Chapter 9 - Seductive

"Ariel, transform and run in the other direction and don't look back, I am on my way!" Emily instructed with a loud voice, I noticed she was already on her way to me. I thought of running but I knew they are going to catch up with me because they were very close. I tried transforming but it was still difficult for me, everything was happening so fast and just about the time one of them leaped, I fisted to throw a punch without even knowing what I was doing. All I wanted was to defend myself but then, I noticed my spine cracking and my hands turning into furs. Claws showed up the moment I stroke the vampire with my hand and I felt stronger when he fell. The other two stepped backwards but never relented because they saw the guy who fell rising up again to attack me. I used my claws to my advantage as he aggressively smashed my cheek with his palm. Though it was painful but I literally found myself getting more angry. The wolf in me took over my fears and turned me into a bold and combative carnivore, I grabbed one of them, lifted him up and smashed him against a rock and that was when Emily showed up. Like raging fire, she pulled one away from me and I had to deal with the last one.

"Ariel, come with me, quickly." She ordered when all three were down and I had to follow her without transforming back into my human form. This time, I felt good and appreciated my nature unlike the first night I transformed into a full wolf. I loved this form a little because we were running with our two feet than the full wolf form wherein I had to use my four legs.

"Emily, did you know about them?" I asked and slowed down.

"Yes I know they are vampires. Why are you stopping?"

"You know they were lurking around here yet you brought us here and you f*cking pushed me!" I yelled at her.

"Come on, Ariel. Not now. Let's get to others first." She said I kept running. I never wanted to go with her but I had to know what was really going on so I followed her.

"Everyone, gather round," Emily commanded and as they come closer, she said, "we'd have to quit training for today. Ariel and I were confronted at the cliff of Tart. Three vampires are dead. We have to go back to the pack before it gets really dark out here."

"Tell them the whole truth. You pushed me down there and I was the one more vulnerable. Tell them you knew they were down there and you wanted me dead. I was the one who was attracked not you!" I ranted in a way that made the rest of them fix their gaze on me.

"I did push you off the cliff because I wanted you to transform and it's all my fault. For the records I said I knew they were vampires. I never said I knew they were going to be down there. None of us have ever seen a vampire around this woods for as long as we could recall. This has been our training ground. I will not possibly want you dead. It's against our culture here in Snowdon." Emily voiced out with so much innocence I felt her sincerity.

"It's true, Ariel. I see no reason why she would want to kill you. Besides you are new to the pack and if there is anyone the alpha trusts to train us and ensure our safety, it will be Emily."

"And who are you?" I asked staring right into the eyes of the teenage boy that came forward to vouch for her.

"I am Raph."

"And I am Kelly. I support what Raph just said, and I am sure we all do," another girl asserted and I had to look at the faces of each one of them, looks like they all believed in Emily and I was wrong, "none of us have seen the vampires come around. Though we've heard that they have been entering Winsburg and maybe occupying some areas but not Snowdon and Tart. At least not until lately." Kelly finished.

"I am sorry, Ariel, I..." Emily was still going to apologize but I had to stop her because I was now having a rethink and could understand.

"No, I am sorry. I am sorry I had to misinterprete you because I felt you all are the same with the people who want me dead. I think I owe you an apology, so thank you for coming to save me back there and for helping me discover what I could do. I am sorry." Emily smiled when she heard those words come from me and I felt exhilarated too I had to give back a smile.

"Now that was easy. Okay guys, I think we are forgetting to leave." Raph reminded us when it seems everyone was quiet and caught up in the emotional atmosphere.

"We have to head back to Snowdon pack. When we get there, you guys will have to allow me and Ariel do the talking. Ariel stay close to me." Emily addressed the rest of us and led the way. A few minutes later, we arrived the pack mansion and they that went with us came out of the vehicles we drove back to Snowdon with — three cars precisely.

I began to see Emily differently and it was not just her, but the rest of them here, totally different from those of blood moon pack at Whitewood. I could only conclude that the unity and love among the pack was because they had an inspiring leader in person of alpha Bryan. The way he handled the situation after Emily and I were done giving him reports of the event that took place was amazing. He deployed wolf warriors to secure a perimeter around the borders of Snowdon led by Paula, and they call themselves 'Eta.

I started admiring Emily and could not wait for the next day so I could get along with her, though she pushed me.

I entered my room, shut the door to have some time alone because it's been a long day. The moment I was done taking a shower and stepped out of the bathroom with only my towel on, I became startled by the presence of Bryan. "Shit you scared me!" I mean, he was sitting comfortably on my bed waiting for me come out of the bathroom. I don't expect to see him at all; his presence was beginning to piss me off, for crying out loud, I didn't give him permission to be in my room.

"I am sorry, I did not want to disturb you. I noticed you were having your bath, I had to wait here.

"You didn't even knock!"

"Do I have to? This is my castle and I am the richest man in Winsburg."
