The light of dawn spread over the vast expanse beyond the borders of the Crystal Pack, where the moon's power over the members of the Pack had begun to fade, leaving them to transform back into their human forms. The omegas brought in cloaks for everyone to take care of their nudity, but even then, not an eye left me; every eye was fixed on me. I could tell that most of them wanted to pounce on me and tear me to shreds. I had tears on my face and had been shutting Nixi up for a while now. She had been apologizing to me for her actions, but if she had listened to me, we wouldn't have been in this mess. She had just one job to do—to stay out of their fight, and she didn't. Instead, she led me right into the trap that got Selena killed by the pack in my story.
