The great council chamber of the Dragon Kingdom was a perfect image of ancient wealth. Its walls were a masterpiece of bright dragon scales embedded into the stone. Each scale seemed to emit a soft glow, as though the lifeblood of the kingdom still ran through the chamber itself. Golden light entered through vast arched windows, its shadow drawing on the polished marble floor. The air was fresh as a forest surrounded the kingdom on every side
Arianna stood at the heart of the chamber, the colour of her hair assuming it's natural state, a fiery auburn falling in waves over her shoulders. Her emerald eyes were roved over the dragon elders seated before her and her senses were on a high alert to catch any and every whisper. Their eyes ranged from wary to openly hostile, but she refused to be intimidated by any of them. She began to speak, her voice resonating with the authority of her lineage.
