doing that felt so satisfying. I couldn't help but smile as I walked to school. I should probably make that apart of my daily routine.
Unfortunately Tomori appeared out of thin air and walked with me to school. Since I didn't live too far from school I didn't need to worry about it too much. Because now as I walked past the front gate I had other things to worry about. For one, it felt like everyone was looking at me. It made my skin crawl and I had to force myself to not show my discomfort on my face.
"Dazai, good morning." I called out when I saw him. Feeling lucky when I saw him so I could distract myself.
"Huh?" He turned around and raised an eyebrow at me. "Who are you? Why is a hot guy talking to me?"
"Hey, asshole, it's me. Sosuke Haruma." I said not hiding my disappointment.
"Damn, what happened to you? You look completely different. Good but different."
"Ugh, just drop it. Enough people are staring at me, I don't need you to look at me like I'm a different person too."
"Hahaha, I guess getting a girlfriend really does change a guy." He laughed as he smacked my back.
Which with his ex-delinquint strength hurt. I let out a sigh and walked inside with him. Changing our outdoor shoes for our indoor shoes.
"So is your sister here yet?" I asked as we walked through the halls.
"I hope. I told her to actually show up on time for once but she could very well be late or skip."
"On the first day? You two really are two of a kind."
"Hey, I'm reformed."
"You say that like it didn't take two years to get you to this point. And you think with our help she'll change over night? You're either dense or overly optimistic."
"Well it's good to see you haven't completely changed." He grinned as we came to a stop in front of my class. "I'll see you at lunch."
"Yeah see you then."
I walked inside and took a seat at my desk. Back of the class right next to the window. The cliche protagonist desk.
"I'm sorry, however that seat is already taken." Toshi said as he walked over.
"Hey! Why is everyone acting like they don't recognize me?" I shouted at him.
"Oh, Haruma, it's you. You look completely different with your hair finally cut. You look even better than how you looked in year one."
"Yeah, yeah, Dazai practically said the same thing." I said waving my hand dismissively. "You see the new girl yet Mr. President?"
He let out a sigh as he placed his hands on his hips. "I did." He stared over at the front of the class like he was imagining what was about to happen. "I feel like we're going to have our hands full with her. She's worse than when we first met Dazai."
"Great. Just what I wanted to hear you say." I responded sarcastically as I slouched back into my seat.
"Just don't cause any trouble either. Rumors have already been spreading that Azurie has a boyfriend but I don't think anyone knows that that is you yet."
I could tell just by the look that he was giving me that things have already escalated more than expected. I don't think I'll be able to just hide in the shadows like I planned to. Since her fan group acts more like a cult than anything else. They've scared enough people out of asking her out and I don't want to imagine what they'd do to me if they found out.
"Oooo~ I'm so excited. The time is ticking down and the newest encounter is almost here." Tomori squealed as he swayed left and right on my desk.
Now I was kind enough to simply open the window and threw him out. I closed the window as the teacher walked into the classroom. Telling us all to take our seats. I took one glance out the window and saw Tomori looking overly smug.
"Today I have a special announcement. We will be welcoming in a new transfer student that came from an all girls school." The teacher announced which brought my attention to the front.
Hm? What's with this menacing aura? Is boss music about to play now?
Just as those ridiculous thoughts popped up into my head she walked in. Striding to the front of the class in our uniform that was accompanied by a leather jacket. Black hair that was dyed white white highlights put up in a spiky ponytail. Black choker around her neck and a look in her eyes that I swear could kill someone.
I didn't know my jaw was dropped until somehow Tomori closed my mouth with his paw. Which I thanked him with a swift smack sending him off of my desk again.
"Yo, I'm Morita Hoshi. Let's have a good year." She introduced herself to the class in forced politeness. Her hands in her pockets as she scanned the whole class.
When her eyes landed on me I felt a shiver run down my spine. There was just something about the way she looked at me. Like she was seeing straight through me that both scared me and got me excited.
"Oh, okay, well you can take a seat at the open desk there." The teacher said hesitantly but she was already walking.
It took me a second to realize that she wasn't walking to the open desk, but to mine. She stopped right in front of my desk and looked down at me.
"I want this desk." She said with a look I immediately understood.
A look that said that she's going to have this desk one way or another. And there was absolutely no room for argument.
