"Bryan, let go please." My voice vibrated sonically and I did wanted to pull his hands away but I felt good having his hands on me that I hesitated to even hold his hands and all of a sudden we heard a knock on the door.
Bryan moved back immediately and cleared his throat before asking, "who is it?" At the moment I could not even move my legs from the spot where I stood. I noticed it was Gary who walked in to serve my food but I did not even turn to look at him. I don't know if I was shy, or shocked or afraid but one thing I wished for was to have Bryan go out with Gary.
"I came to drop this as instructed." Gary said and after dropping the plate of food, he made moves to leave but turned again to pass an information, "Alpha Bryan, before I forget, Derick just brought in the architect."
"Alright I'll be on my way to him." Bryan replied and looked me in the eye, I didn't know when the words came out "go on. We'll talk later." When I said that, he touched his chin with his fingers and smiled before walking away.
"Gosh, from one trouble to another. I should have let the vampires kill me instead." I muttered the moment he shut the door on his way out. What was more important to me was leaving Snowdon pack to find my brother because I believe that was the only person I would be safe with but then I knew it will be difficult to leave now seeing Bryan was the one who saved me and I owe him my life. As I ate my food, I felt irritated by the thoughts of him putting his hands on my breast even if it felt like I have had such experience before which was a good feeling but with someone I could not even recall his face. Somehow I wished I have my baby with me, someone I could talk to especially now. The moment I placed my hand on my stomach recalling how I use to talk to my unborn child months back, the lady, Emily opened the door...
"I've been knocking, why weren't you answering?" She asked and I noticed the anger in her eyes.
"I-I, sorry about that." I stuttered because words failed me. I could not explain to her that I was lost in thought so as to avoid explaining what I was thinking about.
"Well, that is a wrong start between us but I will be waiting for you outside. I was asked to take you into the woods with me." She said and left the moment she was done. I knew I blew it.
A couple of minutes later, I left the room to go with her but the moment she saw me, she almost scolded me again for putting on the blue gown.
"Are we going for a party? Ariel! Please go and put on something more flexible. Trousers if you don't mind!"
That minute I knew we were never going to get along, I left immediately and ignored the rest of them that started laughing at me. We went into the woods at exactly 3:56pm and to be frank, I never liked it here. Everything looks awkward to me and no matter what Emily said, my mind was far away.
"Everyone has shifted, what are you waiting for, Ariel?!" She scolded me. I hated that she's always yelling my name and looking unhappy whenever she was talking to me directly, I had to reply her with an unmannered approach, "did you ask if I am able to transform into a wolf before ordering me to do it? Aren't you suppose to teach me how to transform first? I wonder why the Alpha chose you to be my teacher." I finished and with arms folded, I looked away. I noticed she was surprised I responded to her the way I did. Her hands were literally on her waist before she said something else to me, and the rest of the female werewolves had ran off into the thick parts of the wood with respect to the game she was having them play. "Okay, I am sorry I did not ask. I am at fault, I should have taught you. Walk with me." She said and started moving.
I became guilty again for my actions. I never should have responded so ill-mannered to my teacher, I followed her willingly.
"So tell me, where did you say you come from and your first experience changing into a wolf. Bryan told me he found you as a wolf but you were helpless he had to save you. Tell me more about yourself."
Without looking at her face, I said, "there isn't much to tell about me. I am just a lonely girl trying to find my brother. I am from Whitewood." I sounded ashamed of myself because I felt Bryan had spread the news about me being helpless at the time he found me. Emily halted and looked at me with furrowed brow and at this point we were both standing on a cliff, one more step and we will fall off — it was a waterfall actually.
"You know I use to think werewolves from Whitewood are fearless and powerful but you have totally wrecked that idea."
"Really?" I asked wondering what she was thinking at the moment for I was a step ahead of her.
"Really yes. And I can't believe a werewolf needs to be taught on how to transform into a wolf when it is an inherent ability. Especially a werewolf from Whitewood. Now I need to confirm if Bryan really found a white wolf or he lied just to bring you into Snowdon pack." Instantly, Emily pushed me off the cliff and before I know it, I found myself struggling to swim. The fall was so sudden, I noticed I was screaming before I fell twenty feet from up there, but in those moments, I noticed a quick transformation that happened at the speed of light. I kept swimming until I was out of the flowing water.
"Are you alright down there, Ariel?!" I heard Emily's as she kept screaming "now that wasn't difficult, was it?!"
At first I howled in expression of my anger that she pushed me but I had to speak to ensure she was really listening, I transformed back into my human form and yelled "I am going to kill you for doing that!"
"No you won't, now get up here and join the others!" She replied with a loud voice. My clothes were even ripped apart, but I managed to still make use of them. I turned to head up only to find three men staring at me with fury and ready to attack,
"Emily! Tell me you can see these guys from up there!" I shrilled because I knew they were vampires. I have encountered them once to tell the difference.
